Broken Harts!

Kevin Hart declines the Oscars
Chocolate Droppa isn't Oscar ready.

Comedian Kevin Hart announced he wasn't interested in hosting the Academy Awards after he faced a backlash for his nearly decades old tweets going at the LGBTQ community.

Now the difficult task is to find someone who will replace him. Mind you, whomever they pick, it's going to be controversial. For one thing, not too many comedians want to host the Oscars.

Hart who is one of the most funniest entertainers in the country.

At first, he was happy to host but after gay rights group unearthed his previous tweets and his comedy acts, he said that he's not going to be a distraction to the Oscars.

He was pretty annoyed that people got upset over his tweets of the past. He said that he's evolved over time and is willing to work with people who are LGBTQ.

Transgender activist Charlotte Clymer put him out to dry with his tweets.

But since we live in a society where one's remarks are now held to a standard, it's apparent that he's going to be shamed out of the business.

At first he said that he's already apologized for his past and wanted to move forward.

I assume they're going to go after Joy Reid again.

On December 4, 2018, Hart was announced as the host of the 91st Academy Awards, but on December 6 he stepped down as host in response to public criticism of several anti-gay tweets that he posted in 2010 and 2011.

Further criticism erupted over Hart's Twitter response not including an apology to the LGBTQ community, leading Hart to issue one the next day.

After saying that he has apologized before and has grown from the person he once was, Hart said, "The same energy that went into finding those old tweets could be the same energy put into finding the responses to the questions that have been asked – years after years after years. If you feed the internet trolls, you reward them. I am not going to do it, I am going to be me and I am going to stand my ground."

It kind of sucks. Now is everyone under a microscope whenever they tweet, write or joke about a protected class?

Yeah, Hart messed up. But he's not writing laws or pushing an agenda against LGBTQ individuals.

Think about it!

The U.S. Supreme Court has a 5-4 conservative swing. If a religious bigot decides to file a motion to declare gay marriage illegal in the United States, the Court could favor it.

Republicans want to eliminate protections for LGBTQ individuals in the workplace.

Kevin Hart isn't a lawmaker nor a policy wonk. He's a comedian. He tells jokes. Yeah, he said some offensive shit. But that's what comedians do.

The #MeToo Movement has brought down people. It also has brought down people who have good intentions as well.
