Lexii Alijai passed away.

Another person in the news passed away this year. We're starting the decade with trendsetters passing away. She was a social media influencer who won over support for her rapping skills. Now she has passed away.

At age 21, rising rap act Lexii Alijai has passed away from unknown causes.

Fans of the up-and-coming entertainer were left devastated when the news broke over social media.

Known as Alexis Alijai Lynch, she died on Wednesday. She was the granddaughter of music legend and gun violence victim Roger Troutman. Troutman was best known

Singer Kehlani, who featured Lexii on her song, "Jealous," reacted like most people on  social media.

She was shocked and saddened to hear the young talent died.

Lexii was from St. Paul, Minnesota and was featured on songs with Drake, Meek Mill, Nas and others.

Her cousin Raeisah Khan confirmed the news on social media. "[You're] a real Legend. If you know her or heard her music, you'd feel chills. Rest in paradise you'll never be forgotten!!"

Lexii released her first full length album titled, "Growing Pains" in September 2017.
