The Texas abortion law is blocked temporarily. The federal court has blocked the controversial six week abortion ban and it will set up a Supreme Court battle which may lead to end of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. The Roe decision could impact millions of women who want access to prenatal health care and the decision to terminate a pregnancy.

Conservatives are hoping to keep the culture wars going by passing legislation that rolls back voting rights, a woman's right to choose, the safety net, vaccine mandates and mask mandates.

Republicans are hoping to distract Americans from their role in Washed Up 45's controversial legacy. He led thousands of his followers to attack the U.S. Capitol in a last ditch effort to overturn the presidential election.

The federal court has blocked the decision which means that it will be fastrack to the Supreme Court.

The Biden Administration had ordered Attorney General Merrick Garland to sue the state of Texas and it successfully managed to block the implications of this state's law.

The culture wars continue.

"From the moment S.B. 8 went into effect, women have been unlawfully prevented from exercising control over their lives in ways that are protected by the Constitution," U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman wrote in his decision.

"The other courts may find a way to avoid this conclusion is theris to decide; this Court will not sanction one more day of this offensive deprivation of such an important right."

Gov. Karen Abbott vows to fight. The Texas law bans abortions after fetal cardiac activity is detected -- s point usually around six weeks into a pregnancy and often before a woman knows she is pregnant. It took effect on September 1 after the Supreme Court declined an emergency request to block it.
