Disney Reboots The Proud Family!

Disney is reviving The Proud Family for its streaming service. 
The animated sitcom featuring an African American family's adventures is returning after 15 years off the air.

The Proud Family followed the series protagonist Penny Proud and her family through the trials and tribulations of Black culture. It was on The Disney Channel for two seasons and spread out through four years.

The series creator Bruce W. Smith confirms that new episodes are coming to Disney+ (A merger of ABC studios, Disney, Hulu (co-sponsor) and 20th Century Fox).

The streaming service will launch a new set of episodes and feature the returning cast.
The Proud Family is a popular African American animated sitcom.
Comedian and actor Tommy Davidson will return as the patriarch Oscar Proud. Kyla Pratt, voiced Penny. Jo Marie Payton, voiced Suga Mama. Paula Jai Parker, voiced Trudy. Veteran voice actress Tara Strong voices Bebe and CeCe Proud.

The series will also mark the return African American themed animated sitcoms.
The Proud Family grown up. Bebe, Trudy, Oscar, Penny, Suga Mama, Puff the Dog and Cece.
The Boondocks which ended at season four is slated for a fifth season with Aaron McGruder returning to full control. He left the series midway through its third season because of Cartoon Network wanting him to tone down controversial issues themed around Barack Obama and Donald J. Trump.
