They Will Kill For That Popeyes Chicken Sandwich!

Popeyes rolling out a chicken sandwich and folks gone crazy over it.

American fast food company doing damage control after a disastrous roll out of a product.

A customer pulled a firearm on employees at a local Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant in Houston, Texas.

Angry customers pulled a gun on the manager of a Popeyes when they were told they were out of chicken sandwiches, investigators said on Monday. It was the latest incident stemming from the widely popular chicken sandwich the company rolled out in late July.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.

The item has skyrocketed profits at many locations. Folks were sharing this shit on social media and it got the ball rolling. It also launched the "Great Chicken Sandwich War" with Chick-fil-A.

Houston Metro Police were called to the restaurant around 9pm on Monday after reports of a disturbance with a weapon, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The group of males and females had tried ordering the popular chicken sandwich in the drive-thru when they were told it was unavailable.

Then they tried to get inside the restaurant, but a worker was able to lock them out.

"When the manager told them they were out, one of the males became upset and pulled a pistol and demanded a chicken sandwich," said Houston Metro Lt. Larry Crawson. "The manager again informed them they were officially out of sandwiches."

The group would eventually leave the facility and proceed to flee. The law is determining whether charges are going to be filed against the group.

People are actually attacking one another over a fast food product.

The person who pulled out a firearm could be charged with inducing panic and terrorist threats.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A man is suing Popeyes for false advertising. He traveled to area locations only to be turned away because the company sold out of the sandwich. He demands $5,000 in putative damages for his vehicle and time lost.

The sandwich was pulled off the menu in early September. The company has promised to bring back the sandwich permanently. However, the damage was done. Folks are calling the decision a PR disaster.

Workers also are angry that Popeyes left them hanging. Workers had to stay constantly busy with preparing sandwiches and other items. Workers and managers had to endure the wrath of angry customers who missed their opportunity to try a sandwich. Some workers had to stay over their normal times to accommodate the demand.

There were fights inside locations.

There are folks who are selling the sandwich online for hefty sums.

Mind you we're in the age of Donald J. Trump. The actions of Black folks and chicken restaurants are a theme of white extremists.

There are websites that devote their whole topics on that. I won't promote these websites nor acknowledge the people involved in them.

However, this is how bad our country's gotten under Trump.

We're literally killing people over a damn sandwich.

Many fads had gotten people killed.
