Woman Who Called The Law On A Birdwatcher Gets Served!

The New York woman who called the law on a birdwatch faces criminal charges.
I am only going to mention her name once. After the public shaming and ridicule, the woman who called the law on a Black birdwatcher is now facing criminal charges for making a false call to 9-1-1.

Amy Cooper is going to be criminally charge for making a false police report.

She got into a heated confrontation with Christian Cooper, a Black birdwatcher who asked her to put a leash on her dog. The two are not related.

The woman is a white financier who called the New York Police Department on Cooper after he told her that having a dog off the leash is restricted around the bird sanctuary.
Christian Cooper has not accepted the apology from the woman who accused him of attacking her.
"Today our officer initiated a prosecution of the subject for falsely reporting an incident in the third degree," said Cyrus Vance, the Manhattan District Attorney who decided to push for criminal charges.

"We are strongly committed to holding perpetrators of this conduct accountable."

The woman was given a desk appearance ticket and will be arraigned in October.

If convicted, she could be given a conditional discharge or sentenced to community control or counseling rather than time in the iron college.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
