Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers won't bring back the dead or heal the wounded. This is meaningless platitudes and deflection. We need to change direction on gun violence. Aren't you getting tired of gun violence?

As we bury the dead, a massacre occurs.

One man was killed and two other people were hurt on Friday outside New Holy Trinity Baptist Church.

An argument erupted between family and other members who were there in attendance. This dispute ended up being a riot and thus bunch of knuckle style chili was served. One didn't like the flavor decided to pull out a burner and decided to put an end to others.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, California State Highway Patrol, the FBI and Compton Police are trying to determine who was the shooter.

During the service, as her grandmother was eulogizing, a man suddenly stood up and began yelling and cussing. Witness say the dispute spilled out into the back parking lot, where the knuckle style chili was being served from all angles. Someone pulls the burner and starts emptying.

Three men were hit.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says one man was killed and two were hospitalized in stable condition.

Two drivers caused an accident as they were trying to avoid gunfire.

Another tragic day in the United States.

Expect the usual word vomit from Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA). They'll offer thoughts and prayers and condolences. They won't move the ball forward on gun control reforms.

Enough is enough.

Most mass shooters in recent time are not Black or Brown people. They're not Muslim. They're not immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras or the Dominican Republic.

They are white men and they're Republican. They are men who are rejected by women, the workforce, society in general. They are the folks that create a danger to everyone.

This mass shooting was done by a person of color. The right often uses this a scapegoat for "tough on crime" legislation.

Many on the left are going to go after now presidential candidate Kamala Harris for her role as a prosecutor. She was a no-nonsense prosecutor. She sent a lot of people of color to the iron college. That might be an issue.

No mental health screening or stricter background checks allow this reign of blood to continue.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.
