With the Blogger interface, it is getting harder to make blog posts. I am not kidding.

The way they rolled this interface out maybe the death knell for the once beloved media platform.

I am not going to lie, this is frustrating and I am going to make my postings shorter and quicker now.

The latest police shooting in the United States. Again, a never ending theme here on Journal de la Reyna is the “What Happened To” postings. I often do these postings in regards to the latest incident involving a person of color being either killed by gun or racially motivated violence. It's usually long but with Google fucking up Blogger to a point where its not possible, I'll do as much as I can.

Everyday, we still see these incidents of people of color being shot and killed by the police. Time after time, law enforcement seem to be never held accountable for shooting Black men and women. It's always the cop's word over the dead body.

I hope that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris work on police reform.  

These stories involve police shootings in which people of color are either injured or killed.

The police often get the benefit of the doubt whenever they use deadly force. Given we're still in a major pandemic which 500,000 Americans are gone, the issue of gun violence and systematic racism still exists in the United States.

This one happened in the Dayton, Ohio suburb of Trotwood, Ohio. The law claims that a 25-year old man attacked a police officer after he allegedly shoplifted from a Speedway gas station on Friday. The cops said that he left the gas station and went to a nearby residence. Upon arrival, the cops claim he had a knife on him and they shot him. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and three Trotwood cops are off the beat. They are in the freezer pending an investigation into whether use of force was justified.

On Friday night, the was an incident that involved a man stealing items from the Speedway. 

The Trotwood Police claim they had a previous encounter with him. Again, they are trying to justify the shooting by saying he had run-ins with the law.

Big freaking deal!

The victim, Andrew Hogan becomes another hashtag because his death should never of happened. I mean don't cops have non lethal restraints like Tasers and pepper spray?

A vigil for Andrew Hogan was held in Dayton.

And why the hell does Trotwood Police have no body cameras? 

I guess they're more concerned with trying to bilk thousands of Ohioans out of $135 for those freaking traffic cameras.

Well the family went to the NAACP and slammed the Trotwood Police. They said that the cops are fucking liars. 

The three cops weren't named as of yet but police chief Erik Wilson said that he will do a thorough investigation and hand the case over to the Ohio Bureau of Investigation.

"My heart and prayers goes out to [Hogan's] family," said Wilson. "This is troubling to [his officers] as well."

"The suspect male refused to follow orders and assaulted one of the officers on the scene. Additional attempts to gain compliance without success," Trotwood Police Sgt. Joseph McCrary.

The law used a Taser, pepper spray and a baton to try and get Hogan to comply.

Hogan broke free from the cops and headed towards an apartment complex nearby.

"While the officers waited for additional units to respond to make contact with the suspect, the suspect male exited the apartment with a knife in hand. The male suspect was fatally shot," McCrary said.

Since there was no body camera images of the shooting, it's the cops' word against the dead body.

Trotwood Police claim the man had a knife before they fired on him.

What gets me is that a cop was assaulted at the gas station. There was no mention of a knife in that encounter. But as they approach his home, they claim he came out with a knife. Did the victim lunged at the cops?

So shoplifting from a gas station is grounds for death!

The Hogan family reached out to the Dayton chapter of NAACP. His mother, Bernett said that the cops are not telling the truth.

"And I believe they already killed him. That's why you need body cameras to tell the truth."

The Dayton NAACP Chapter president Derrick Forward said he and the organization hopes Trotwood Police invest in body cameras to prevent these issues from happening.

As usual, we continue the "What Happened To.....?" series on Journal de La Reyna. I am very concerned that our lives are in grave danger. Just because we gotten past the past four years of a divisive president, doesn't mean we're out of the woods.

The impact is felt. We have a mission to make sure that the current president lives up to the promises he said he will do for the Black community.

No conservatives, you don't get to say Blue Lives Matter. 

You don't support police reform nor accountability. You support moving on. We're tired of moving on to the next tragedy. This shit needs to stop now. 

The Republican Party talks a mean game about being the "party of law & order" but in reality, they want to enforce law on the oppressed. 

Republicans cater to dirty cops, crooked politicians, crooked religious leaders, white nationalists, anti-government extremists, Karens and conspiracy nuts.

Every time a person of color is shot and killed by law enforcement, their names become hashtags and we continue to call for accountability and justice. Often we never get justice because of zealous prosecutors who are in the bed with the police.

The conservatives often want to bring up Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis and Detroit as their counterpoint to gun violence and the need for Black people to hold ourselves accountable. They often try to scapegoat Democrats to the nation's woes. 

Given that the Democratic Party is the party that put two people of color in higher office, the far-right will utilize this as a rally call to extremists. In turn we get more white nationalists like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, Lauren Boebart, Beth Van Duyne, Ron Johnson, Matt Gaetz, Tommy Tuberville, Marsha Blackburn, Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy and Louie Gohmert. 

The American people are so numb to this stuff. They won’t socially distance. They won’t wear facial masks. They don’t take the dangers of the coronavirus seriously.

As with gun violence, Congress will not do anything to stop it. Republican in the House and Senate as well as a handful of Democrats will continue to block legislation that stops the ongoing gun violence pandemic. They can’t even do anything.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.

A shoplifting complaint leads to a police shooting.

WHEN COPS SEE A BLACK MAN WITH A KNIFE, BAT AND A FIREARM REGARDLESS OF IT BEING LEGAL OR ILLEGAL, THEY AUTOMATICALLY SHOOT THE BLACK MAN. EVEN AN UNARMED BLACK MAN WHO IS MENTALLY ILL, JUST REACHING FOR A WALLET OR A DOOR HANDLE COULD BE KILLED BY THE COPS. NOW A BLACK MAN FLEEING AN ARRESTING OFFICER COULD BE KILLED. WHETHER THEY'RE IN THEIR VEHICLE OR RUNNING FROM THEM. THE COPS WILL SHOOT THE BLACK MAN.

THE POLICE AND JUNK FOOD MEDIA TRY TO MAKE THE VICTIM, "THE BAD GUY" BY BRINGING UP HIS PAST HISTORY, HIS SOCIAL MEDIA OR HIS FAMILY LIFE. 

MANY WHITES (IN LARGE GROUPS) HAVE FIREARMS IN FRONT OF POLICE AND THEY NEVER GET SHOT OR KILLED. WHY AREN'T THEY AFRAID OF THEM?

WHENEVER SOMEONE COMPLAINS ABOUT THE LACK OF BLACK FATHERS, I CONTINUE TO DENOUNCE THIS BULLSHIT. I OFTEN REMIND THEM THAT THE POLICE AND WHITE VIGILANTES KILL BLACK FATHERS. THE POLICE LEAVE CHILDREN OF COLOR WITHOUT A BLACK FATHER. AND NO AMOUNT OF MONEY COULD BRING THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY TO THE FAMILIES OF THOSE KILLED BY THE COPS OR RACISTS.

It never happens in your community.......! Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this was a peaceful protest. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. This is an embarrassing and disgraceful moment in American history.
