What Happened To Jordan Edwards?

Jordan Edwards was shot and killed by Belch Springs cops. He was shot in the head. He wasn't the driver. He was the passenger. He was unarmed and he was just leaving a party.

The police continue to shoot and kill unarmed people of color. And in the age of Donald J. Trump with his controversial attorney general Jefferson Beauregard Sessions are "pro-police" and "law and order."

The city of Balch Springs, Texas is preparing for protests after the fatal shooting of a 15-year old boy.

According to the law, officers responded to a report of intoxicated teens at a residential home.

Neighbors (i.e. White people) complained about a large house party down the road.

Police say that the officers arrived on the street and they heard gunfire and a car filled with passengers back towards them.

The law claims that an unknown altercation with the vehicle backing down the road towards the officers in an aggressive matter (i.e. fleeing and eluding). An officer shot at the vehicle, striking the front seat passenger (i.e. the right side of the door).

Jordan was struck by the gunfire and died on route to the hospital.

The name of the officer, years of service and disciplinary reports weren't released to the junk food media yet. But rest assured, conservatives and White extremists are looking through social media to find something incriminating about Jordan.

The family, his friends and community leaders were none too happy about the police blaming Jordan for the officer's call to use deadly force.

"Great kid. Awesome parents. He was not a thug. This shouldn't happen to him," said Chris Cano, a father who own son knew the victim.

Mesquite ISD released a statement about the shooting.

"Mesquite ISD's deepest sympathies and prayers are with the family and friends of this young man who tragically lost his life late Saturday evening. He was a good student who was very well liked by his teachers, coaches and fellow students. The entire district -- especially the staff and students of Mesquite High School -- are mourning this terrible lost."

Dallas County Sheriff's Department is now looking into the situation. The Balch Springs police chief Jonathan Haber said that he met with the family and civil rights leaders to express condolences.

The officer is preparing to lawyer up. He could face involuntary manslaughter if the officer lied about his encounter. The police union, Sessions, the so-called ALL LIVES MATTER group are ready at the whim to discredit the victim, blame the victim and say that police should not do their jobs when a crime occurs in a Black neighborhood.

The keyboard trolls will blame Obama, call talk radio, became a focus of cable news and social media until it fades. Then when the next encounter occurs it will be a cop being shot and the whole cycle of blame starts once again.

For every bad cop, there is going to be a dead cop.

For every mass shooting, there's going to be more prayers and condolences instead of legislation to prevent these military style weapons to be obtained by military ready wannabes.

Trump doesn't care about the victims of gun violence. He sits from a perch blaming everyone for the actions of one. He can't figure out whether to support the First Amendment or the Second Amendment. He can't do nothing but preach stupidity and bigotry under guise of patriotism.

A teen loses his life after leaving a party. Jordan Edwards loses his life to an untrained, unprincipled and unapologetic police officer.
