Kim Foxx Continues On!

Kim Foxx will face the Republican in the general election for Cook County prosecutor. The embattled Democratic prosecutor was being hammered over Jussie Smollett. The attacks were racially motivated.
There are nearly 1,000 victims of the coronavirus. The COVID-19 has over 69,000 confirmed cases.

Each state, territory, military base and federal office is affected with at least a person confirmed with the disease. Our government is still failing at getting this under control. We're entering another week where the Dow Jones Industrial Average and NASDAQ trade will experience another devastating week of losses. Companies are planning on declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy. We're approaching a recession.

Donald J. Trump is solely responsible for the impact of our country. He is responsible for disabling the infectious disease command center. He is responsible for rejecting the World Health Organization's recommendations. He is responsible for not taking the threat seriously. The disease is not his fault. However, the reaction to the disease is solely his faults.

Last Tuesday the state of Illinois had their primaries. The Democratic primaries happened and former Vice President Joe Biden blew his opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) out the water. The state went to Biden by a large margin. The primaries in Illinois, Florida and Arizona went to Biden and it took the steam out of Sanders.

Sanders vows to continue on despite his path to the nomination being eliminated. I said in earlier postings, that I am getting tired of Sanders and his supporters. They are once again trying to fuck up the Democratic Party's opportunity to get this idiot Donald J. Trump out of office.

We're in a pandemic and Sanders wants states to delay primaries so he can muster enough time to rebound.

Folks are getting tired of his shenanigans and his supporters.

It seems like Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx managed to eek out a win despite her involvement in the Jussie Smollett controversy.

Last year, Smollett allegedly lied about an encounter in Chicago. He claimed he was assaulted by two individuals who wore MAGA hats and shouted racial slurs at him. It turns out two personal trainers were paid by Smollett to assault him. He is currently facing criminal charges for filing a false report and fraud.

The primary challenger Bill Conway was hoping to beat Foxx. He failed to beat her.
Smollett was criminally charged again for falsifying a police report.
"There was an effort to make this election about one big case involving a celebrity," Foxx said. "The voters have overwhelmingly put that fallacy to rest."

The office's decision to drop the charges were controversial. Folks on the far-white believed Foxx colluded with Smollett in the actions. Donald J. Trump decided to step into the matter by attacking Foxx for allowing Smollett to walk free.

Mind you, he was impeached by the House of Representatives but acquitted by the Senate for trying to pressure Ukraine into investigating Joe Biden. He walked too.

A special prosecutor reissued the charges. Foxx said the decision to reissue the charges were political.

Foxx's challengers in the primary urged her to resign. "This race is not about one case," Foxx pleaded during a Democratic candidates' debate. She begged voters to consider her broader record, such as the time her office secured a conviction against a police officer who shot an unarmed Black teen 16 times. And she questioned the "James Comey-like timing" of Smollett’s new charges, a reference to the former FBI director's decision to reopen an investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails before the 2016 presidential election.
Smollett dismisses the charges as a publicity stunt.
Foxx has a impressive criminal justice record. Foxx is one of 45 women of color among the nearly 2,400 elected prosecutors in the United States.

She is the first African American woman to be elected as Cook County Prosecutor. She ran on a platform of making sure that she will hold dirty cops accountable. She said that minor drug offenses will not be netting a lengthy bid in the iron college. She will protect victims of sexual abuse. She will hold Donald J. Trump and his allies accountable.

Foxx is a serious prosecutor.

Foxx is also involved with the case against the former R&B singer who is being charged with sexual misconduct, child pornagraphy, criminal tools in the use of intent of raping a minor and falsifying evidence. The R&B singer who was a Grammy-award winning entertainer is facing a federal sandwich. He could face life in the iron college/ federal time out if convicted.

Smollett could face at least 10 years in the iron college if convicted.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
