Former Texas cop goes to the iron college for 10 years.

The former Dallas cop who shot and killed Botham Jean was convicted of murder. Texas state law for murder is 5 to LIFE. It seems like the jury decide on the fate of this woman.

The family of Jean even felt a few tears rolling down their faces. When the dirty cop entered Jean's home, she shot him in the chest. She didn't render aid. She didn't care about his life. She was more concerned about her job and future.

The jury decided that she should spend a dime of her life in the iron college. That's equivalent to involuntary manslaughter.

Botham Shem Jean's death is vindicated.

The former cop's conviction means that she loses her pension. She will no longer work as a police officer ever again. She will have to pay back the costs of funeral expenses and find comfort that she didn't get LIFE.

Prosecutors had urged the jury to give a punishment of no less than 28 years, while the dirty cop's defense attorneys wanted to show leniency.

A moment of comfort is the fact that one of Jean's brothers came over to hug the dirty cop while she was sobbing. That was a sign of forgiveness.

The dirty cop's mother and sister as well as a former drug addict came to her defense.

The prosecutors had exposed some of her social media presence. In her now deleted Facebook, she shared some offensive and racist postings. In a text message, a cop shared a  meme with her about a racist dog.

Some of the most embarrassing things were shared. Her admitted affair with a dirty cop who was married with children. Her family posting Trump-themed memes.

Botham Jean's brother hugs the former cop as she is now an intern of the Texas penal system.

The dirty cop can file for an appeal. It is risky though. If she gets convicted again, the time could be longer.

Justice was served for Botham Jean. He didn't deserve to die.

The dirty cop wasn't concerned about his life. Even though, she puts on the tears and apologies, her actions shows reckless contempt for human life. She had a Taser and pepper spray. She choose to use deadly force.

She shoots a man inside his own apartment. Had she gotten a trial in a Republican-friendly county, she would have walked.
