The honest opinion on Valentine's Day. |
BLACK LIVES MATTER
PROTECT BLACK WOMEN!
WEAR A DAMN MASK! SAVE A LIFE!
HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE NOW!
GOOGLE'S BLOGGER IS TRASH!
WHITE PRIVILEGE IS REAL!
YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!
I'm single. I've been single most of my grown life. I've never had serious relationships. In late 2016, I found out I had a surprise child. So many things that happened in my life and yet I keep moving forward with a sense of calm and closure.
Valentine's Day is a holiday most regard as the day for lovers. I know lot of people are spending up to $200 in stuff for their sweetheart.
In the age of COVID-19, we have seen a lot of loved ones pass away. We have over 500,000 Americans dead from the deadly disease. So you know I'm not concern too much about relationships right now.
I've only loved a few women in my time. I don't admit I love a person. I feel like I've put too much into a relationship only to be let down or hurt. So I stay numb saying love and relationships.
Romeo Rose, the lonely racist. |
I have dated a woman who went on an on about her previous encounter. That would be the first turn off for a person you're dating: "Never letting the past go." I've been there and done that. I dated a woman who was a gold digger. I was really in love with her and spent a lot of money dealing with her. She cheated and played games. She was a "ghetto" chick and I felt hurt and betrayed by her. I have been in love with a woman who I actually traveled to Iowa to see. She lived in Ohio for a few years before moving to the state. I went to Iowa to see her. Two weeks later, she broke it off. So I was hurt. I was hurt and went on and on about it.
She was upset that he left her at a casino and kept going on about how he did her wrong and the like. I had dated women who never came to a venue or stood me up. Thankful I do have a vehicle to go wherever I want.
I told her to get over it and move forward. It always seemed to keep coming up whenever I went out with her. She refused to wear a mask in public and questioned why businesses were enforcing the mask mandate. I bought her a phone because she rarely had a decent working phone. Well two months after I gave the phone, she lost it. She kept telling me over and over about me having a relationship with the mother of my son. I kept telling her that I am not involved with anyone. I am just focused on getting goals accomplished. I even told her she is free to date whomever she wants because I was not ready to settle.
It was a complete waste of time for me. So from this point, I just let things play out and not worry too much about what goes on!
I was so tired of wasting my time dating women who take advantage of me. I've called myself the dreaded "NICE GUY" who will end up always in the "FRIEND ZONE".
I feel like I'm in the "FRIEND ZONE" and may end up getting a "HIT IT AND QUIT IT" relationship.
I am just going to stay content for now. I mean even getting on social media looking for relationships is a waste of time for me.
The social media websites that attract singles, OKCupid, eHarmony, POF, Badoo, Tinder, Coffee Meets Bagel, Match.com, MeetMe and Christian Mingle see a spike around the week of Valentine's Day.
Well there's only one person I know who has the worst luck in relationships. Hopefully, he'll set aside his bigotry and utter stupidity to find the right relationship. His standards for women are really, really terrible. He is the infamous guy who wrote the blog, "Sleepless in Austin."
This guy became a viral sensation and a butt of ridicule. He did an interview in which he went on and said some vicious things about Black women, interracial relationship and women who are overweight.
Since then, he's been blackballed on social media and women often swipe to the left when his face shows up on their social dating websites.
What's Valentine's Day without that racist goofball Romeo Rose?
Now going by the name of David Cassanova, this white nationalist is grifting for love.

Reminder, this holiday is the perfect time for scammers. They often exploit the naΓ―ve and lonely for their money.

If you're still single but are either straight, gay, lesbian or bisexual, here's my honest take on what you can do if you're looking for that special someone. Don't rush into relationship. You want to know that person, day and night.
Get to know yourself before you get to know someone else. You have likes, dislikes, favorites and things you're interested in.
Please do not bring up politics or religion in your dates. Politics and religion are the ultimate turn offs to relationships. Some folks are content with who they're voting for or what religion they're practicing. Don't try to change a person's mind overnight.
Do not ever give any personal information or credit card numbers to anyone online or through the phone.
It's always important to understand that if you're meeting anyone online, make sure you tell family and friends where you're going, what place you're heading to, what time you're expected back home, offer friends and their dates to come along, make sure you or your date are not under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and call 9-1-1 if the date becomes dangerous. Reminder, if you're not comfortable with the situation, you can get out before it gets dangerous.
If you have any STDs or medical issues, please tell the person. In most states, if you deliberately spread HIV or any transmittable disease to an unsuspecting victim, you can be charged with a criminal act.

Sexual predators do look for love online. If you're starting to like the date and you want to "vet" that individual for criminal acts or possible sexual offender status, you can easily Google the name or check your local sheriff's office.
While the FBI and other federal partners work some of these cases—in particular those with a large number of victims or large dollar losses and/or those involving organized criminal groups—many are investigated by local and state authorities.
We strongly recommend, however, that if you think you’ve been victimized by a dating scam or any other online scam, file a complaint with our Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov).
Before forwarding the complaints to the appropriate agencies, IC3 collates and analyzes the data—looking for common threads that could link complaints together and help identify the culprits. This helps keep everyone safe.

Here are some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of an online dating scam.
Recognizing an Online Dating Scam Artist
Your online "date" may only be interested in your money if he or she:
- Presses you to leave the dating website you met through and to communicate using personal e-mail or instant messaging;
- Professes instant feelings of love;
- Sends you a photograph of himself or herself that looks like something from a glamour magazine;
- Claims to be from the U.S. and is traveling or working overseas;
- Makes plans to visit you but is then unable to do so because of a tragic event; or
- Asks for money for a variety of reasons (travel, medical emergencies, hotel bills, hospitals bills for child or other relative, visas or other official documents, losses from a financial setback or crime victimization).
One way to steer clear of these criminals all together is to stick to online dating websites with nationally known reputations.
Before I go, I want to let you know that President Joe Biden and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff celebrate Valentine's Day.
The president and first lady had placed heart shapes with the words, Unity, Family, Kindness, Compassion and Love.
Social dating websites have seen a spike in traffic on Valentine's Day. I am guessing that in-person dating could be out the question during the pandemic so we're resorting to Zoom dates.
