Martha Roby Out!

Pumpkin head lawmaker Martha Roby reitres. The long-term Republican from Alabama leaves a seat up for grabs.
Alabama Republican is leaving the U.S. House.

Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL) who represents Montgomery and Dothan in the 2nd Congressional District is leaving the House after this session.

This is the second House GOP woman to announce she will not seek another term.

While this district is a safe Republican hold, the party itself is losing on the diversity. The party is mostly dominated by white males and it has struggled to appeal to women and people of color.

Only 13 Republican women represent the House of Representatives. That's of 197 members.

Only 89 Democrats are women. That's of the 235 members of the Democratic Party. That's almost about 38% of the party.

She joins Rep. Susan Brooks (R-IN) as the second woman in the party to retire.

This week six-term Republican Rep. Pete Olson of Texas announced his retirement. He too will not seek re-election.

And two-term Republican Rep. Paul Mitchell of Michigan this week also announced he’s quitting the House, citing the pervasive “rhetoric and vitriol” in Congress.

Roby defended that fool, Roy Moore. That fool who was accused of molesting women when he was a local leader in Gasdsen is declaring his intentions to rematch Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL).

Roby also was notorious for badgering Hillary Clinton during her 11 hour testimony in the Benghazi "scandal." The very same Republicans like Roby who wasted time on Benghazi will not bother looking into Russia's influence in the 2016 and 2020 election.

Here's an idea, why don't Republicans get Roy Moore to run for the House?

I mean the party might as well have him. They've accepted Donald J. Trump, Brett Kavanaugh and Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA).
