Al Sharpton Signs To Cash Money Records!

Controversial civil rights activist is joining Cash Money Records for book deal.

The controversial liberal agitator and civil rights activist is joining hip-hop label for the publishing of his book.

Al Sharpton, the MSNBC host and the founder of the National Action Network has officially join the ranks of entertainers Lil' Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Busta Rhymes.

Sharpton entered a deal in which Cash Money Records will publish his book The Rejected Stone.

The Southern-based hip-hop label has expanded into rock, movie production and now book publishing.

Cash Money Records signed on some veteran acts and some unusual talents to the roster.

The label had signed on rock group Limp Bizkit, celebrity agitator/hotel heiress Paris Hilton, Mystikal, a former No Limit Records artist who was sent to the iron college after being convicted of rape, and Bow Wow, a former So So Def artist who rose to fame on his preteen album releases.

Sharpton told The Associated Press on Thursday that the book, titled The Reject Stone, would include his thoughts on Lil Wayne and other rappers and that he was anxious to have a positive dialogue.

Ironically, Lil' Wayne and Sharpton have had disagreements over the years including one over the use of the b-word and n-word in the rap lyrics. Weezy would later refer to Rev. Sharpton as Don King with a perm.

The Reject Stone is due out on October 8 and will track Sharpton’s progress from “personal evolution” to New York street activist to political candidate, civil rights spokesman and television host.

Lil' Wayne appears on Cash Money Records. He is affiliated with Young Money Entertainment.

Drake appears on Cash Money Records. He is affiliated with Young Money Entertainment and October's Very Own Records.


Bryan "Birdman" Williams appears on Cash Money Records.

Nicki Minaj appears on Cash Money Records. She is affiliated with Young Money Entertainment.
