The two finally face off at the ballot box.

As of 8:00 (EST) the polls have closed. Now we wait for the results.

Exit polls say that Black turnout is good. The signs are positive for the Democrats. The Associated Press calls it.

AP calls it for The Democrat.

Right now, we have it neck and neck with the Republican up in a small lead.

Donald J. Trump is very unpopular nationwide. But in Alabama, he is a rock star. We will see if his endorsement helps or hurts.

Regardless of the results, our nation will be more divided than ever.

The Alabama Senate race will come to an end. The winner will be Senator-elect and the person who wins will finish the term left by Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III and Luther Strange.

So what happens?

A Doug Jones win could shake the balance of power in the Midterms. It will be a Democratic Party success. To pick off a state that is deeply Republican and conservative. Democrats will have a war chest able to pick off Republicans in states who maybe in trouble in swing states.

A Jones win will automatically make him a top tier for U.S. President.

A Roy Moore win will keep the Republican majority in tact. The party will have a fresh vote. This will be a big deal to get Trump's agenda passed.

However, Moore will have a potential ethics investigation coming. He will immediately be tagged to the Republicans.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) plays another bitch move.

He says whoever wins the race will be seated after the Winter recess.

McConnell pulled this shit in February 2016 when Antonin Scalia passed away.

The inept senator said that if Hillary Clinton won, they could hold up appointing a Supreme Court nominee for years. Now that Trump won, McConnell stripped the filibuster rule and now had a simple majority to confirm nominees.
