Red state racism.

Mind you this is Rep. Karen Banks' (R-IN) district. The white nationalist who is crying that he was kicked off the 1/6 insurrection select committee.

Instead of calling the police, an Indiana mother decided to take matters into his own hands. She ended up becoming an embarrassment not only to her son but the city of Fort Wayne.

She will be heading to the Allen County lockup after a video surfaced of her chasing a teen with a knife.

The woman called the Black teen a NIGGER because she let her emotions get the best of her. Yeah, the "freedom of speech" allows you to say racial slurs. But the repercussions are real.

The incident happened in May when the woman's 13-year old son told her he was being assaulted by another teen at the playground. The woman rolled up on the teen and his siblings. She would exit her car with a knife and start chasing the teen around and using racial slurs. 

"That's right, you're running, NIGGER," the woman is heard saying.

Chasing a teen through a park with a knife calling him a NIGGER was really smart.

The woman has a warrant for her arrest and her whereabouts are unknown. 

ChangeMakers of Fort Wayne urged the public to contact local officials and demand action.

Daylana Saunders and Alisha Rauch with the group say this is a part of holding people accountable.

"I was appalled, angry, sickened," Rauch said. "The pressure that we were able to put on them and the support of our community made them able to charge her.” 

Saunders say they have a list of demands for the rest of suspect's case.

"We hope that the community realizes that when we work together, we can expose the disparities in our system," Saunders said. "We can work together for change.” 

She is being charged with intimidation, criminal mischief, assault with a deadly weapon, making terrorist threats and child abuse. These charges could put her in the iron college for up to five years if convicted.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
