Wisconsin Voters Picked Progressive Court Justice!

Wisconsin circuit court judge wins a seat on the state's supreme court.

Wisconsin will be "Ground Zero" for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. Donald J. Trump must hold onto this state in order to win the general election. If Biden does win this state along with Pennsylvania and Michigan, he will be the 46th President of the United States.

DONALD J. TRUMP HAS A 53% CHANCE OF WINNING REELECTION.

The outcome of having voters risk their lives to vote. Wisconsin picked a Democratic nominee and Republican nominee. Trump won the state and Biden won the state.

Biden beat former Democratic candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by double digits. The former vice president won 66% to Sanders 32%. That means Biden won every county.

Sanders won the state in 2016 in a surprise win against Hillary Clinton.

Now the state also had an opportunity to pick a justice for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

It wasn't the Trump-backed Republican incumbent. Daniel Kelly goes down hard. He loses to a progressive circuit court judge. Jill Karofsky, became the newest Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court beating Kelly in the general. She is a resident of Madison, Wisconsin and is a circuit court judge of Dane County.

Kelly was controversial figure. He supported then governor Scott Walker's redistricting, his union bashing law and supported eliminating affirmative action. He supported a lot of far-white causes and got backing from Trump.

The boys club judge is defeated.

Kelly tried to tie Karofsky to a case where a sexual predator got no jail time. Karofsky sued to have the ad pulled but failed at getting it off the air.

The culture war didn't help Kelly. What pretty much tanked Kelly's reelection bid was the decision to have voters out in the elements vote. With the COVID-19 pandemic, folks were forced to vote placing their lives in danger to  cast their ballot.

It was the ridiculous actions of the state courts and U.S. Supreme Court that sunk Kelly.

Now with a new justice sitting on the bench for 10 years, Republicans are going to sound the alarm.

They fear that Trump's handling of the coronavirus and economy will hurt their chances of holding the state in 2020.

Paul Ryan Jr. (aka Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI)) is vulnerable. His district is Likely Republican but is considered a target for Democrats. He was the former aide to Ryan.

Democrats are hoping to make a play for the district once represented Ryan, the former House Speaker and 2012 U.S. Vice Presidential Nominee.
