Russi Taylor Passed Away!

Russi Taylor, the voice of Minnie Mouse passed away.
The entertainment industry lost a legendary voice actress. Russi Taylor who is best known for playing Minnie Mouse has passed away. The actress lost her life at the age of 75.

Taylor is best known for playing well-known Disney characters. She is also known for playing Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby Vanderqauck in the 1987 version of DuckTales.

She played Baby Gonzo in the 1984 version of Jim Henson's Muppet Babies.

What's going to hurt the most is the voice role she had on The Simpsons. She played effeminate nerd Martin Prince, twin sisters Sherri and Terri and foreign exchange student Uter.

Her late husband was Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse.

Disney's CEO Bob Iger issued a statement.
Russi Taylor voiced many well-known characters in animation. The best known were Minnie Mouse and Martin from The Simpsons.
"Minnie Mouse lost her voice with the passing of Russi Taylor. For more than 30 years, Minnie and Russi worked together to entertain millions around the world ---- a partnership that made Minnie a global icon and Russi a Disney Legend beloved by fans everywhere."

"We're so grateful for Russi's talents as well as the tremendous spirit and great joy she brought to everything she did. It's was a privilege to have known her an an honor to have worked with her, and we take comfort in the knowledge that her work will continue to entertain and inspire for generations to come."

Born in Massachusetts, Russi became the official voice of Minnie Mouse in 1986 and carried it for over 30 years. She beat out over 200 competitors.

Bill Farmer, who voiced Goofy alongside Taylor said in a statement that she was "as wonderful, funny, and sweet as Minnie Mouse, and as talented yet humble as you would expect."
