A member of the Squad is causing more havoc. 

When we heard about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley and Ro Khanna, we were rooting for them. 

I was very supportive of them at first. I thought of them as a sign of change in the Democratic Party.

But now I consider them only gadflies and distractions. 

It wasn't an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist.

Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder.

No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can't be reformed.

Apparently, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is willing to cost more Democrats seats in competitive districts.

The lawmaker who had no accomplishments other than being on social media and television is literally saying that we need to just end policing. 

To emphasize her point that the police are inherently violent and no disagreement with her is possible, she declared that "I am done with those who condone government funded murder."

Most Democrats do not support this but the white nationalist Republicans will hang this around the necks of House Democrats. The Democrats won on anti-Trump not Bernie Sanders' vision of America. 

Tlaib, a former supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) presidential campaign refused to endorse Joe Biden for president in the general election. She eventually did in October 2020.

Tlaib, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had tough primaries but they would eventually beat their primary challengers. 

Tlaib is considered the most vulnerable Democrat to face a primary. She represents the 13th Congressional District which includes most of Metro Detroit. The district is predominantly Black.

Biden overwhelmingly carried the district in the primary and the state of Michigan in 2020.

Duante Wright will not be forgotten.

Tlaib is a Sunni Muslim. She and Omar are the first Muslim women to serve in the Congress. Both have been very critical of Biden.

I endorse their support of ending funding to Israel. The Israeli government have continued to violate United Nations terms when it comes to building settlements in the West Bank and blocking food and medical aid to the Gaza Strip. Their criticisms often are targeted for far-right outage and false accusations of anti-Semitism. 

Electing people of color to become U.S. Representatives is an accomplishment. I mean the Democratic Party is first to have an African American man to be the President of the United States. Barack Obama, born of an African father and a white American mother won his presidency in 2008 and 2012. His vice president became the current president. Joe Biden, the current U.S. president is from Wilmington, Delaware, a city that has a Black majority population.

The Democratic Party continues to lead the way in historical firsts. The first woman born as African and Asian American to be Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris the daughter of a Jamaican man and Indian mother. She became the first woman to have title of Vice President.

The Squad has been a distraction to the movement. They are becoming more of a nuisance than a benefit. For one thing, when you hear Ocasio-Cortez, Omar and Tlaib on television or radio reacting to the latest controversies in the country, you hear them as activists not lawmakers.

They could draft a bill and have it on the floor within minutes. However, they have little accomplishments legislatively.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has drafted a book. She has called out Republicans and the Squad for making noise instead of solutions.
