Donald J. Trump's brother Robert has been admitted to a New York hospital.

The 72-year old was admitted to the hospital after falling "very ill" sources tell ABC News.

Robert tried to sue his niece on behalf of Trump in order to stop her book from being published.

Robert Trump is the youngest brother. He is a business executive and real estate developer who managed the Trump Organization's real estate holdings outside Manhattan. He serves on the board of directors for ZeniMax Media. He is also the president of Trump Management, a company of which a trust fund benefiting Donald J. Trump owns 25% while the balance is owned by his family members.

He is an investor in SHiRT LLC, one of two owners of Virginia-based CertiPath. He also is married to Ann Marie Pallan.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany confirmed the hospitalization to ABC News, adding that the president and his brother "have a very good relationship" and that the president would be providing more details later.

Sources told ABC News the president is expected to visit his brother today, though final details were still being worked out.

In June, Robert Trump was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Mount Sinai hospital in New York for more than a week.

Robert Trump was most recently in the news after he led a lawsuit on behalf of the Trump family seeking to stop publication of a tell-all book by the president's niece, Mary, titled "Too Much and Never Enough".

The Trump family claimed Mary Trump's book was a violation of a nondisclosure agreement she signed in connection to a financial settlement she received from the family years prior.

Robert Trump said at the time of the suit earlier this year that he was "deeply disappointed" in his niece's decision to write such a book and that he and the "entire family" were "so proud of my wonderful brother, the president."
