We Haven't Forgot The Pulse Nightclub Massacre!

Worst mass shooting in American history happened a year ago.

We haven't forgotten.

Today, I show love to our Latino, Muslim and LGBTQ friends.

We mark a year. A year marked in infamy. A man with no political experience and chronic foot in the mouth disease became our leader. He and many Republicans exploited a tragedy to gain a victory.

A terrible incident that inspired me to more supportive of groups that are shunned in the same fashion as Black men and women. As a gun owner, progressive thinker, father and proud supporter of the LGBT community, I was saddened by the tragic mass shooting that happened Sunday June 12th, 2016.

A year ago, this terrorist named Omar Mateen went into a local Orlando club and massacred 49 people before the law stopped him. This terrorist would become the worst mass shooter in American history. His acts were inspired by the Islamic State, a foreign terrorist organization who recruits individuals from other countries to attack for them.

This attack was upon the Pulse Nightclub, a gay bar and entertainment center in Orlando.

Pulse Nightclub has been closed indefinitely.

The incident was a rally call for Republicans. They used this terrorist attack to exploit American fears of Muslims, LGBTQ Americans, and then President Barack Obama coming for the guns.

Today marks a moment in solidarity.

This is the Pride week for many LGBTQ Americans. They celebrate the announcement of equality. Since the 2015 Supreme Court decision striking down anti-gay marriage laws, Americans are slowly accepting marriage equality. This terrorist attack will symbolize the strives the LGBTQ community face.

If you're straight, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, pansexual, or non-sexual, you should be proud to be who you are.

Regardless of your religion or non-religion, we have to celebrate diversity. We are not shunned on our values. Despite what those say, be happy and be human.

WE HAVEN'T CHANGED SINCE ORLANDO AND SANDY HOOK.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES. OUR INEPT LEADERS CONTINUE TO ALLOW THESE TRAGEDIES TO HAPPEN IN THE UNITED STATES.
