Entertainer Kal Penn comes out as gay and is engaged to his partner of 11 years. The actor and former Obama administration official announced that he is planning on marrying Josh who he disclosed the last name.
The entertainer reveals his relationship and his life as an entertainer and public official in his memoir "You Can't Be Serious" which is slated for release on November 2.

"I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people. There's no timeline on this stuff," said Penn.
Penn met Josh while working with the White House Office of Public Engagement.
Known professionally as Kalpen Suresh Modi, the entertainer is best known for his iconic role in the movie Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle as well as Love Don't Cost a Thing and Designated Survivor.
The New Jersey native who's parents are immigrants from India has been very vocal about Washed Up 45 and the far-right impact. He felt offended by the former president's attacks on Asian-Americans based on the coronavirus which he continues to refer as the "China Virus."
Penn had resigned from The President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities after Washed Up 45 endorsed the Unite The Right rally by saying they're "very fine people" on both sides.
On CBS Sunday Morning he tells his story and how he felt the need to public address his sexuality to the public before marrying his partner.
