ESPN Shaving The Seats!

ESPN is laying off 100 sports figures you've seen on the channel.
Disney/ABC Television Group is the parent company of ESPN. The 24/7 sports and entertainment channel is going to phase out 100 postitions. Some of thos familiar names are on the chopping block.

Many of the most familar names you watched on the network might br gone by the end of the week.

I guess this decision is mostly about the cable fees and the subscribers decisions to drop the cord. ESPN carries a whole lot of licensing fees to cover NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, NHL, NCAA, Premiere Boxing, motorcross, boating, the Little League baseball, English Premier league soccer, and NASCAR.

ESPN president John Skipper said the decision was tough but essential to keep the network running.

I guess this is another one of those "Make America Great Again" memes.

We are on the verge of a retail industry crash. Even the cable networks are suffering.
