Christina Grimmie's family was torn by the loss. Her mother had died from cancer in 2018.

Five years ago, we lost a rising pop singer and songwriter to gun violence.

One day before the Pulse Nightclub massacre, singer Christina Grimmie was assassinated by a terrorist at an autograph signing. The terrorist was apparently obsessed with her. He traveled from St. Petersburg, Florida to Orlando to see her performance. Christina was performing at The Plaza Live in Orlando. The singer had opened for the band Before You Exit and was meeting fans and signing autographs a half hour after the concert ended when she was shot.

Police hailed Christina's brother as a hero, and said he rushed the terrorist, whom they described as a white male with two loaded magazines and a large hunting knife in addition to the two handguns he was carrying.

He managed to get into the autograph session where Christina was signing for fans. The terrorist brought out a CD and got a hug from her. The hug would soon become a grope and I guess he didn't like her moving on. So he pulls out his firearm and shoots her directly in the head and chest.

She was soon on the ground bleeding to death. The terrorist would try to aim at the others in the room but was quickly disarmed.

Christina's brother and bodyguard would pummel him to the ground. The terrorist got back up and ran into a room where he was cornered. He would soon go out like a punk by shooting himself in the head.

The terrorist would die at the scene. Christina would die of her injuries after being taken to a local Orlando hospital.

Photos show the terrorist watching the concert.

Her death sparked discussions about stalkers and the safety for entertainers, athletes and politicians.

Christina's death was very similar to Gabrielle Giffords. The former Arizona lawmaker was doing a public event when a terrorist opened fire on her and seven others. He was quickly caught and is currently held in federal time out for murder and attempted murder of a federal official.

The lives of celebrities. Here's a small list of entertainers killed by gun violence.

Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Nipsey Hussle, King Von, Pop Smoke and Soulja Slim were victims of gun violence. They were popular entertainers during the 1990s to 2010s.

Christina Grimmie was a pop singer, songwriter and occasional actress who dreamed big.

Congress continues to stall gun reform. In the wake of mass shootings, celebrities being killed by gun violence and police shootings of unarmed suspects, what will it take for Congress to act on this epidemic of violence?
A gunman may plot a mass shooting on politicians at their weakest points.
A gunman may plot a terrorist attack on an institution.
A gunman may plot a racially-motivated attack on a minority or religious institution.
A gunman may plot an attack on the free press and target well-known media personalities.
A gunman may plot an attack on a celebrity, a concert or a large gathering.
All of these things happened and Congress refuses to curb gun violence.

It never stops!

It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!

I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.

THERE IS NO GOD!

GOD IS NOT FIXING THIS!

FUCK YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence
