John Lewis: George Floyd Will Change The World!

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) stands on Black Lives Matter Plaza. He says those who protesting for police reform and civil rights are the real heroes.
Folks let's not allow leftists like (Jeffery) Shaun King dictate the message. He and many of these Bernie Bros are deliberately trying to sabotage the Democratic Party. They're upset that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) failed to capture the nomination. The leftists are trying to give Republicans talking points that could impact the election.

The "DEFUND THE POLICE"

Muriel Bowser and John Lewis stand in solidarity.
The legendary civil rights leader and lawmaker from Georgia fighting Stage IV cancer made an appearance at Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, DC, to show solidarity with those demanding justice for George Floyd and police reform for our nation's law agencies.

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) is a hero among Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).

He was a young man when he took to the streets protesting for equal rights and voting rights in the deep south. He was seriously injured, arrested and threatened with lynching during his protesting days.

A man who earned his stripes as a vocal activist comes back to the heart of turmoil and a global pandemic.

Lewis is fighting pancreatic cancer took to the streets to show unison with protesters this weekend.

With their arms crossed in solidarity with the historical movement, Lewis and Bowser took iconic photos on what is now named "Black Lives Matter Plaza." Bowser also shared the moment with her followers on Twitter posting, "We've walked this path before, and will continue marching on, hand in hand, elevating our voices, until justice and peace prevail," she said.

"Thank you for joining me at Black Lives Matter Plaza, in front of the White House."

Lewis still has a lot of impact in the African American community. He has been very critical of Donald J. Trump.

Trump had called Lewis a politician that's "all talk and no action."

"Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad," Trump said in 2017.

Joe Biden has pulled a strong support among Black voters. The support from Lewis and Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) helped Biden win the Democratic primaries in the South.

Biden called Lewis, "one of my heroes," praising the courage and sacrifice in the fight for civil rights, especially as a part of the Bloody Sunday marches in Selma, Alabama. The Bloody Sunday march happened in 1965 where civil rights leaders were attacked by the law as they crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge. The march across the bridge was a stand against the racism of the South. The Selma to Montgomery march was dangerous.
