Ohio Republican Jim Jordan of the Freedom Caucus is embroiled in a big scandal. |
This is huge. The do nothing Freedom Caucus could implode because of a lawmaker's past coming back to haunt him.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is facing a sex scandal. As an assistant coach to men's wrestling, he was accused of covering up a doctor's sexual abuse.
"It’s not true," Jordan said. "I never knew about any type of abuse. If I did, I would have done something about it. And look, if there are people who are abused, then that’s terrible and we want justice to happen."
In the NBC report, three former wrestlers who trained under Jordan — including two who were named in the story — accused Jordan of ignoring sexual abuse. They argued that it was common knowledge that the college physician, Richard Strauss, would regularly shower with the students and touch them inappropriately during examinations.
Strauss went out like a punk when the feds were investigating him. Now accountability and the truth.
Some say that Jordan shrugged it off.
Two men came forth. Dunyasha Yetts and Mike DiSabato claimed the allegations. They said both said that the molestation ruined their lives.
Jordan, the founder of the do nothing House Freedom Caucus and potential frontrunner for House leadership was taken aback by the allegations.
Jordan said he would have done something if the wrestlers complained. They did and he did nothing.
The Ohio Republican Party is nervous. They hope this scandal doesn't sink their chances from holding control. Jordan is staunch supporter of Donald J. Trump and has been adamant about pushing forth kookspiracies about the FBI and Hillary Clinton.
Jordan believe that it was a political hit job. The usual song and dance from defenders of conservatives. Jordan and Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) are considered the least productive and most polarizing members of the Republican majority.
They going to blame Rod Rosenstein, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok for Jordan being caught up in scandal. Matter of fact, they are going to blame the Democrats and the junk food media as well.
They often find scapegoats whenever a scandal engulfs the Republican Party.
