Dwayne Michael Carter, 38, known as Lil Wayne is facing a federal sandwich.
The entertainer is facing a list of federal charges involving him having a firearm on him
despite him being a convicted felon. He was charged in Florida by federal prosecutors for
traveling with a gold plated glock.
Documents filed in Miami federal court says the entertainer had the firearms and
ammunition on him back in December 2019 despite his acknowledgement he was a felon.
He was ordered to not have firearms on him at any time during his probationary period.
Authorities were tipped to the rapper’s private plane having narcotics and potential
intentions to distribute.
The feds searched his plane in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and found
that his plane had marijuana, cocaine, and codeine, a liquid that mixed with soft drinks
creates the purple syrup.

Tunechi’s attorney, Howard Srebnick, said in an email that there are legal questions
about whether mere possession of a weapon by a felon not judged to be dangerous
fits the definition of a crime.
“[Lil Wayne] is charged with possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage on a private
plane. There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it , used it or threatened
to use it,” Srebnick said.
"There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”
The entertainer is expected to be in court in December 2020. He will face up to 10 years for
the weapons under disability charge. He will likely be charged with distribution of illegal
narcotics as well which could add up to 20 years on the bill.
The charge stems from a weapons conviction in New York over 10 years ago which he
spent eight months in the iron college. Convicted felons are barred from owning
firearms under federal laws.
Lil Wayne also faced heat for his endorsement of President Donald J. Trump. He posed
with the president and embraced his “Platinum Plan.”
He almost broke up with his model Denise Bidot over the endorsement. The plus-size
model and Wayne have been long rumored to be in a relationship. It was confirmed
that they are an item.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, another supporter of Trump said that Wayne better call him now.
The entertainer is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Lil Wayne has taken a downfall. Ever since his fallout with Cash Money Records, Wayne
has struggled to keep his Young Money Entertainment running. Drake has rumored to
have left both labels.
Nicki MInaj is expected to leave both labels soon. The entertainer’s roster have idled or
left the label due to mismanagement from Wayne and former co-founder Bryan “Baby”
Williams known also as Birdman.
