Miami-Jacobs Career College Leaves Dayton!

Before the sign was removed. Miami Jacobs Career College, a for-profit institution shuts down in the Dayton market.

A staple of Dayton, Ohio is about to close up shop. Miami Jacobs Career College is closing at the end of this year. It's going to put students in vine and staff out of jobs.

Miami Jacobs has operated out of the community for over 100 years.

The private college will no longer accept new students at its Dayton, Springboro, Troy and Sharonville campuses, remaining open there only to allow current students to finish their programs, said John Ware, executive director of State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

The Columbus campus will remain open for the time being.

Many students who enrolled in the college can't transfer their time credits into Wright State University, Sinclair College and the University of Dayton.

Not sure if American National College and Brightwood will accept enrollees.

The school offers degrees in nursing, cosmetology, healthcare, accounting, criminal justice, and graphic design.
