Wrapping up one of the worst years ever. |
BLACK LIVES MATTER
PROTECT BLACK WOMEN!
GOOD TROUBLE!
WEAR A DAMN MASK! SAVE A LIFE!
Trump rips off his face mask after he was released from Walter Reed. |
Unfortunately for the 400,000 Americans who died from the coronavirus, their ticket was punched in 2020.
The global pandemic dominated 10 of the 12 months.
Donald J. Trump is ________________. He is the third U.S. president to be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. He managed to survive removal by the Senate.
The removal came from the American voter.
He only serves one term.
President Donald J. Trump wraps up his final weeks in 2021. He will no longer be the president.
Trump will reluctantly pass the baton to Joseph R. Biden II. Mind you Trump has not conceded nor is planning on having Biden at the White House to announce a peaceful transfer of power.
He continues to subvert and overturn the election results despite the Electoral College ruling that Biden won the popular vote and electoral count.
While he failed at taking on the pandemic, he does get some credit for the vaccine.
Trump managed to earn praise from some because of his America first policies.
Trump had worked on mending peace with Israel and the Arab League. Although disputed by Palestine and Iran, the Middle East is slowly recognizing Israel as a legitimate democracy.
They have stressed that Israel continues to commit criminal acts against those living in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
They also condemn the actions of illegal target kills and building settlements in the West Bank despite being ordered to abstain from building them.
He played a role in the passing of the CARES Act, PPE, and the USMCA trade agreement.
Trump has signed off 253 bills into law.
Congress was slightly productive. The House Democrats have passed more bills than the Senate. The Senate has confirmed more federal judges than in previous years.
Much like Trump's legacy it was ripped up. |
The new Congress is coming. A new class of agitators who now become lawmakers. No longer talk about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Now we’re going to hear noise from Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Bryon Donalds (R-FL) and Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT). They will be in the news for some dumbass reason. They will become the villains now they’re lawmakers.
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. John Thune (R-SD) are old lawmakers. They need to move on past the leadership roles and hand them to younger members. At least a member who won’t be polarizing like these lawmakers.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI), Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK), Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) can relax. For the next six years, they’ll have time to finally work.
The new Congress will be likely targets of death threats and vilification. Republicans are already in fear of those lovely town halls they’ll have. For one, the Democrats will attack them for delaying COVID-19 relief. The Republican supporting constituents will attack them for not defending Trump in his ill-fated fight to change the election results.
Barack Obama’s right hand man Joe Biden will be our new president. They got their revenge on Trump and Republicans. Despite the ongoing onslaught of attacks from Trump, Fox News, Russia, Rudy Giuliani, Tara Reade, Rose McGowan, Katie Halper, Sean “Softball” Hannity and OANN, Biden managed to get through the noise and became our next leader.
Biden, like Obama, will clean up the mess of his predecessor. Republicans often leave big messes for Democrats to clean up. When Democrats don’t clean up the mess fast enough, the Republicans will complain and cause havoc.
History has been made. Kamala Harris will be the first woman, first African American, first Indian American, first biracial, first Sorority affiliated, first woman of color to be the Vice President of the United States.
Thanks to KHIVE.
Thanks to Bianca of KHIVE, 2RawTooReal, Black Women Views Media, Meena and Maya Harris.
You have been very helpful in making Kamala a part of American history.
She is married to Doug Emhoff, a Jewish business executive and lawyer. He will be the Second Gentleman.
Dr. Jill Biden, a professor at a Virginia college, will be the First Lady of the United States. She was then the Second Lady of the United States. She will be a lovely First Lady. She isn’t a phony plastic doll like First Lady Melania Trump.
Melania barely spoke English and rarely was seen in public. On some occasions she would be with President Trump, but she mainly stayed in shelter with her special needs son Barron.
I won’t miss the Trump children and their spouses. I won’t miss Ivanka and Jared Kushner.
I won’t miss Donald, Jr., Vanessa, his mistress Natalia Veselneskya, his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle.
I won’t miss Eric and Lara Trump. I am guessing Lara will run for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina.
The president, Eric and Donald, Jr. will collaborate with a media conglomerate to form a Trump TV Network for far-right propaganda and family programming.
Kamala Harris will be the first woman to be Vice President of the United States. She is African American. She is of Jamaican and South Asian/Indian heritage. |
Trump may run for president in 2024. He may suck the oxygen out the room for future Republican candidates.
So many lives were lost to this pandemic. You may have lost a family member, a friend, a co-worker or someone you were acquainted with. The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms.
John Lewis looks down on Black Lives Matter Plaza. The iconic civil rights activist and U.S. lawmaker died of cancer. |
Trump continued to hold large rallies despite the danger. His supporters died. Herman Cain, Roger Trump, Luke Letlow and many other Republicans died. When the President and First Lady caught the coronavirus, it shocked the world. Trump got advance medical treatment and turned his recovery into a fucking reality television show. When he returned to the White House and ripped off that mask, he immediately released a political ad to downplay the seriousness of the coronavirus. He said that if he can beat it, you can too! He said we shouldn’t base our lives around it. Well that didn’t help with the people who lost their families to it.
This pandemic will be the only thing Trump will be remembered for. Not his controversial decision to hold a rally for Amy Coney Barrett. Not the allegations of rape from Brett Kavanaugh. Not the abrupt rule changes by Mitch McConnell to ram through Neil Gorsuch and federal judges.McConnell’s refusal to allow Obama his Supreme Court pick and federal judges will leave a legacy of inaction by Republicans. The refusal to pass relief for struggling Americans will also ruin Republicans. They would love to give tax breaks to the rich while making the middle class and poor struggle.
Congress has never been popular. Going into 2021 will be no better.
_______ Passed Away!
Those who died, we've covered here on the blog. If we forgotten any famous names, our apologies.
Every year a celebrity or person in the news dies. We mourn. We celebrate and we continue on.
We lost Kobe Bryant, Alex Trebek, Sean Connery, Kenny Rogers, Little Richard, Chadwick Boseman, John Lewis, Regis Philbin, Naya Rivera, Kelly Preston, Carl Reiner, Jerry Stiller, Fred Willard, Roy Horn, Dawn Wells, Eddie Van Halen, Pop Smoke, Herman Cain, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Charley Pride, Tiny Lister, Chuck Yeager, Bill Withers, Andre Harrell, Earl Graves, Sr., Joseph Lowery, Kirk Douglas and so many others passed away this year.
Shocking that we lost Kobe Bryant, Chadwick Boseman,Alex Trebek, Eddie Van Halen, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Little Richard and Kenny Rogers.
Kobe Bryant’s death was heartbreaking. He along with his daughter Gigi and five others died in a helicopter crash in California. That took the world by storm.
Chadwick Boseman's death was heartbreaking as well. Best known as The Black Panther, Boseman kept the public out of his battle. He told a few people that as long as he can breathe, he would do all he can to work to entertain generations.
Alex Trebek announcing he had pancreatic cancer rocked the game show industry. The legendary host of Jeopardy! died from pancreatic cancer. His life will be forever remembered.
Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping away from royal duties. They got tired of the British press attacking them and the comparisons to Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. Harry and Meghan decided to take residence in the United States and have contributed to helping the middle class. They banned a number of far-right tabloids over racist coverage of Meghan and her son, Archie.
The movie and television industry has been rocked by the pandemic. Most American television is slowly being grinded to a halt. Filming in Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Miami and even in Canadian cities Vancouver and Toronto were stopped.
American news media had to limit their appearances on camera. They did reporting at home.
American media personalities had to do distance interviews and on-ground coverage with those who didn’t want to follow pandemic restrictions.
George Floyd change the world. |
What happened to _________? Every year, I've posted about people of color being killed by law enforcement and vigilantes. I am still vocal about how law enforcement is killing people of color without prejudice. I've seen it time after time and I believe it's going to get worse before it gets better. We're still demanding justice reform despite Congress passing legislation and celebrities getting innocent people freed from prison. We need police reform, better trained officers and a sense of understanding. We also need to have law enforcement better equipped in the case of a shooting.
We heard the calls for racial equality and justice reform. We also heard calls to return things back to normal despite the pandemic.
When there were protests against closing up the states, conservatives came to state capitals with weapons. When there were protests against Black people being killed by police, it was met with violent interactions by police.
Karen was invented. A white woman calling the law on a birdwatcher. Folks condemned her for doing it and strangling her dog. |
There were riots after sporting events where a team won. The junk food media called it just typical of winning. When there were riots in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, the junk food media ridiculed Black Lives Matter and Antifa for the actions.
White people wanted to cause intentional destruction to make Black Lives Matter look bad.
White people were responsible for the firebombing of the Minneapolis Police station. White people were responsible for the deadly shooting in Kenosha after a Black man was shot by a police officer the moment he tried to get into his vehicle.
There is no justice for Tamir Rice and Breonna Taylor. The cops who shot them walk. The U.S. Justice Department and state attorneys refuse to bring criminal charges against these bad cops.
Bad cops continue to exist. Why do these individuals get away with murder?
Mass shootings continue in the country. The issue taken a backseat when the pandemic hit.
However, we did weaken the NRA and that’s a plus. The National Rifle Association had closed it NRATV.
Dana Loesch, Dan Bongino and Wayne LaPierre are no longer powerful voices in the debate over firearms. They have been marginalized as grifters and charlatans. They stole from members and used the money for their selfish actions.
We invented the new name for white people who called the law on people of color.
KAREN!
The new term for white people who feel the need to call the police or act out in public whenever they don’t get their way. With this pandemic, white people are reacting to bird watchers, rules in stores, loud music, barbecuing outside a park and numerous other issues. White people are being shamed for calling the police on minor disputes and racism towards people of color.
Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram have seen criticism, praise and more traffic. With the recent demise of PornHub, social media is taking huge steps in cracking down on hate speech, child pornography, misinformation, fake news, conspiracy theories and violent acts on animals and people.
Facebook reluctantly led the way in keeping false information about the election. They were pressured by both Democrats and Republicans to do something about it. Democrats claim that the social media failed in trafficking false and misleading information. Republicans claim that the social media failed in blacklisting freedom of speech and topics that some support.
So much shit happened in 2020. I am just thankful I survived it.
I know I am going to not be doing much posting like I’ve done in 2020. Blogger is seriously messed up right now and it’s basically not getting any better.
Google rolled out the new Blogger interface and many are complaining that the interface is deleting posts, moving pictures to the end of a posting, not giving accurate posting times among the most things.
BLOGGER IS TRASH!
GOOGLE HAS MESSED UP “BIG TIME!”
I liked the legacy interface. Now I am resorting to using Microsoft Word, Google Doc and Open Source to write and copy my postings to this blog.
Google really is a dominant force in the United States. I am disappointed that we have come to the end of the year where it’s going to be something totally different going in.
The only thing I got in the predictions is someone (you know) is likely going to get the coronavirus, Joe Biden will be the President of the United States, celebrities will pass away, more mass shootings, more police shootings of unarmed people of color, a major natural disasters, a possible government shutdown, (former president) Donald Trump trolling and _______________.
On behalf of me, LaRayna and Councilman George L. Cook III, well wishes this New Year.
Keep the faith.
