Conservatives are riled up over everything. From President Donald J. Trump losing his election to athletes taking a knee during sporting events, conservatives have expressed outrage at the world.

Now they’re worked up over Major League Baseball’s oldest club finally ending its controversial namesake. The Cleveland Indians will no longer use the namesake nor the mascot Chief Wahoo in the future.

The MLB franchise said that the decision came shortly after Washington, DC decided to end its namesake.

The Washington Football Team is currently looking for a permanent name but it dropped the Redskins. The Kansas City Chiefs have also ended themes in regards to Native American culture.

They are retiring the offensive Chief Wahoo.

The 2021 season will be the final year for the team to use the namesake.

It was like this for 105 years.

For years, the team was culturally offensive to Native Americans and First Nations.

The death of George Floyd has changed a whole lot of things. It made President-elect Joe Biden pick Kamala Harris as his running mate. It forced the removal of Confederate statues and naming of buildings, roads and parks. It forced the attention to transgender women of color being killed. His death changed the political landscape.

Had Trump had sympathy towards George Floyd and other people of color being killed by police and white vigilantes, he would have clinched enough support to carry him into a second term.

But alas, he will continue to dig his grave. After all, he’s dead to the world leaders.

What should be the new name for the Cleveland MLB club?
Cleveland Rockers
Cleveland Bulldogs
Cleveland Bases
Cleveland Dealers
Cleveland Emeralds
Cleveland Spiders
Other
Please Specify:

Trump got riled up over the decision.

Anyway, it’s about time for us to turn the page on racism.
