Barack Obama Punch Out!

Controversy ensues at the fair. Indiana Republicans are under fire for an offensive depiction of President Barack Obama.

Indiana went to Barack Obama in 2008. Ever since 1960s, the Midwestern state has trended likely Republican. This time it's likely a loss for the president.

Republicans once again show no respect for the office of the President of the United States, yet again.

Indiana Republicans at the Delaware County Fair in Muncie have displayed a Obama punching bag at one of their booths.

The Washington Post reports that the punching bag depicting President Barack Obama as a boxer with a black eye has been removed from the Republican Party tent at an Indiana fair after some fairgoers complained.

Delaware County GOP spokesman Tom Bennington thinks the bag was placed outside the tent by party leaders. It was displayed at various times Monday through Wednesday at the fair in Muncie, about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

He says the bag was “meant in fun” to illustrate that Republicans hope to defeat Obama in November. But says he found it “mildly offensive” because of how it portrayed the military’s commander in chief. It was removed after fair visitors — including at least one Republican — voiced concerns.

This once again gives the notion that extremism is on the rise, and the Republican Party and its allies in the conservative media advocate this type of nonsense in the name of these stupid culture wars!
