Debut album from Lil Nas X.

The American rapper, singer, media personality and internet troll Lil Nas X released MONTERO and it's expected to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums. He will be the first openly LGBTQ entertainer to achieve this.

His previous album, the EP, 7 was released in 2019 with the smash single Old Town Road and it broke the internet. The rapper signed to Columbia Records shortly after. 

He came out in June 2019 and it also broke the internet.

Since then, he's been plotting for this debut album which will be the first full-length album. He named it MONTERO for the fact this album is personal to him. Since coming out, he's been a subject of attacks from washed up entertainers Raymond Scott, Boosie BadAzz and Glasses Malone. He also distanced himself from former collaborator DaBaby after he made his infamous homophobic rants.

The album is 15 tracks and it has production from Lil Nas X, Take a DayTrip, Fedi, Lenzo, Harris, Levesque, Slatkin, Tedder, KBeaZy, John Cunningham, Sheff, Lee, Lang, Nick Mira and DT.

He has features from Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion and Miley Cyrus.

There is a single called DOLLA SIGN SLIME featuring Megan Thee Stallion which appears to be aimed at Boosie BadAzz and DaBaby. 

The album was released at 12am. It was exclusively premiered on APPLE Music before its official release.
