937/326!

Dayton metro area will have an overlay area code. The 937 area code will continue but anyone who makes phone calls on new phones will get the 326 area code.
You may have to dial the 10-digits when you want to call a friend. Starting in March 2020 folks living in west central Ohio will have two area codes. The current area code 937 is running out of numbers. So now, the state was issued another area code to compensate for the overwhelming number usage.

An overlay is the addition of another area code to the same geographic area as an existing area code. In Ohio, the 326 area code is being added to the area served by the 937 area code to ensure a continuing supply of phone numbers.

Places like Dayton, Springfield, Marysville, Bellefontaine, Hillsboro, Troy, Eaton, Xenia, Wilmington, Ripley, West Union, Washington Courthouse and Wapakonata will now have two area codes.

I reside in Dayton, Ohio. I am not proud of this though.

Our community suffered through a lot last year and will continue to do so under Republicans like Gov. Mike DeWine, Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), Mike Pence and Donald J. Trump.

The Republican Party has forgotten about us. They play identity and gotcha politics.

They relish on the ignorant and misinformed. They shun educated adults and children.

They don't support human decency, dignity and compassion. They often think war is a sign of strength and peace a a sign of weakness.

They want celebrities, people in the news and anyone critical of Trump to shut the fuck up.

They praise celebrities, people in the news and anyone supportive of Trump with open arms and appearances on Fox News or Newsmax TV.

They line up Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ and non-white agitators to denounce civil rights and human rights.

They continue be the party of stupid. Yet, they're the best in marketing and promotions. They have a cable network devoted to promoting propaganda devoted to helping Republican get elected.

Dayton, Ohio will likely vote for Trump despite the community still reeling over a tornado, a Dayton police officer being killed and a mass shooting in the Oregon District.
