We are not confirming that entertainer DMX has passed away. We haven't got word from entertainment sites and the Associated Press.

Let me be clear, the confirmation is that he is on life support and family members have said that his organs are not working. The possibility of him being "brain dead" is likely but we can't run on gossip.

However, if he does pass away, we will report it here on Journal de la Reyna.

The 50-year old entertainer was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after collapsing. According to news reports, DMX (born Earl Simmons) had a drug overdose that led to a massive heart attack.

His eldest children will have to make the decision to pull the plug. The entertainer has 15 children and possibly five other children.

DMX (aka Dark Man X) was an American rapper, songwriter and actor. He began rapping in early 1990s and released his debut album "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" in 1998. He released his follow up albums, "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood" in the same year.
DMX leaves behind a legacy of rap, acting and controversy.

He also released his third album, "...And Then There Was X" which led to two top selling singles, "Party Up (Up In Here)" and "What These.... Want" which featured Dru Hill's Sisqo.

He released "The Great Depression" and "Grand Champ" in 2002 and 2004 respectfully. Each of his albums were under the Def Jam Recordings label with association from his management team Ruff Ryders.

Ruff Ryders was comprised of DMX, Eve, The Lox (Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch), Drag-On, Swizz Beatz, Yung Wun, Jin and Cassidy.

DMX left Def Jam and released his final national album on Columbia Records, Year of the Dog...Again.

For awhile, DMX had struggled with drug abuse, weight gain, taxes and child support. He was diagnosed as bipolar and paranoid. He would often be known to have erratic actions when upset.

DMX also had spurned fans in the past. I was one of them. He skipped Dayton, Ohio when he and the Ruff Ryders were touring with Cash Money Records. We spent $140 on watching a concert only to be disappointed by a wack comedian and a 40 minute Cash Money Records performance.

DMX had released many mixtapes during his independent times and was hoping to make a huge comeback.

DMX had worked with Swizz Beatz, Irv Gotti, Dame Grease, Trackmasters and No I.D. for his upcoming project. He also hinted that he was reuniting with Def Jam to release his latest albums.

He even hinted the heavy hitters like Kanye West and Dr. Dre producing the album.

Again, we have no confirmation of DMX's passing. All we can do is believe that he's still hospitalized.
