Rapper/singer Ty Dolla $ign is compared to the late Nate Dogg.

The album was released on Friday and it was supposed to be titled Dream House, a conclusion to the Beach House mixtape series. He decided to change the name because he wanted to pay homage to those who had him as featured guest on his albums.

He said to Spin back in 2019, he wants to make sure people get that good shit.

“I wasn’t focused on, like, ‘Oh, let’s go make a fuckin’ generic-ass hit, you know, 97 BPMs-plus, get the club going…. I just want to give people some good music to listen to -- something that sounds different from everybody else’s shit.”

Another hit album for Ty Dolla $ign. The West is back.

Ty is like the new Nate Dogg.  What is known about Ty is the fact he gained national recognition for his feature on YG's debut single Toot It and Boot It. His hooks and songwriting caught the attention of Wiz Khalifa. The two have great working relationship. Ty signed on to Taylor Gang and is co-founder of PushaZ Ink (known as 4-Hundid), a label and culture founded by YG.

The West is the best!
