Enjoy It!

While you're enjoying time with your family and friends, we here at Journal de la Reyna wish you a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

The presents are being opened.

The NBA has games on.

There's a marathon of A Christmas Story being played on TNT and TBS.

You might want to catch up on some time getting the tree and lights taken down in some parts of the country. The weather in the Dayton area is nearly 60 degrees. It's wild.

Climate change is real folks.

Anyway, while we finish out the year, I will do the Yearly Wrap Up. It will be shorter this time but it will manage to cover all the year and decade in a whole.

As we gear up for 2020, we start off by saying that the decade is coming to close. The 2010s were hectic to say at least. I am looking forward to a much better decade than this one.

Not all folks in the country spend their holidays off.

First responders: Police, Firefighters, EMS, doctors, nurses and hospital employees.
Commercial train and freight train operators.
Commercial bus, local bus, subway, light rail transit, taxi, Uber and Lyft.
Security companies.
Airports, airline pilots and sewarts.
Toll operators
Hotel and motel workers.
Gas station attendants.
Waffle House employees
Denny's employees
Some Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid employees.
Some who work in restaurants.
Your local power company providers.
Casino and hospitality employees.
Military officials and soldiers.
Suicide and crisis workers.
Your local news and national news providers.
Your local radio and emergency alert providers.
The President of the United States.

Yes, even Donald J. Trump is working. Even though, he's at Mar-a-Largo, he still is getting daily briefings, monitoring of issues abroad and contacting Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) by phone on the issues. Despite their gutter sniping and attacks on one another.

Enjoy this holiday and hope the best for those who don't get an opportunity to enjoy it.

You notice in this video, Melania Trump says, "The President and I....." See if this was Michelle and Barack Obama, they would say, "Me and Barack" or "Me and Michelle."

Who knows?
