Democratic House Leader Pelosi: GOP Want Voter Suppression!

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-California) is the former Speaker of the House. Her legacy as a progressive and effective leader was scrutinized by Republicans and conservatives who painted her a wicked witch and an overreaching politician. After her term expired, she became the Democratic Minority Leader.

This contempt charge to Attorney General Eric Holder by the Republicans have the Democrats angry.

Minority House Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-California) is concerned that this political gamesmanship is another attempt to stop the U.S. Justice Department from preventing Republican-controlled state legislator's attempts to suppress voters in minority-majority areas.

Republicans are sinking in popularity. Anti-incumbent fever is growing once again. Congress job approval is only 17% according to Gallup. People are not seeing progress in Congress.

Why are government workers getting furlows while our U.S. Representatives and Senators still get paychecks?

The Republicans are likely to have a hold on the House of Representatives and a possibility of taking back the Senate.

With this 112th Congress, Republicans had once said they'll lead the charge on bring back jobs to those struggling! That was quickly thrown out the window the moment they took the oath of office.

The Republicans spent nearly this session of Congress trying to pass legislation that could unravel the progress the president put forth to fix the struggling economy. The Republicans took funding from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (known as the stimulus) and used it to get projects done in their congressional district. And yet they complain that it didn't solve the problems we're facing. The Republicans want to repeal healthcare reform (Obamacare), roll back regulations on banks and Wall Street (Dodd-Frank), and open up federal lands for oil drilling (in regards to the Keystone XL Pipeline). They want to stop funding to NPR/PBS, Planned Parenthood. Austerity cuts to farm subsidies (which includes food stamps), privatizing Medicare/Medicaid and social security. They want to pass legislation that may restrict a woman's right to have an abortion. The Republicans will not support any legislation without domestic austerity cuts.

The Republicans will not reimburse land to the Native Americans. They think the land reimbursement is a bad idea and land should be granted to private businesses to develop resources.

The Republicans want to stop minorities from voting by allowing state legislators pass laws that could restrict voters to participate. Those who registered to vote but rarely vote are likely to be the subject of Republicans. They figure that minorities and younger voters are the key to the president. If they could prevent them from voting, they could win.

President Barack Obama can't really do much during a gridlock in Congress. The Republicans are licking the chops hoping that the public would blame the president for the economy instead of them.

The president has demanded that Congress pass a highway and student loans bill. So far nothing has happened. The Congress hasn't passed a job's bill. There's thousands of construction projects that could be delayed and eventually scrapped. People are looking for Congress to do something that could help student's with federal loans. The loan rate will increase in a few days and Congress haven't put forth a debate on this.

Yet, the House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is likely to side with fellow Republicans on holding a contempt vote against Holder.

Congressman Darrell Issa (R-California) wants to push forth this contempt charge against Holder. He generated a lot of attention during his chairmanship in House Oversight Committee. This year, when Georgetown University student and activist Sandra Fluke wasn't allow to testify during a debate on contraception. Republicans are looking to make a dent into the president by this ridiculous witch hunt over the botched gun running operation Fast & Furious.

The possible Supreme Court decision on healthcare reform is coming and Republicans are looking into hoping it will be strike down. The White House and Republicans are nervously cautious about the pending decision.

The Republicans want to repeal and replace. Yet, there's no talk about talk about replacements to health care reform.

Look I am all about getting things done, and the Republican Party haven't put forth an effort to help the president solve these problems. Their goal is to sabotage the president and hope the public blames him instead of them. The listened to the loud vocal minority of talk radio, the blogs and radical extremist in religion to guide them. They enjoy the millions of dollars from wealthy donors who want to ruin the environment, put forth legislation that supports the radical Christian agenda, and keep minorities away from succeeding by letting them kill one another in the cities while they watch it on their television in the suburbs.

Yes, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, they're trying to screw Holder. They're trying to screw President Barack Obama. They're trying to ruin the economy so they can get back into power. They don't care about the poor, the sick or the needy.

Republicans are screaming at success, cheering for failure.

The Republican Party pander to the extremists. White conservative males have lower intelligence! This is ripe for the picking of the professional bigots that run within the Republican Party. They need to keep them riled up with issues like gay marriage, gun control, radical Islam, Black on White crime and the undocumented workers taking jobs from hard working white people.

A majority of the public is bought into this crap that comes from the Republican Party. Wonder why they still can't figure out whether the president is a Christian or Muslim? Ask the Republican Party.
