Social Media And Dating: A Love Story!

I am guessing I'm going to be single for a while. I am not upset about it. I am actually happy. I am happy that a great burden was lifted from me. I had to get rid of the problems that plagued me for the last few months.

I have grown more resentful towards people. I am going to be really honest with you. I am not as easy going as I used to be. I am reclusive and remote. I don't often like big groups and I am putting on an act of "being nice" when dealing with people I seldom tolerate.

I figured that my worse fears came true.

My biggest fear in life is rejection and failure. Today, I feel like I've been a failure. I am a failure in relationships. Not because I'm not the right guy. But I figured that I am the "NICE GUY". The doormat. The sap. The sucker. The guy who doesn't ask for much but end up with women who too much of a burden.

I am the guy who going to be single for the rest of my days.

I've dated Black and White women for most of my life. Maybe it's me.... I don't know!

I want more than just being friends.

So why do I continue getting the ones who end up being total disasters?

When I posted Valentine's Day: An Honest Opinion, I mentioned that I was dating a woman who lied about being pregnant. I was devastated by the lies and deception. I gave up a lot to settle down. I seriously felt robbed of my cool relaxed and patient nature.

It was hard but I had to kick her to the curb. I can't trust a person who would deceive me. Especially when it comes to children.

Her name was Jessica. And she managed to hurt me by hiding her pregnancy and lying. I've forgiven her but I don't want nothing to do with her.

You hear the other say they're not like other ones you've dated. I just pretend to listen and act like I care. The moment that ask me, "do me a favor?"

I promise that I will run for the door.

She will realize that when the next person comes into her life will take advantage of her just like she done to me. She will realize that the man she loves is a cheater and user. Something she claim she never was.

A few days later, I met a woman on another social media website for dating. The website is called POF.com. The website is second to OkCupid in the match making industry.

I was cautious about this. The first response from this woman was "come over and party". I was a bit reluctant to head over, but I did. It was early in the morning and I went over. This woman introduced herself as Jennifer, but preferred to be called Jen.

Jen was a 39 year old woman who worked at a specialty restaurant that serves platters such as Bourbon chicken. I was a frequent regular at the location in the city. It would move from its location to be closer to the university. She openly boasted that she was a "spoiled" woman and wanted her man to do everything without question. No problem there. I was willing to do anything for her if I was to get something in return.

So a few hours of talking, we would embrace. Then we ha sex. Yeah, I normally wouldn't have sex with a woman on the first date, but I wanted to repel the memory of Jessica.

But what comes a shocker to me, she admits to me that she's addicted to crack cocaine.

As usual, I normally try to accept people for who they are. I told her that "as long as you don't get me involved in this, I have no problems with you!"

That was a big mistake.

Dating a person who is addicted to drugs can prove to be more of a burden than a woman lying about not being pregnant.

For the next five weeks, I would often come by and spend the night with her. She would ask for money just to do an errand run. I should have known better. She was trying to get dope. She promised that she got me back. According to her, the word was good.

Well I gave her money. And with more money and on top of that alcohol. I was feeding her addiction.

I come to find out that she's relapse after numerous failures in her life. She was the mother of three. Her oldest was given up for adoption and she had fears that her two younger children would be taken away if the law found out she was addicted to drugs. She would tell me that she's trying to quit. And she was hoping to quit so she can get her life back together.

I accepted that. I told her that I hope the best for her and pray that she can overcome her addiction to crack.

But that turned out to be wrong. In the weeks ahead, she would involuntarily get involve with friends, family members and dope boys. Each of these people were involved in drugs or sold drugs.

I was starting to be concerned about her. One day she frantically called saying that a family member stole her vehicle. That caused her to relapse even further into the crack addiction.

A few days without her truck led her to having a nervous breakdown. She would drink heavily, smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day and become more combative.

See being a crack addict makes you restless, combative, paranoid, and reckless.

I found her truck near my neighborhood. Her family member is a drug addict and prostitute. She would steal vehicles and head over to her pimp or a dope boy for shelter.

A few nights of driving her truck after it was stolen was short lived. She would be busted by the law for being caught leaving a known dope spot. She was arrested that night and spend a few nights in the county lock up. The vehicle was impounded.

She would temporarily lose her job. She was depressed and she was saying that it was over. She would end the crack addiction. Wrong.

It caused her to go even further down the hole. She would lie to get a hit. I would take her to work.

I was called one morning and she asked if she could see me. I agreed. She said that she's getting ready to meet me. But asked her why! She knew that I don't want to be associated with dope boys.

She would make up some excuse saying that it's not going to be long. You won't be caught. I'm just going to do this only one time.

I said no. I am not going to drive you to get dope. She goes combative and threatens to end all ties with me. So we argue for a hour and she said leave her alone.

I should have just done that. I could just erase all my troubles and move forward.

But I felt that I was "owed" for all the things rendered during the time I've spent with her. So I tried to reconcile. At first, I thought everything was cool. Alas, it was a bust.

A few days of reconciliation didn't last long. I was called over to her house. She said that she was lonely. So I decide to head over in the dense fog to her home. I go to her home and see her in a daze.

She was drinking Fireball whiskey and all doped up. She had marijuana, some powerful dope and that strong whiskey. The ingredients for belligerent nutcase.

She was extremely paranoid and volatile. She even threaten me with a bat. She told me to get out the house and said that she was "scared" of me.

Again, I never threaten her. I never hit her. I never did anything wrong to her. After she feel asleep, I left.

Before I've left, I wished her well. A few days later, she would text me.

"I just hope you would never do anything that may hurt me or my children," Jennifer said.

I respond back:

"In the beginning, I was not going to respond. After you went off on me, I rather just leave and never look back. Your children are cool. I never would harm children or animals. I didn't do anything wrong to yo. I never stole property or destroyed things. "

Jennifer needs psychological help. She can't find happiness (at least from me) if you're still binging on alcohol and dope.

If there was a God, he wouldn't never put me into these peoples lives.

Someone told me that I had a heart. I was told that I have a big heart but that seems to be my passive beliefs in helping others.

I mean I am going to warn all singles! Don't believe the hype!

You can't find love online. No, let me stop. You can find love. But it's best to be very cautious about those online. Even though it may be fun and it gets you an opportunity to meet interesting people, the negatives outweigh the positives. It's dangerous and could led to more heartbreak. So I am just saying, use your head.

Know who you're dealing with with before you jump into romance or marriage.

I'm going to have patience and a whole lot of mistrust towards people nowadays.

People can't keep their word when they deliver on their promises. That goes for online dating.

I am struggling for success. I will hopefully find love someday. I hope the right person will be there. And of course, the race of the woman isn't a problem for me. I have no bias against women of color, transgender women, bisexual or independent women. If you're interesting, let's talk and move things forward.

I am not looking for much. I am looking for women who have independent minds. I don't have problem dating women with children. I don't have no problem traveling to meet a woman (as long as she has a means of transportation) to connect with me.

Well I do have a bias.

I don't like women who have no jobs, no money and no car. Also I will not date women who are pregnant and its not my child. I will not date anyone who is a drug abuser. I will never date tomboys, spoiled brats, and divas. Lastly, I will never date a woman who is obsessive phone caller.

Why do I end up dating these failures?

I don't have no problems dating any woman of color or nationality. Race shouldn't be a matter at least with me!

Not saying that all women are bad. I am just saying that the ones who are often looking for the "good guys" are the ones who got more issues than me.

These two were terrible. I wish them well on finding the right guy. Believe me, the next guy would probably head for the hills once he gets to know them.

Comedy Central's Key & Peele do a comedy sketch with comedian Natasha Leggaro. They are talking about White women dating and having sex with Black men.

Obama: F**k It, I'm Gonna Get Things Done Despite The Republicans B*tching!

President Barack Obama is going to act on immigration reform.

Republicans are livid over the president's attempts to use executive order to get immigration reform moving.

President Barack Obama had enough. His party was defeated by the Republicans in the Midterms and they tried everything to appeal to their base. Their base sat it out because of things that weren't covered.

The improving job market. The lower prices of fuel and oil. The healthcare law is improving. Things are better than they were when he got into office in 2009.

But to the Republicans and their racist right allies, ISIS is coming to America. The border at Mexico is open and illegal immigrants are pouring into the country. Obamacare (as the junk food media and Republicans call it) is an epic disaster. Gay marriage is tearing apart families. There's no jobs and the unemployment numbers are bogus. The president is using his executive orders like a dictator. The media is liberal. And so on and so on.....

This stuff helped the Republicans win control of Congress and hold on to state governorships despite their unpopularity.

Now the president is warning Republicans that he's going ahead after waiting too long on passing immigration reform. The Senate had passed immigration reform, but the House killed the bill.

Obama's most anticipated steps is executive action on immigration, which could provide deportation relief to millions of undocumented immigrants.

Republican leaders in Washington were quick to rebuke the president's actions, which they argued could jeopardize any collaboration with the White House once the new Congress takes over in January.

"I've been very disturbed about the way the president has proceeded in the wake of the election, whether it was his intervention on net neutrality, his apparent decision to move ahead on immigration with executive orders, the rather ridiculous agreement with the Chinese," soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Thursday.

"I had maybe naively hoped the president would look at the results of the election and decide to come to the political center and do some business with us," McConnell continued. "I still hope he does at some point, but the early signs are not good."

The voters told you to stop. That's why we won! - Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Majority Leader designate.
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) also condemned the president's assertiveness, pledging to fight him "tooth and nail" on immigration and even refusing to take the threat of a government shutdown off the table.

"This is the wrong way to govern," Boehner told reporters Thursday. "If he wants to go off on his own, there are things he's just not going to get."

The Huffington Post and most in the junk food media believe that the Republicans and President Barack Obama are going to have a contiguous fight over issues. I'm already dubbing this the party that plans on IMPEACHING OBAMA over everything.

The do-nothing Congress did pass in the House that stupid Keystone XL pipeline bill. Despite the cost of oil being extremely low this season, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) is hoping that this bill getting passed will help him knock Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) out of Washington.

The Keystone XL pipeline is based in Canada. Once built, it will transport tar sand oil across the Yukon to the Gulf of Mexico. Then of course, it will be shipped overseas.

Tevin Geike Murder: Another Tragic Story For The Racist Right To Poke Its Head In!

Tevin Geike was murdered after he got into a confrontation with a man who allegedly shouted racial slurs at him.

A story for the racist right to get riled up over. Another criminal act caused by a Black person upon a White person. Get on the sirens, another one of those Black on White crimes that the mainstream media doesn't talk about.

What are we doing?

What is the social media doing?

What will the junk food media talk about today?

Obviously the racist right will find someway to blame the junk food media, President Barack Obama or Trayvon Martin. In their clueless minds, this stuff is swept under the rug because the criminal isn't a White guy killing a Black or Hispanic person.

It's a requirement of the racist right to attach either Trayvon Martin,  the "Obama's sons" quote or Black crime statistics to every event that involves a racial aspect. The racial extremist's word vomits will usually have a racial slur or a condescending stereotype of the Black community as a whole.

I've said too many times, That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall is a notorious race-baiter. Obviously, he and King Hippo are the reasons to why those in the Republican Party are so freaking extreme!

In the community of Lakewood, Washington, three soldiers were leaving an establishment when a bunch of words turned into a stabbing of an active duty soldier.

KOMO reports that a Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier was stabbed to death in a parking lot at the 12500 block of Pacific Highway Southwest around 2:30 a.m., officials say.

20-year-old Tevin Geike was walking with two other white soldiers along Pacific Highway SW when a group of black men drove by and shouted a racial comment toward the soldiers, the Lakewood Police Department said.

"One of the soldiers yelled back something about the suspects treating combat soldiers with disrespect," Lt. Chris Lawler said.

The car turned around and the men confronted the soldiers, according to reports. As the verbal confrontation ensued, the driver of the vehicle realized the men were actually combat veterans and called his friends off. While the men headed back to their vehicle, one of the suspects appeared to have bumped into Geike, witnesses say.

The soldiers saw Geike fall to the ground as the car sped away. He was bleeding profusely from stab wounds and died at the scene.

"We came down here, and he was already dead in my brother's arms," said Glenn Zimmerman, a friend of Geike.

Friends say there was a party at the Biltmore Motel that evening, and Geike was gathering with family and friends after being discharged from the military. Zimmerman said Geike's contract was up, and he was celebrating serving his country.

"I don't understand how someone can do this - that man, he almost gave his life for people to enjoy the freedoms they have and he was just stabbed for no (expletive) reason," he continued.

The initial remark that started the encounter seemed derogatory in nature, said Lakewood police Lt. Chris Lawler. He said it was too early to say that race was the motivating factor, but investigators were exploring whether the killing should be classified as a hate crime.

"We are certainly considering it, for sure," Lawler said.

Police are searching for a midnight blue BMW-type sedan or VW Jetta-type car with four doors, tinted windows and stock rims, and low profile tires.

All five suspects are black men in their 20s, police say. The main suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, about 6'1", medium build, and was wearing a blue zip-up hoodie. The driver was described as having short cropped hair, and wearing a blue and white horizontal striped shirt.

Detectives were in the area Saturday looking for businesses or others who might have video from around the time of the stabbing. Lawler said the person who stabbed the soldier should come forward and show remorse now.

"He's going to get caught," Lawler said. "Nobody's going to give up until we catch up."

Geike, of Summerville, SC, entered the Army in October 2010 and reported to Fort Jackson, SC, for basic training. According to unit records, Spc. Geike was a member of the 7th Infantry Division, arrived at JBLM in April 2011, and had been in the Army 35 months.

Again, we here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences the family of Tevin Geike.

Not On Black Wall Street!

Tulsa street named after a controversial figure.
The Associated Press reports that the city of Tulsa is considering renaming a street after they've gotten word of a namesake's controversial history.

Tulsa city councilors were expected to decide Thursday whether to rename a popular downtown street tied to a city founder who was involved with the Ku Klux Klan and possibly tied to a 1921 race riot in which hundreds of blacks were killed.

Before considering changing Brady Street's name at its Thursday night meeting, City Hall invited those who own property along the street to tell the City Council where they stand.
The street's namesake, Wyatt Tate Brady, was a shoe salesman who became a prominent Tulsa businessman. He signed the city's incorporation papers, started a newspaper and pumped his wealth into promoting Tulsa to the rest of the country.
Wyatt Tate Brady/
But Brady, the son of a Confederate veteran, was also a member of the Klan. New questions arose after a magazine article looked at whether he was involved in the most notorious event in Tulsa history: a 1921 race riot that left some 300 black residents dead.
Thursday night's vote will be on whether to change Brady Street's name to Burlington Street – reflecting a recently discovered 1907 document on which someone crossed out Burlington Street and wrote Brady Street in its place.
Today, Brady Street cuts through the heart of the Brady Arts District, a glitzy downtown area that represents arguably the most successful redevelopment project the city has ever pursued.
Boarded-up warehouses, overgrown lots and blight have been replaced with trendy bistros, a cigar bar and a museum and park honoring Dust Bowl music legend Woody Guthrie, who grew up in Okemah, about 50 miles south.
Supporters have been lobbying for the name change since 2011, when an article in the literary magazine This Land said Brady created an environment of racism that led to the 1921 riot that decimated a thriving district that historians have called Black Wall Street.
Those who want to leave the name alone, including Mayor Dewey Bartlett and a contingent of the Brady district's business owners, fear that changing one name could lead to a revisionist look into the pasts of other notable residents who have parks, buildings and streets named after them too.

Guess Who's Back!

There's new photos released of George Zimmerman, the controversial shooter of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed teenager in Florida.

Looking on Redding News Review tonight and caught the picture of the 28 year old volunteer neighborhood watcher with a broken nose and that cocky look on his face.

I already assuming that Sean Hannity will interview Zimmerman in the coming months. He's already invested time in this controversy despite the heavy criticism brought upon him.

Yeah, we understand that Zimmerman was bloody up by Trayvon Martin. But the question is! Why didn't he listen to the 9-1-1 dispatcher when he was told not to confront the individual?

Reuters report that Sanford Police released a picture of Zimmerman. He is charged with second-degree murder in which he could carry life in prison. The color photograph of George Zimmerman with a bloody, swollen nose taken on the night he shot and killed unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin last February was posted on the Internet on Monday by Zimmerman's legal defense team.

As the photo began to be circulated widely by the news media, lawyers on both sides disagreed about its significance to the second-degree murder case against Zimmerman.

"It's not a game changer," Zimmerman lawyer Mark O'Mara told Reuters. But O'Mara said the photo was significant in that it shows vividly the injuries Zimmerman incurred during his confrontation with Martin at a condominium in the central Florida town on Sanford.

On February 26, Zimmerman, who was a neighborhood watch volunteer, shot and killed 17-year-old Martin who was walking to the home in Sanford where he was staying with his father.

Zimmerman's murder trial is set for June 2013.

Zimmerman claims he shot Martin in self defense during a struggle.

"Does it really show what happened that night to George? Yes," O'Mara said.

Attorney Ben Crump, who represents Martin's family, however said the photo adds nothing new to the case.

Previously released evidence has indicated Zimmerman was hit in the nose during the fight with Martin.

"Trayvon Martin was defending himself. He had every right to stand his ground to defend himself," Crump said.

O'Mara told Reuters that prosecutors in May had given him a grainy black-and-white photocopy of the image which was taken in the back seat of a Sanford police cruiser. O'Mara said he received the digital image from prosecutors after repeated demands by his office and he posted it Monday on Zimmerman's defense website.

George Zimmerman In Custody, Charged With Second-Degree Murder In Trayvon Martin Case

George Zimmerman, 28 the shooter of Trayvon Martin
The special prosecutor investigating the death of Trayvon Martin announced Wednesday evening that George Zimmerman, who told police he shot the teen in self defense, has been charged with second-degree murder. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Authorities said that Zimmerman, who has been in hiding for weeks, was in police custody. Special prosecutor Angela Corey said during a news conference that she would not reveal where Zimmerman was out of concern for his safety. "He is within the custody of law enforcement officers in the state of Florida," Corey said.

The murder charge indicates that prosecutors believe that they can prove Zimmerman shot Martin with malice, though without premeditation. A manslaughter charge would have required prosecutors only to prove that Zimmerman acted unlawfully and with criminal negligence in shooting the teen.

"The difference between murder and manslaughter is your mental state," said Mark Geragos, a Los Angeles defense attorney, who is not connected to the case. "To elevate it to murder, you have to have the element of malice."

Malice is generally defined as showing ill will or "extreme indifference" to human life.

The announcement of the charges comes a day after Zimmerman's attorneys withdrew their counsel, saying they lost contact with him and that he repeatedly ignored their legal advice.
Zimmerman, 28, shot and killed 17-year-old Martin 43 days ago in a gated community in Sanford, Fla., where Martin was visiting with his father and his father's girlfriend. Zimmerman served as the captain of the neighborhood watch and told the police that he shot Martin in self-defense after the teen attacked him.
On the night of the shooting, Zimmerman was questioned at the police station, but he was released shortly thereafter. The police said there was not enough evidence to refute his claims of self-defense.

Martin's death and subsequent handling of the investigation sparked national outrage and calls for Zimmerman's arrest. The case became a flashpoint in the ongoing national debate over racial profiling and gun control.

Trayvon's parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, watched Wednesday's press conference in Washington on a small television. As Corey read the charges, the slain teen's parents held hands and watched. “Thank you, Lord,” said Benjamin Crump, the family's attorney as he patted Tracy Martin's knee.

At a press conference after the charges were announced, Fulton said she was thankful for the outpouring of public support. “I just want to speak from my heart to your heart, because a heart has no color," she said. "It's not black, it’s not white, it's red, and I want to say thank you from my heart to your heart."

Both the defense and prosecution face the challenge of trying a case that has drawn extraordinary media scrutiny, and inflamed passions both for and against Zimmerman. Jury selection will be a crucial and difficult task given the tremendous media coverage afforded to the shooting, experts said.

"This case is won or lost in jury selection," Geragos said.

For some, the prosecution of Zimmerman may also be a symbolic test of Florida's ability to conduct a fair trial in a case that has radically polarized the public and fueled marches and protests across the country. Just last year, Casey Anthony, a young Florida mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, was acquitted of murder, a verdict that many decried as a miscarriage of justice.

"The state of Florida is on trial here, not just Zimmerman," said Kenneth Nunn, a law professor at the University of Florida.

From the start, Martin’s family and their attorneys questioned the impartiality and thoroughness of the police investigation into the teen’s killing.

New Black Panthers "Wanted Poster" off The Drudge Report
Law enforcement experts said that Sanford police made key errors early in the investigation and made crucial decisions before important evidence was gathered. Martin's cell phone records were not immediately checked. Investigators did not talk with key witnesses for more than a week.

While police conducted a criminal background check on Martin, as well as drug and alcohol tests, Zimmerman was not subject the same tests. It was learned later that Zimmerman was arrested in 2005 for assaulting a police officer and has had a history of aggression and violence, including domestic violence.

During her news conference announcing the charges, Corey took an apparent swipe at Sanford police officials, who leaked confidential information about the case that appeared to bolster Zimmerman's claims of self-defense.

"So much information on the case got released that never should have been released," Corey said.

The Sean Hannity Impact:

You Get The Notion President Barack Obama Will Easily Win Reelection Because of Sean Hannity and His Ongoing Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Seriously?

Why on earth would this conservative agitator get involved in the Trayvon Martin case?

This is the latest bombshell of information that's coming from the two attorneys who recently spoke out on their client George Zimmerman. The Zimmerman legal defense team of Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig stepped aside after failing to get in contact with him and made the claim that he's no longer in Sanford, Florida. What really upsets them was the private conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity, and his failure to disclose that to them. The conservative agitator Sean Hannity somehow meddles in the Trayvon Martin case. For what reason? To have the New Black Panthers arrested for making a bounty on the shooter of an unarmed teenager?

This week, George Zimmerman created his own personal website and wanted his supporters pay for his legal expenses. Sean Hannity interviewed the father and urged him to speak out against President Barack Obama and Civil Rights leaders. George Zimmerman's family wants Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate the death threats that he's gotten recently.

Fox News Channel promotes a conservative prospective to most issues.

This fake "Wanted: Dead or Alive Poster" by the New Black Panther Party for Self Justice is ridiculous.

They're not taken seriously. They have no decency!

Why is Sean Hannity and most on the right focused on it?

Because it's a rehashing of the events during the 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections. The right has been focused on the incident where two New Black Panthers were at a voting station in Philadelphia. The firestorm started when one of the men waving a baton and hurling racial slurs at two videographers for a conservative agitating website. The U.S. Justice Department dismissed the case and felt there was no intimidation against the voters.

Even some complained that the media and the two videographers were harassing some of the voters.

Sean Hannity and other conservatives openly support George Zimmerman.
Hannity contacted by shooter in Martin case
By DAVID BAUDER, Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity has become the second cable news host whose involvement in the Trayvon Martin shooting case has gone beyond merely talking about it on the air.

Hannity acknowledged having a conversation with a man he believed to be George Zimmerman, who shot and killed the black Florida teenager Feb. 26 in a case that has ignited racial tensions. Zimmerman's former lawyers, in quitting the case Tuesday, noted that their client had talked to Hannity more recently than with them.

Hannity, who last week interviewed Zimmerman's father on Fox, said there has been a "rush to judgment" about the shooter.

Over on MSNBC, Al Sharpton has participated in marches and demonstrations in support of Martin while continuing to discuss the case on his evening talk show. There have been stark differences in the attention and focus on the case at the two networks.

A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press on Wednesday that charges were being filed against Zimmerman and that his arrest was expected. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to release the information.

Hannity's involvement in the case came to light Tuesday at a news conference held by Zimmerman's former lawyers, Hal Uhrig and Craig Sonner. Hannity, who said on his show Tuesday night that he's been pursuing a Zimmerman interview for weeks, said he was contacted Monday by a man he believes was Zimmerman.

"He reached out to me, we spoke on the phone about his case and I agreed not to report on the contents of that conversation," Hannity said.

On his radio show Monday, Hannity said he had confirmed that Zimmerman was a mentor to minority children. "Now, if you were racist, I don't think you'd be a mentor to minority children," he said.

With Uhrig and Sonner present, Hannity last week on Fox interviewed Zimmerman's father, Robert. Robert Zimmerman's face was concealed during the interview.

During the interview, Hannity told Zimmerman that "I would argue there has been a rush to judgment." He cited statements made by political and civil rights leaders about the shooting being racially motivated —

George Zimmerman's father is white and his mother Hispanic — and mentioned President Barack Obama's comment that if he had a son, he would likely look like Trayvon.

Zimmerman's father said he agreed. "I just believe it's very sad that so many people are not telling the truth for their own agenda," he said.

During the interview, Zimmerman's father said he had never heard his son utter a racial slur and, prompted by Hannity, recalled a time when his son helped a black homeless man.

Hannity also devoted a portion of his show Tuesday to discussing a report that the New Black Panther Party had put a bounty on George Zimmerman's head.

There was no progress to report Wednesday on Hannity's attempt to get a George Zimmerman interview, according to Fox.

Cable news networks had sharply different appetites for the case, according to research by the Project for Excellence in Journalism. From March 19 to 28, MSNBC — where the prime-time hosts are liberal — the network devoted 49 percent of its on-air time to the Martin story. During the same period at Fox, where the prime-time hosts are conservative, 15 percent of the news hole was spent on the case. It was 40 percent at CNN.

On March 26, for example, MSNBC carried 14 minutes of a mid-afternoon news conference by Martin's parents live and uninterrupted by commercials, the project said. CNN aired the news conference for a little more than five minutes. Fox didn't mention the story at all in that hour, the Excellence Project reported.

The topics that drew the most attention about the case on MSNBC concerned gun control and Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law, the project said. On Fox, the most time spent was on Martin's background and statements in defense of Zimmerman.

Associated Press writers Kyle Hightower in Sanford, Fla., and Brendan Farrington in Tallahassee contributed to this report.
