The Squad Berns Bridges!

The Squad members are facing primary challengers due to their support of the Bernie Bros.
Three progressive lawmakers now face challengers from the left. They became vocal faces of the progressive movement. Now their support of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and tepid responses to stopping the Bernie Bros has got them in a quite a fix.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) are going to face primary challengers.

Along with Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), the ladies make up the squad. They were the surprise victors of the 2018 Democratic primaries. They have been very vocal over issues that face Americans. We love their voices but hate their passion.

Note: Pressley is the only lawmaker to not endorse Sanders for the primary.

But when it comes to the U.S. presidential election, they decided to go extremely partisan.

Tlaib and Omar are the most vocal critics of the status quo. Tlaib who is a Palestine-American and practicing Muslim represents Detroit. Omar is a Somali-American who is a practicing Muslim.

These ladies along with Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) are Sunni Muslims.

Tlaib was criticized last year for her campaign appearance for Sanders. She openly encouraged Sanders supporters to boo former 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. It was a huge mistake that now has her facing a primary challenge.

One in particular served in the Congress for 24 days to finish out John Conyers term. Former congresswoman and Detroit city council member Brenda Jones is going to challenge Tlaib again.

Jones won the special election but ended up losing the primary election. Jones served only a few weeks to oppose the The Jobs and Tax Cuts Act.

Jones is gearing for a rematch against Tlaib. She also tested positive for the coronavirus.

Ocasio-Cortez is the most vocal member of the Squad. Her surprise victory against Joe Crowley became the rally cry for the Justice Democrats, a far-left extremist group of progressives who vow to take on moderate Democrats in safe districts.

The lawmaker is facing five Democratic primary challengers and eight Republican challengers.

Some of the challengers are frustrated over Ocasio-Cortez's tepid support for Sanders. She has distanced herself from the campaign after he embraced the endorsement of Joe Rogan.

She also complained about Bernie Bros and the culture within his campaign.

Omar who is the most villianist member of the Squad is a survivor. She has faced intense scrutiny over her marriages, her stance against Israel and her support for women's rights.

Omar has four primary challengers and two Republican challengers. One challenger is a geeker. The other is an openly gay community organizer. One challenger is Antone Melton-Meaux, a Minneapolis attorney who is hoping to appeal to moderate members of the Democratic Party party frustrated with Omar's controversial stances.

He is likely going to be hard toughest opponent.

The Bernie Bros have turned off Democrats. They believe conspiracy theories about Joe Biden, the frontrunner in the race for the nomination. They have aggressively attacked Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Beto O'Rourke, Michael Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). All but Warren went on to back Biden over Sanders.

Warren didn't back Sanders. She was really angry over the Bernie Bros and their attacks on her.

The Squad has fizzled out. Since they decided to jump on the populist bandwagon and bashed members of the party, they lost respect.

Now they're begging for the Democratic "establishment" to back their bids for reelection.

I still support these women, but if they're still on this "BERNIE OR BUST" bullshit, it's time to primary them out. We can't have divisiveness within the party. With stakes so high and the COVID-19 spreading, it's not the time for Medicare for All, it's the time for Americans to get treatment now.

No legislation will stop this virus from spreading. So it's best to stop promoting something that's not going to happen overnight.
