BREAKING: Teen Idol Annette Funicello Passes Away!

I just watched Bikini Beach movies on ThisTV yesterday afternoon.

And breaking today, the former Disney Mouseketeer and teen idol Annette Funicello has died at age 70.

Beginning her professional career as a child performer at the age of twelve, Funicello rose to prominence as one of the most popular "Mouseketeers" on the original Mickey Mouse Club. As a teenager, she transitioned to a successful career as a singer with the pop singles "Tall Paul" and "Pineapple Princess", as well as establishing herself as a film actress, popularizing the successful "Beach Party" genre alongside co-star Frankie Avalon during the mid-1960s. The blog "Extra" reported that Annette Funicello died of complications of multiple sclerosis on April 8, 2013.

She was an icon of the 1960s. She and Frankie Avalon were the teen beach goers who made Summers at the beach a fun and entertaining experience.

Since the 1990s, she had not done much in appearances due to multiple sclerosis. It left her in a wheelchair.

This is a developing.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Annette Funicello.
