The desperation from the Nina Turner campaign shows how close this election is between her and opponent Shontel Brown. In less than five days, those living in the 11th Congressional District of Ohio will turn out and vote for their primary candidate. The Republicans will pick their nominee and the Democrats will pick theirs.

In a safe Democratic district, there is 10 candidates running for the seat. But it appears to be two woman race. Turner and her allies are trying to tarnish Brown as the "corporate Democrat who may go to jail" if she is elected.

Turner is hosting a GOTV rally with Bernie Sanders and Cori Bush.

Brown, a Cuyahoga County councilwoman has been hit a slew of baseless allegations from leftists and it's really pathetic that we've gotten to this point.

Turner, a former Ohio state senator and former campaign advisor to Bernie Sanders two failed presidential bids decided to run for the seat vacated by Marcia Fudge. She has been considered a frontrunner because of her name recognition. Unfortunately, her name recognition and her actions of the past have comeback to haunt her.

Turner is best known for saying voting for Joe Biden is like eating "half a bowl of shit." She also is known for embracing Green Party nominee Karen Stein in the 2016 presidential election in which Washed Up 45 beaten Hillary Clinton.

Turner is a walking ethics probe but she's calling Brown the person who has ethics issues.

Turner has decided to throw the kitchen sink, toilet bowl and garbage disposal at Brown.

This white leftist named Karen Bragman has wrote a piece for Newsweek (and The Daily Poster) with the allegations that Brown is facing a probe from the Ohio Auditor. According to the piece, Brown single-handedly gave her boyfriend and family members contracts. She unilaterally gave herself a raise without any question.

The allegations come from Newsweek and The Intercept, two leftist tabloids that are screaming at the clouds. The Cleveland/Akron media market have not mentioned anything these tabloids covered.

The Intercept claims that in April that Brown, who had pledged to recuse herself "as necessary" from contracts involving her partner, Mark Perkins, had used her position as Cuyahoga County Commissioner to help steer $17 million in contracts to Perk. Perk was founded with Perkins' uncle but is now owned by the Cifani family, who have long-established business ties to the Perkins family and who have supported Brown's campaigns for office.

The Intercept noted that in February 2017, weeks after approval of one of those contracts for $7 million, Perk hosted a fundraiser for Brown's reelection campaign.

According to emails provided to The Daily Poster, in April the Intercept's story was forwarded to the Ohio Attorney General's office. The following month, an official in the attorney general's office noted in an email that she discussed the matter with an attorney in the state auditor's office. "We are both of the opinion that it makes sense for the Auditor's office to review, and we also believe that this might end up being a case that is referred to [the] Ethics Commission," the official wrote.

It's almost over!

The Intercept's report was forwarded to the auditor's office, and, according to a June 2 email from a representative of the office's Special Investigations Unit, the matter has now been sent to the Ohio Ethics Commission, the state's official public corruption watchdog, for review.

"The recommendation by the Special Audit Task Force was to refer this matter to the Ohio Ethics Commission for its review and consideration," noted the email. "The Auditor of State strives to make sure all matters are referred to the agency which has jurisdiction. For this reason, the Auditor of State is referring this matter to the above-mentioned agency."

Based on the information provided in the email, the person who sent the story to the attorney general's office and the auditor's office has no affiliation with the Turner campaign.

A representative of the Ohio Ethics Commissions would not confirm or deny any allegations or investigations, noting that under state law, the only investigative documents that are made public are settlement agreements, and no such agreements currently exist on the matter in question.

Now Turner is also gathering the usual suspects to get a last minute rally for voters.

Sen. Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Minnesota Secretary of State Keith Ellison and Cornel West will be guests at her GOTV rally at The Agora Theater.

Sanders could be forced to stay in Washington, DC if the Senate has to vote on the infrastructure bill.

Bush claimed the bipartisan deal made by the Senate is disgraceful. She said it was more like a Kid Rock concert. We'll explain that in the next posting.

Cornel West was denied tenure at Harvard University. He resigned leaving a scorch earth letter ending all his hopes of getting hired at other prominent schools.

Ellison's appearance at the event could make the murderer of George Floyd protest his sentencing.

These tactics are a sign of desperation.

The race in Ohio's 11th Congressional District would have been relatively low turnout and not much to worry about. But since Turner decided to bring a clown car of agitation and desperation, we have a national race and a determination on what path the Democrats should take going into 2022.

Should we do the policies of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) or the follow the policies of President Joe Biden?

Brown is hosting an event with Jim Clyburn, Joyce Beatty and Bennie Thompson.

I think I rather stick to the policies of the current president. I think the people of Cleveland, Akron and Cuyahoga Falls support the policies of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden trounced Sanders in the 2020 Democratic primaries despite the pandemic and delay.

Turner's attacks are backfiring.

As many of you read on Journal de le Reyna, I've posted many stories about Turner. From the insufferable supporters of Bernie Sanders to the current race, Turner represents the controversial problems the Democratic Party is facing. How far should the party go without losing voters? I mean Washed Up 45 has a 90% approval rating with Republicans. Even though he is no longer in office, he still is trolling with large rallies and pushing conspiracies to generate buzz for a 2024 run.

With Republicans capitalizing off of fear-mongering and the culture war, Turner could hurt the Biden agenda and progressive movement. She will be a distraction and an ineffective leader who appears more on television, radio and the internet. She would be an activist not a lawmaker. It will hurt the progressive movement and it will certainly not get things back to normal.

If you live in Ohio's 11th Congressional District, please vote in the election. Vote for Shontel Brown.

She will be the perfect candidate to represent Cleveland, Akron and the region. She is not perfect and does have controversial issues attached to her, but she's far better than Turner.

Turner is too much of an activist. She will be the anchor tied to the Democrats neck. She will be too polarizing and it will make it difficult for Tim Ryan, the moderate running for U.S. Senate to win. It will also make Republicans redistrict the area to make Turner and Marcy Kaptur fight over the district.

Turner will cost Democrats in Ohio seats because she's tied to Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib. They have no accomplishments as lawmakers. I respect their passion but they need to work on fixing the problems and help President Joe Biden succeed.

VOTE FOR SHONTEL BROWN.

IGNORE THE NOISE!
