Mitt Romney wants a win. |
The Democrats blame majority leader, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for the decision. Back in 2016, McConnell literally denied Barack Obama his third Supreme Court nominee. It set the precedent. The partisan divide will be even deeper now. The party in power can deny a current or future president a nominee to the Court.
Former presidential nominee Mitt Romney wins the Republican nomination for the open seat being vacated by Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT).
Romney, a perennial loser was a former governor of Massachusetts. He is an opportunist. He is a carpetbagger. He is an inconsistent politician. He is the clear favorite in this race. Hopefully, Jenny Wilson, the Democratic candidate can shock the country by defeating this worthless pile of stupid.
Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) loses to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a newcomer who won backing of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). |
Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) was defeated in a brutal primary. His opponent is a 28 year old woman who got the blessing of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent the 20 year politician to the showers.
Many Republicans are hoping the upcoming Court decisions will rollback many progressive rulings.
Democrats hope that long term lawmakers get the messsage. They have nearly handed primary defeats to Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL) and Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY).
