Disgraced lawmaker Corrine Brown heads to federal time out.

Former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown is now heading to federal time out for corruption. The former Florida congresswoman was convicted last year for tax fraud, accepting bribes and using a phony charity to bilk donors.

She was spending the loot on her personal expenses.

The former Democratic lawmaker, her former chief of staff Ronnie Simmons both got a nickel in federal time out. The crooked charity founder Carla Wiley got a 21 months in federal time out.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan said that Brown was only look I g for the green and she abused the public's trust to do her job.

Brown, who served the 5th Congressional District held on the Jacksonville metro area. She was the first African American to be elected since the Reconstruction.

Brown was defeated in the Democratic primary by former Florida State senator Al Lawson.

Brown must head got the federal time out this week.
