Amiri Baraka Passes Away!

File:Amiri Baraka.jpg
Famed poet and activist Amiri Baraka passed away.

Over the past few days, there's been talk about the New Jersey Republican governor Chris Christie and his ties to a deliberate traffic tie up at the George Washington Bridge to get revenge on the Fort Lee mayor.

While this is the talk of the nation, a famed and yes controversial poet named Amiri Baraka died on January 9, 2014. Baraka born Everett LeRoi Jones was an American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays and music criticism. He was the author of numerous books of poetry and taught at a number of universities, including the State University of New York at Buffalo and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received the PEN Open Book Award, formerly known as the Beyond Margins Award, in 2008 for Tales of the Out and the Gone.

Baraka's poetry and writing has attracted both extreme praise and condemnation. Within the African-American community, some compare him to James Baldwin and call Baraka one of the most respected and most widely published Black writers of his generation.

Others have said his work is an expression of violence, misogyny, homophobia and racism.

Baraka's brief tenure as Poet Laureate of New Jersey (2002–03), involved controversy over a public reading of his poem "Somebody Blew Up America?" and accusations of anti-semitism, and some negative attention from critics, and politicians.

Baraka read his 2001 poem on the September 11th attacks "Somebody Blew Up America?", which was criticized for anti-Semitism and attacks on public figures. Because there was no mechanism in the law to remove Baraka from the post, the position of state poet laureate was officially abolished by the State Legislature and Governor McGreevey.

Baraka collaborated with hip-hop group The Roots on the song "Something in the Way of Things (In Town)" on their 2002 album Phrenology.

He first married Hettie Cohen, with whom he had two daughters, Kellie Jones (b. 1959) and Lisa Jones (b.1961). Baraka would author an acclaimed, controversial play Dutchman, in which a white woman accosts a black man on the New York subway. The play premiered in 1964 and received the Obie Award for Best American Play in the same year.

After the assassination of Malcolm X in 1965, Baraka left his wife and their two children and moved to Harlem. Now a "black cultural nationalist," he broke away from the predominantly white Beats and became very critical of the pacifist and integrationist Civil Rights movement. His revolutionary poetry now became more controversial.

Baraka married his second wife, Sylvia Robinson, who later adopted the name Amina Baraka.

In 1967, he lectured at San Francisco State University. The year after, he was arrested in Newark for having allegedly carried an illegal weapon and resisting arrest during the 1967 Newark riots, and was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison.

Baraka's daughter Shani (Amina) with , aged 31, and her lesbian partner, Rayshon Homes, were murdered in the home of Shani's sister, Wanda Wilson Pasha, by Pasha's ex-husband, James Coleman. Prosecutors argued that Coleman shot Shani because she had helped her sister separate from her husband.

A New Jersey jury found Coleman (also known as Ibn El-Amin Pasha) guilty of murdering Shani Baraka and Rayshon Holmes, and he was sentenced to 168 years in prison for the 2003 shooting.

Amiri Baraka died on January 9, 2014, at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, after being hospitalized in the facility's intensive care unit for one month prior to his death. The cause of death was not reported initially, but it is mentioned that Baraka had a long struggle with diabetes.

Later reports indicated that he died from complications after a recent surgery.

Baraka's funeral will be held at Newark Symphony Hall on January 18, 2014.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Amiri Baraka.

NYPD IDs Baby "Hope's" Mom!

I was so young back then.

But I can vaguely remember the Baby Hope saga. I heard about this. There was a little toddler's body found in a cooler near a highway. It was a major news story back then and I guess that technology has finally determined who the mother of the child is. The New York Police are looking for her and want questions.

The summer of 1991, a little toddler who became known as "Baby Hope" was found dead in a cooler by construction workers in Manhattan, tied up and in a plastic bag. The girl, believed to have been between 3 and 5 years old, had been starved and sexually abused but was never reported missing. Now, thanks to a tip and DNA evidence, police believe they have identified the girl's mother, a law enforcement official tells the New York Times.

Police made a fresh push this summer to solve the case, putting up flyers in the neighborhood where the body was found and offering a $12,000 reward for information. The effort paid off when police received a tip from a woman who said she had spoken to a woman who said her sister had been killed.

Police acting on that tip interviewed several people and were able to confirm the identity of Baby Hope's mother, but while the case remains a murder investigation, nobody has been charged yet.

J. Cole Apologizes For Autism Diss!

File:J. Cole (DJ Zeke cropped out).jpg
J. Cole
North Carolina based rapper/singer walked back some choice words after a firestorm of outcry.

Rapper and singer J. Cole now jumps in the fray of controversy.

Reuters report that J. Cole who drew criticism for using a disparaging line about people with autism in a song lyric has apologized.

J. Cole said he had removed the line, which referred to rivals as “autistic” and “retarded,” from the song “Jodeci Freestyle.”

The single is a feature on Drake's upcoming album Nothing Was The Same (Cash Money).

It will likely be pulled off the album because of the outcry.

Now cue the lyrics.

J. Cole [bridge]:
Jodeci's back
You bitches screamin' like Jodeci's back
I call the front desk for condoms, she's sayin' they ain't got none
The way that I'm respondin', she know that we black, nigga
(Fuck you mean you ain’t got no condoms)
Jodeci's back
Fuckin' hoes like Jodeci's back
I paint pictures and flip words
Nigga woulda thought Def Poetry back

J. Cole [verse]:
Roof top, hoes turnt up
Lookin' for your bitch, bet she won't turn up
Wonder where she is, fuck could she be
She's a ho, she's a slut, she's a freak
Heard a couple niggas hatin' but them fuck niggas weak
Count a hundred thousand dollars like it sucks to be me
Ain't that what you wanted? Stuntin' on you niggas
Came in this game never frontin' on you niggas
Gave you heart and soul, stories of my pain
Feel naked cause I laid out all my glory and my shame
Caught fire just to have niggas ignore me and my flame
'Bout to burn down the house, they tryna put me in the rain, no
Fuck your list you lame niggas and doubters
I'm undoubtedly the hottest and that's just me bein' modest
Go check the numbers dummy, that's just me gettin' started
I'm artistic, you niggas is autistic, retarded
Started, hold your applause
Who gives a poker face when you jokers showed me your cards?
David and Goliath, takin' on the giants
No need for pause when I tell you my balls bigger than yours
No false gods, young Mike playin' against the Monstars
Tappin' into '94 Nas
Or that '96 Jay, or that Chronic shit, Dre
Which is really just Slim Shady, I'm silly, my pen crazy
Today I'm out in Philly, my fans waitin' for twelve hours
Just to get their dollar signed
Thoughts stream like I'm Spotifyin'
Trenchcoat flow, bottom line
To these too cool for school niggas I'm Columbine
Flow dumber than your projections
This makes twice now, I doubled what you expected, yet
Your covers keep perplexin' me
Maybe it's too complex for me
But is this 'bout skills or is this 'bout sales?
Cause either fuckin' way, man all them niggas is less to me
You legends know that we rap
Bitches screamin' like Jodeci's back

J. Cole added: “I want to educate myself more on Autism, and I’ll gladly own my mistake and serve as an example to today’s generation that there’s nothing cool about mean-spirited comments about someone with Autism.”

The comments were released on his social networking blog, DreamVillain.

“People with this disorder and their loved ones have to go through so much already, the last thing they need is to hear something as ignorant as what I said,” he continued in the post, dated July 21. “I understand.”
Entertainer Toni Braxton and her son. Her son is autistic.

J. Cole had performed the song with the rapper Drake, who has also apologized.

“This was a learning lesson for both of us, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to try to right this wrong,” Drake posted on his website on Monday.

The lyrics drew criticism from people with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

After the song was widely publicized last month, the blogger Lou Melgarejo, whose daughter has autism, asked the two artists to consider the impact of their words.

“Ultimately, you are free to say/rap/sing whatever you want,” he wrote in a post that was carried on the website of the advocacy organization Autism Speaks.

“I am just asking that you please stop insulting those who often cannot defend themselves.”

J. Cole is right. You entitled to say whatever you want in the United States. But as an entertainer, private sector worker, politician, government worker, or news reporter you must walk on egg shells when discussing controversial topics. Autism is a serious matter that creates controversial themes.

The View hired Jenny McCarthy to the roster and autism advocates are upset over this. McCarthy doesn't believe in medical treatments to prevent autism and rather rely on natural solutions. That created a firestorm.

Born Sinner was one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

It features TLC (RCA), Miguel (RCA), Nas (Def Jam), 50 Cent (Aftermath/Shady), and Kendrick Lamar (Aftermath). So far the album sold over 500,000 so far.

The album is competing with a big list of album releases.

The list includes: Magna Carta....Holy Grail (Jay-Z/Roc-A-Fella), Yeezus (Kanye West/Roc-A-Fella), I Am Not Human Being (Lil' Wayne/Cash Money), Excuse My French (French Montana/Bad Boy/Maybach Music Group/Interscope), and Hall Of Fame (Big Sean/Def Jam).

As you know that if you're not Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, and Kanye West, you're not selling as much.

Most rappers strive to success by releasing mixtapes and doing small shows instead of big events. It proved fruitful for veterans like Juicy J, 2 Chainz and Ghostface Killah. Now people are waiting on their album releases.

And now people are "stans" of rappers Nicki Minaj, Future, Waka Flocka Flame, J. Cole, Drake, Gucci Mane, will.i.am, and Young Jeezy.

You hear the chants. You buy the merchandise. You may support a political candidate they've endorsed.
The official album covers from J. Cole's Born Sinner.
You're a stan. You will do anything for the moment to meet an entertainer. Kind of creepy, but again a popular thing in the entertainment industry. That's probably why celebrity news agitators continue to thrive in an industry lacking new ideas.

Hollywood and Broadway are the reasons for music, theater, movies, radio, and television programs.

Media Matters Reveals Hypocrisy From That Guy Who Helped Obama Win!

Meet that person who is responsible for Barack Obama winning reelection.

He's no longer referred by the name as far as I am concerned. He's known as The Guy Who Helped Obama Win. He's on his daily radio program from 3pm - 6pm (EST) and his 9pm television program on Loserville.

He's the constant carnival barker who whines about Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama, and everyone who doesn't carry a Republican label to his sleeve.

He's been prone to play the "fear" card, the "race" card, and the "victim" card.

He's known to host causal conversations with extremists willing to go on his program to scream about how the evil "liberal" media is making conservatives look like idiots and racists.

He's the guy who would defend a jackass who thought he would be a cop. That jackass kills a teenager on his way home after a confrontation. That Guy gave the jackass legal advice to paint the victim as the aggressor and a typical "thug" instead of those cute pictures that the "liberal" media shows.

He's the guy caught by Media Matters for America on the NSA wiretapping scandal that he's crowing about now. It was alright then, when George W. Bush was in charge. But now that we have that "Socialist, Communist, Muslim, Apologist, Racist, Money Spending, Kenyan" Obama, it's another story.

Media Matters put together a mashup of That Guy's comments, comparing his position then and now.

Of course since this is Media Matters for America, That Guy will discuss this on his radio program. He'll whine about how they sit in their basements with underwear. He'll claim that they're trying to shut him up and his good buddies Mark Levin (Weasel Levin), King Hippo and his network Loserville.

He'll bring on that radical nut Brent Bozell (Brentbeard) and the Turd Flipper on his program to say that it's a George Soros conspiracy.

Sitting on a pile of money can make you do things. How about it?

He knows that Republican Party is his pimp.

The reason why Media Matters done that is to reveal that it's nothing more than a partisan matter when it comes down to this NSA wiretapping scandal. It's just another bone tossed to the junk food media. It's ignoring the progress of the economy. It's basically filter time for those in the kookspiracy movement.

It's just another way to line up another batch of weaker Republican candidates say if Hillary Clinton would run.

The government tracks 313 million citizens in its borders and outlying possessions. The government has to keep records in case of a major disaster or in the case of an attack.

Why are these so-called civil libertarians so worried about a program that they know nothing about?

Why are they complaining now? They weren't when it was done before during the times of 40, 41, 42 and 43. Why is this happening around 44?

It's a matter of race and intelligence. Most of these kookspiracy theorists are lacking a Master's Degree.

See what the CIA hired. They hired a contractor who had an employee with lack of education. A young mind full of crap he's clicked through outlets like Crazy Jones/PrisonPlanet and Ron Perot. Yeah, he can say "I used to love Obama" all he wants, but his actions pose a danger to the Americans who work in clandestine services.

In other words, he could have exposed CIA and NSA agents unwillingly.

London Police: Beheading Of A Man Was An Act Of Terror! [NSFW]

One of the Men Who Killed the British Soldier in Woolwich
Man with a machete decapitates a British solider.

THIS IS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC PLEASE TAKE DISCRETION WHEN READING AND/OR VIEWING THIS STORY. GRAPHIC PHOTOS COMES FROM USERS WHO UPLOADED TO BEST GORE! IT'S A CONTROVERSIAL WEBSITE THAT SHOWED THE MURDER OF THAT ASIAN MAN BY THAT NUTJOB PORN ACTOR LUKA MAGOTTA.

Conservatives are panicking over the beheading of a British solider at the hands of two Black men who were apparently Muslim extremists.

Great, now these nuts will check under their beds with loaded firearms looking for the scary Black Muslim who wants to machete their heads off. Seriously, this stuff happens in the world and yes in the western nations such as the United Kingdom and the United States.

I mean how many times has a White criminal murdered a person?

Didn't we go through Sandy Hook, Aurora, and Tucson?

How many people were beheaded in the United States? Probably a whole lot. They just end up on the local news at times. Or if they're minorities, they'll be on The Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall's website.

Didn't that New York man behead his mother a few months back?

I mean don't we all have a thrill in the kill?

Seriously the conservative agitators and those in the White supremacist shithole will find some way to paint Muslims as scary and Blacks as "natural born criminals" again. Of course, since the criminals are Black males and their Muslims, insert President Barack Obama.

My question to those reading this, why wasn't anyone there to help the man? What the hell was the person filming doing?

I mean you don't have to be a hero but damn, why film someone dying? Is it for the shock value on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter?

Are you trying to win attention from the junk food media?

There were people present! When someone is making a blood curdling scream or an attempt to scream for help, why didn't someone react to the incident?

I know the men had a machete and all, but someone could of done a call or at least a bold attempt to disarm the person. Who am I to say, I don't like to put my life in danger. But if I had to, I would!

Prime Minister David Cameron was informed about this horrible tragedy.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the victim. The name wasn't mentioned upon the death.
Beheaded British Soldier Lays Dead on the Road in Woolwich,UK
Why wasn't anyone there to help the victim? Is a picture more important than a life?
Reuters report the soldier was hacked to death by two men shouting Islamic slogans in a south London street on Wednesday, in what the government said appeared to be a terrorist attack.

A dramatic clip filmed by an onlooker just minutes after the killing showed a man with hands covered in blood, brandishing a bloodied meat cleaver and a knife.

"We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you. The only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying every day," the black man in his 20s or 30s, wearing a wool jacket and jeans and speaking with a local accent, shouted in the footage obtained by Britain's ITV news channel.

"This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

The attack was the first apparent Islamist killing in London since suicide bombers struck transport in July 2005. The capital was shocked by the bizarre scene of a killer covered in gore, declaring his motive to onlookers.

Police shot the two suspects while trying to arrest them, and the wounded men were taken into custody. No information was immediately released about the identity of the suspects, but two sources familiar with the investigation told Reuters authorities were investigating a possible link to Nigeria.

"I apologize that women had to witness that, but in our lands our women have to see the same thing. You people will never be safe. Remove your government. They don't care about you," the videotaped man said before crossing the street and speaking casually to the other attacker.

Prime Minister David Cameron cut short a visit to France to return to London and chair an emergency national security meeting.

"The police are urgently seeking the full facts about this case but there are strong indications that it is a terrorist incident," Cameron said before cutting short talks with French President Francois Hollande to return home.

"We have had these sorts of attacks before in our country and we never buckle in the face of them," he said.

The attack happened on the edge of London's sprawling Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, a south London working class district which has long-standing historic links to the military.

In signs of a backlash after the attack, more than 100 angry supporters of the English Defense League, a far-right street protest group, took to the streets, some wearing balaclavas and carrying England's red and white flag. They were contained by riot police.

Separately, two men were arrested in connection with separate attacks on mosques outside London. No one was hurt.

HELP FOR HEROS

The authorities did not immediately confirm the identity of the slain man, but a source told Reuters the man may have been a member of the military. The British government normally withholds the identities of slain servicemembers until their families are informed.

The victim was wearing a T-shirt saying "Help for Heroes", the name of a charity formed to help wounded British veterans. Britain has had troops deployed in Afghanistan since 2001 and had troops in Iraq from 2003-2009.

Before he was stabbed to death, the victim was knocked over by a blue car which then rammed into a lamppost. The attackers pounced on him in broad daylight in a busy residential street.

Witnesses said they shouted "God is greatest" in Arabic while stabbing the victim and trying to behead him.

"I am afraid it is overwhelmingly likely now to be a terrorist attack, the kind the city has seen before," London mayor Boris Johnson said. Police said in a statement late on Wednesday that the murder investigation was led by the Counter Terrorism Command, a specialist branch within the London force.

Fred Oyat, a 44-year-old local resident, said he witnessed the attack on the soldier from the window of his high-rise apartment overlooking the scene.
Casualties of Massacre in Woolwich Are Being Tended to
British law enforcement tend to the wounded.
"The victim was white," he told Reuters. "I was in my house when four shots rung out. I went to the window I saw a man lying on the ground with a lot of blood."

London was last hit by a serious militant attack in July 2005, when four young Islamists set off suicide bombs on the public transport network, killing 52 people and wounding hundreds. A similar attempted attack 2 weeks later was thwarted.

British counter-terrorism chiefs have recently warned that radicalized individuals, so-called "lone wolves" who might have had no direct contact with al Qaeda, posed as great a risk as those who plotted attacks on the lines of the 2005 bombings.

The bombing attacks on the Boston Marathon last month, which U.S. authorities blame on two brothers, have raised the profile of the "lone wolf" threat in the West. A French-Algerian gunman killed three off-duty French soldiers and four Jewish civilians on a rampage in southern France last year.

Britain's involvement in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in the past decade has often stirred anger among British Muslims and occasionally made soldiers a target at home. British police have foiled at least two major plots in which Islamist suspects were accused of planning to kill off-duty troops.

Ahmed Jama, a 26-year-old Woolwich resident, laid flowers down at the scene as a sign of respect to the families involved.

"This has nothing to do with Islam, this has nothing to do with our religion. This has nothing to do with Allah," he said "It has nothing to do with Islam. It's heartbreaking, it's heartbreaking."

I don't know if this is the aftermath or the beginning. Regardless this is not safe for work. This is considered extremely graphic and I stress discretion.

Conservative Outrage Over Obama Speaking At Historically Black College!

No duh!

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in this horrible tornado tragedy out of Oklahoma.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are attending college and high school commencements. Their presence excites the people graduating, pisses off the conservatives whenever they tell the students the hard truth of life outside the high school or college walls.

Comedian and liberal talk radio agitator Stephanie Miller along with her producer Chris Levoie were talking about the conservative outrage from the likes of That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall. They were commenting about the latest outrage from the conservative agitators on talk radio. The anger was over President Obama doing a commencement speech at the Morehouse College, a historically Black predominately men's college in Atlanta.

The president delivers his speech to the next generation of African American leaders. Just in case, you didn't know, the president is Black. And he's talking to a Black audience about the struggles to success.

First Lady Michelle Obama delivers a commencement speech at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Magnet School in Nashville. The school is named after a Black religious and cultural icon, and I am guessing the student body is Black. And she's talking to a Black and Hispanic audience about the struggles to success.

Okay, That Guy Who Helped Obama Win. Miller predicted that he would cover this. Sure enough he did.

Here's the videos of both the Obamas speaking to the future generations.

________________________________

As usual, the conservative agitators can't stomach the president telling "us Black folk" about the racism that we'll face in the institutional world.

The Weekly Standard (aka Nothing Standard) goes into the usual word vomit about the president using a "Black voice" when he talks in front of a Black crowd.

Psst, the president is Black.

In a commencement address at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, President Barack Obama recalls Jim Crow laws and racism of the 1940s and 1950s. Morehouse College is a historically black college.
In the rain, Black graduates listen to President Obama deliver a speech about how to achieve success.
"Dr. King was just 15 years old when he enrolled here at Morehouse.  He was an unknown, undersized, unassuming young freshman who lived at home with his parents.  I think it’s fair to say he wasn’t the coolest kid on campus; for the suits he wore, his classmates called him 'Tweed.'  But his education at Morehouse helped to forge the intellect, the soul force, the disciple and compassion that would transform America.  It was here that he was introduced to the writings of Gandhi, and Thoreau, and the theory of civil disobedience.  It was here that professors encouraged him to look past the world as it was and fight for the world as it should be," Obama will say, according to text provided by the White House.

What pisses off the conservatives is the "Barack Obama telling the Black crowd, there's such thing as racism in America!"

In the conservative's mind, racism doesn't exist. It's a product of Black leaders causing trouble. It's a product of liberalism which keeps "us Black folk" poor, ignorant, dependent on "gubmint" and not willing to stand up for personal responsibility.

So your experiences give you special insight that today’s leaders need.  If you tap into that experience, it should endow you with empathy – the understanding of what it’s like to walk in somebody else’s shoes.  It should give you an ability to connect.  It should give you a sense of what it means to overcome barriers.

Whatever success I achieved, whatever positions of leadership I’ve held, have depended less on Ivy League degrees or SAT scores or GPAs, and have instead been due to that sense of empathy and connection – the special obligation I felt, as a black man like you, to help those who needed it most; people who didn’t have the opportunities that I had, because but for the grace of God, I might be in their shoes.  So it’s up to you to widen your circle of your concern – to create greater justice both in your own community, but also across our country.  To make sure everyone has a voice; everyone gets a seat at the table; to make sure that everyone – no matter what they look like or where they come from, or who they love – gets a chance to walk through those doors of opportunity if they want it bad enough.

Accepting an honorary degree, President Barack Obama talks to the class of 2013.
Okay, is this the outrage the conservatives have with President Barack Obama?

Really.

The junk food media reports that the constant obsession with the Obama "scandals" will get old soon.

The Republicans and the conservative agitators are almost giddy about these scandals. There are some calling for impeachment because of this. Again making the mistake of overplaying into something.

Republicans have continued to stall bureaucracy nominees, federal judges, and legislation.

Just this week, Republicans balked at immigration reform. It's likely Republicans won't support the full package no matter what the immigration reform has. They don't want any inserts of LGBT immigrants or "amnesty". So the Democrats quickly stripped it out of session and the immigration bill continues to move forward.

The Republicans are ignoring the polls. A Public Policy Polling survey released last week found that a majority of voters said Congress had better things to do, like pass immigration reform and gun background check bills, than continue focusing on Benghazi. And that was even after a much-ballyhooed "whistle-blower" hearing into the matter.
That Guy Who Helped Obama Win continues on this fixation with the president speech to the Black community. His motives are to spook the White audience of his radio and television programs. And on occasions his Black conservative audience too.
So the president tells a Black college about the struggles of the world. He tells them that if you're to achieve the goals of success, you have to work twice as hard. The first lady says the same. With a congress wasting their time on Benghazi, the IRS and the Associated Press, instead of jobs, unemployment and infrastructure, then there's a reason for the president to tell a Black college to work extra hard. Extra hard to get the U.S. Congress to do something to help the American people.

Conservatives are screaming that the president is being "racist" for "telling us Black folk" about conservatives  being those evil "white racists".

The Guy Who Helped Obama Win is on a never-ending whinefest about the "anointed one" being hurtful to Black leaders.

No matter what President Barack Obama does, this guy, the Republican Party and the conservative agitators will complain, whine and even goes as far to saying racial slurs to show their dissatisfaction with him.

Pew: You Black Folk, Lie, Cheat And Steal Elections!

Polling company generates talking point about high Black turnout. Republicans continue to discredit Black voters as race obsessed and "gubmint" dependents.

The Pew Research Poll which is one of the many polls that got it wrong on the election made a shocking theme to the rise in the Black voter participation and the high turnout in last year's election.

For the first time in American history, the Black voter turnout surpassed the White voter turnout.

What helped President Barack Obama succeed in trouncing that perennial loser Mitt Romney, was the non-White vote. That means it was a heavy turnout of Black and Hispanic voters.

The Republicans publicity tour is to regain what little they've had in minority support. They haven't tried nor succeeded in dealing with issues facing Black America.

All the Republicans done was say Benghazi, Obama witch hunts and Obama phones.

Of course, these issues haven't put food on the plate. With the rising cost of food, fuel and heating oil, many Americans are turning to food banks and food stamp assistance. The Republicans want to cut entitlements and severely dent the safety nets because they're obsessed with watching videos from Loserville or the links from The Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall.

These issues don't help Black and Hispanic Americans find work. Yet, the Republican Party complains constantly about how high Black unemployment is overwhelmingly high and they haven't passed one law that benefits.

These issues that the Republicans are harping on doesn't benefit in the area of interest of Black America or the general public.

These issues only achieve short term success among the ever so annoying right wing agitators from the talk radio and blog circuit. Continuously denying reality, conservatives are rallying for President Barack Obama's impending "impeachment" over these controversies.

By the Republicans taking the bait on these "scandals", they're reckoning with the loss of a voting block.

The Hispanic vote is very important as the Black voter. The Black voter is probably a permanent voting block for the Democratic Party. The Democrats are working hard to pass immigration reform. The Republicans are trying to push even more intrusive laws to stop Blacks from voting, undocumented workers from achieving citizenship, and LGBT community from marriage. They want to get into a woman's legs to prevent abortions. But yet when a woman has many children out of wedlock, the Republicans call them "gubmint" dependents and sluts.

Pew Research Center produced the talking points to those condescending White Republicans and their Black conservatives allies. They wrote that the Black vote could have been overwhelming due to inconsistencies in the highly populated Black areas.

The Census Bureau made big news last week when it reported that the black voter turnout rate (66.2%) exceeded the white voter turnout rate (64.1%) for the first time ever in 2012. But a closer look at the numbers raises some intriguing questions.
Valued and never taken for granted.
It’s possible that the lines may have first crossed in 2008. But it’s also possible they may not have crossed at all.

Let’s start with the second scenario. It’s based on data that suggest that last year, blacks may have been more inclined than whites to report that they voted when in fact they didn't. This is known as a “social desirability bias,” a familiar concern among survey researchers.

So they're saying "social desirability bias". Meaning that Blacks turnout because they were inspired to have the first Black president. Yeah, that's true.

Never in history, you would see such a turnout for the Black candidate. There have been many Black politicos who would run for president and never achieve the goal of being the nominee of a national ticket.

Only Barack Obama managed to beat back Hillary Clinton, a heavily favored Democratic candidate to become the nominee and eventually the president. Clinton being a face familiar in the White House as the former first lady, and later U.S. senator had huge Black support.

Until the Iowa caucuses, Clinton had almost 80% of the Black vote. But when Obama won the Iowa caucus, many Blacks started to notice. Obama managed to pull in Black voters after South Carolina win. Since then, the Obama campaign made it a top priority to help first time Black voters turnout for him. And in 2012, he to keep his supporters rallied up, despite pessimism.

Pew stated: [Might this be] because non-voting blacks were more eager than non-voting whites to tell survey takers that they voted for the first ever African-American president? While there’s no way of knowing for sure, the data are suggestive. When we plotted the state discrepancies in 2008 and 2004, we found a similar pattern, but we also found the racial skew was stronger in 2008 and 2012, the two elections in which Obama was on the ballot, than in 2004.

To better understand these patterns, we computed a “correlation coefficient,” which measures the relationship between two phenomena of interest—in this case, the over reporting of turnout in a state (the difference between the estimated and official voter turnout rates) and the share of a state’s adult population that is black. Our analysis finds a positive correlation of .52 (on a scale of -1 to 1) in 2012, .54 in 2008 and .41 in 2004. If we remove the two biggest outliers in the scatter plot analysis—Mississippi and Washington—the overall correlation remains positive, but it is only about half as large.

It’s also important to note that some states with small black populations over-reported, while a few states with large black populations under-reported. For example, the Census Bureau estimated that New Mexico’s voter turnout rate was 61.6%, compared with the official tally of 55%. New Mexico has a small share of blacks (2.7%) in its voting eligible population. On the other hand, the Census Bureau findings from Maryland, which has an age-eligible electorate that is 29% black, suggest that respondents under-reported their turnout by 2.5 percentage points.

Finally, it is also worth noting that just because voting was more widely over-reported in states with higher African-American populations, there is no way of knowing if blacks or non-blacks were more likely to over-report. This correlation is intriguing, but not definitive. In addition, one should keep in mind that the Census Bureau’s findings from individual states are subject to margins of error that may account for some of the apparent discrepancies in estimated and actual turnout rates.

Bottom line: This analysis doesn’t prove the Census Bureau’s finding is wrong. Nor does it negate the long-term turnout trends, which show that black turnout has been rising since 1996. It may, however, merit an asterisk alongside the claim that blacks turned out at a higher rate than whites in 2012.
Black conservatives constant whine about President Obama not caring about the Black community.
But wait, what about the first scenario—the possibility  that this milestone actually occurred in 2008, not 2012?

That assessment is based an analysis that removes from the pool of eligible voters all adults who have been disenfranchised as a result of felony convictions, something the Census Bureau does not (and cannot) do. According to the Sentencing Project, an advocacy group, nearly 6 million adults are ineligible to vote for that reason, a disproportionate share of who are black. If you recalculate turnout rates after removing those disenfranchised voters, then 68.5% of eligible blacks voted in 2008, compared with 67% of eligible whites, according to Bernard L. Fraga, a political scientist studying at Harvard. The Census Bureau, by contrast, had 66.1% of whites voting that year, compared with 64.7% of blacks.

So pick your data source and write your own history

No Pew, you get this straight, for over 50 years, the Black community fought their asses off to vote.

I mean Republicans aren't the NEW BLACK.

We just need to take a chill and understand that we are American too. We're not second class citizens those in the conservative/white supremacist bubble made us out to be.

We just broke the color barrier. The first Black president in modern history. No one would expect this could happen this fast. Right into the 2000s, our first Black president. Yeah, there's a monumental significance in the Black community. No doubt about it. But to discredit the high turnout to just "us Black folk" voting on race is another reason why there's no place for Black people in the Republican Party.

So take your statistics and condescending rhetoric and sample polls somewhere else!

We don't believe you and we'll keep proving you wrong.

Tupac Shakur's Aunt Is A Wanted Woman!

Assata Shakur is placed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists.

This week the FBI announced that the aunt of Tupac Shakur is added to the list of most wanted terrorists.

Assata Shakur (aka Joanne Chesimard) is wanted for escaping from prison in Clinton, New Jersey, while serving a life sentence for murder. On May 2, 1973, Shakur, who was part of a revolutionary extremist organization known as the Black Liberation Army, and two accomplices were stopped for a motor vehicle violation on the New Jersey Turnpike by two troopers with the New Jersey State Police. At the time, Shakur was wanted for her involvement in several felonies, including bank robbery.

Shakur and her accomplices opened fire on the troopers. One trooper was wounded and the other was shot and killed execution-style at point-blank range. Shakur fled the scene, but was subsequently apprehended. One of her accomplices was killed in the shoot-out and the other was also apprehended and remains in jail.

In 1977, Shakur was found guilty of first degree murder, assault and battery of a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to kill, illegal possession of a weapon, and armed robbery.

She was sentenced to life in prison.

On November 2, 1979, Shakur escaped from prison and lived underground before being located in Cuba in 1984. She is thought to currently still be living in Cuba.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000,000 for information directly leading to the apprehension of Shakur.

Chesimard was a member of the Black Panther Party (BPP) and Black Liberation Army (BLA). Between 1971 and 1973, she was accused of several crimes and made the subject of a multi-state manhunt.

Shakur fled to the island nation of Cuba by 1984; in that year she was granted political asylum in that country.

The Cuban government pays approximately $13 a day toward her living expenses.

In 1985 she was reunited with her daughter, Kakuya, who had previously been raised by Shakur's mother in New York.

She published Assata: An Autobiography, which was written in Cuba, in 1987. Her autobiography has been cited in relation to critical legal studies  and critical race theory. The book does not give a detailed account of the events on the New Jersey Turnpike, except saying that the jury "Convicted a woman with her hands up!" The book was published by Lawrence Hill & Company in the United States and Canada but the copyright is held by Zed Books Ltd. of London due to "Son of Sam" laws, which restrict who can receive profits from a book.

Mugshot in 1973.
In the six months prior to the publications of the book, Evelyn Williams, Shakur's aunt and attorney, made several trips to Cuba and served as a go-between with Hill.

In 1993, she published a second book, Still Black, Still Strong, with Dhoruba bin Wahad and Mumia Abu-Jamal. Shakur's writings have been widely circulated on the Internet. For example, the largely Internet-based "Hands Off Assata!" campaign is coordinated by Chicago-area Black Radical Congress activists.

As early as 1998, Shakur has referred to herself as a "20th century escaped slave."

In the same open letter, Shakur calls Cuba "One of the Largest, Most Resistant and Most Courageous Palenques (Maroon Camps) that has ever existed on the Face of this Planet."

Shakur is also known to have worked as an English-language editor for Radio Havana Cuba.

Obviously, the FBI has been tipped about the whereabouts of Shakur. They're counting the days for her to make a simple mistake in her movement. Because the moment she does, Ms. Shakur is caught and brought to the United States.

This is the first time in history a woman was placed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist list.

Drudge Misleads Headline About Income Inequality!

I for one am getting tired of The Guy Who Throws Shit On The Wall and his conservative agitating.

He's entitled to attract his rabid base of WHITE EXTREMISTS and misinformed readers with his website.

Most of the Republican Party takes marching orders from him, the folks over at Loserville, King Hippo, Chalk E Becker, and now Crazy Jones. It's no secret that a handful of Republican politicos are drafting legislation based off these highly paid luntics of the junk food media.

While they're screaming that the media is in the tank for President Barack Obama, their gullible audience continues to shell out dollars for books, events, and products endorsements.

To put this in simple words: We'll scream so much and yes, we've gotten very wealthy by doing it!

In the link, the New York Times tells a tale of income inequality between two common groups Republicans rather see in the iron college instead of the voting booths.

The median income for Blacks and Hispanics have taken a nosedive for over 50 years. Further than we thought though. In the age of Barack Obama, many Republicans and their conservative/White supremacists allies believe the minorities are "brainwashed" into supporting the president because he's a "brotha".

The New York Times cited a study from the Urban Institute saying that White families make an average of $2 for every Blacks and Hispanics that makes $1. This situation has been around for 30 years.

Newsflash, Ronald Reagan was the president back then.

The title is misleading for one thing. It's not true.

One thing about the U.S. Congress these days, they're not popular. Right now, the Kardashians are slightly more likable than members of Congress.

Since the background check vote failed, members of the U.S. Senate who voted against it have taken nosedive in popularity. Republicans and Democrats who voted against gun control really are paying a price.

This inequality gap that stiffed Black and Hispanic families continue to reign because of lawmakers failing to do their part to their constituents. Gerrymandering and lack of knowledge continues to elect these politicos back to Washington. Despite their commitment to helping their country by making progress, our politicos are really more interested in helping their friends, family and allies instead of you and me.

That link will give those in the junk food media and the conservative/White supremacist bubble a "told you so moment!" They will waste no time trying to tie every economic woe to the president.

The president released a budget bill that Republicans refuse support. The president's job bill died in 112th Congress. This wasn't moving the Republicans in the House and the Senate passed it only to have it watered down because of conservative Democrats phobias of a Republican insurgency.

The low approved Congress managed to stall the immediate cuts by the Federal Aviation Administration.

They realized that the cuts were hurting their travel by air. They quickly passed legislation and the president signed into law. The president grumbled about this and told the American people that if we're elected to do a job, why are we not working to get things done?

The point of the income inequality started when Whites left the urban areas for the suburbs. Why buy in the city when there's malls, hospitals and parks in the suburbs?

I've heard White friends say they avoid going to the city because of some perceived phobia they've watched on the local news or from experience of friends or family members living there.

The Urban Institute concluded that when it comes to wealth — as measured by assets, like cash savings, homes and retirement accounts, minus debts, like mortgages and credit card balances — white families have far outpaced black and Hispanic ones. Before the recession, non-Hispanic white families, on average, were about four times as wealthy as nonwhite families, according to the Urban Institute’s analysis of Federal Reserve data. By 2010, whites were about six times as wealthy.

The dollar value of that gap has grown, as well. By the most recent data, the average white family had about $632,000 in wealth, versus $98,000 for black families and $110,000 for Hispanic families.

“The racial wealth gap is deeply rooted in our society,” said Caroline Ratcliffe, one of the authors of the Urban Institute study. “It’s here, it’s not going away, and we need to care about it.”

Many experts consider the wealth gap to be more pernicious than the income gap, as it perpetuates from generation to generation and has a powerful effect on economic security and mobility. Young black people are much less likely than young white people to receive a large sum from their parents or other relatives to pay for college, start a business or make a down payment on a home, for instance. That, in turn, makes their wealth-building prospects shakier as they move into adulthood.

Two major factors helped to widen this wealth gap in recent years. The first is that the housing downturn hit black and Hispanic households harder than it hit white households, in aggregate. Many young Hispanic families, for instance, bought homes as the housing bubble was inflating and reaching its peak, leaving them saddled with heavy debt burdens as house prices plunged in places like suburban Phoenix and inland California.

Black families also were hit disproportionately by the housing collapse, because heading into the recession housing constituted a higher proportion of their wealth than for white families, leaving them more exposed when the market crashed. Higher unemployment rates and lower incomes among blacks left them less able to keep paying their mortgages and more likely to lose their homes, experts said.

Discriminatory lending practices were also a factor. “We know that communities of color, their rate of subprime or predatory loans was twice what it is in the overall population,” said Tom Shapiro, the director of the Institute on Assets and Social Policy at Brandeis University.

Black families also suffered bigger hits to their retirement savings, the Urban Institute found. On aggregate, the value of black families’ retirement accounts shrank 35 percent between 2007 and 2010, while white families’ accounts actually gained 9 percent over the same period. With lower earnings and higher unemployment rates leaving them with a thinner safety net to begin with, black families were more likely to take funds out of the market when it was depressed, leaving them out in the cold as the market recovered.

“That reservoir of what you can dig into for emergencies and contingencies is a lot shallower in communities of color,” Professor Shapiro said. “That pushes black families to sling off assets, like I.R.A.’s or stocks, that you might have had another goal in mind for.”

The Guy Who Throws Shit On The Wall tweets a picture with former Bill Clinton nemesis (alleged mistress) Paula Jones. They were spotted at the 2013 White House Correspondents Dinner.
Something similar may be happening as the housing recovery takes hold. “Some people talk about it in terms of a land grab,” said Professor Hamilton of the New School, as mainly white investors are buying foreclosed homes from disproportionately minority owners. “As the housing market starts to appreciate, some of those minority buyers might not be back.”

All in all, Hispanic families lost 44 percent of their wealth between 2007 and 2010, the Urban Institute estimates, and black families lost 31 percent. White families, by comparison, lost 11 percent of their wealth. The economic turbulence worsened a gap that has persisted for as long as social scientists have measured it, and has its roots in institutional racism, they said, which, for instance, prevented black Americans from benefiting fully from the G.I. Bill back in the 1940s and 1950s.

The Urban Institute study looked at mean wealth figures, where a small number of high-net-worth families skews the averages upward. Median wealth figures — where half of households have more wealth and half less — produces lower numbers, but the trends are the same, the Urban Institute researchers said.

Even if blacks and Hispanics make progress in the years ahead as the economy improves, the persistence of the wealth gap has pushed many public policy scholars to recommend the adoption of more ambitious programs to help reduce worsening inequality.

The Urban Institute suggests reforming government policies that encourage savings but disproportionately benefit the already wealthy and families with high incomes, like the home mortgage interest deduction. Automatic savings vehicles also might help lower-income and lower-wealth families start saving, it said.

Professor Hamilton has proposed “baby bonds,” granting savings accounts to infants, seeded with funds that allocate greater sums to families with less wealth. (Such accounts would be race-blind, Professor Hamilton emphasized.) Accountholders could tap that money as young adults, to pay for college or start a business.

“That’s really going to break the link of intergenerational poverty, and the intergenerational wealth gap,” Professor Hamilton argued.

But in the absence of such far-reaching measures, scholars and advocates remain generally pessimistic that the wealth gap will narrow even as members of minority groups increase their share of the American work force.

“The growth in the wealth divide is going to be very hard to close,” said Dedrick Muhammad, the senior director of the economic department at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the civil rights organization. “I don’t have a positive feeling about racial wealth inequality resolving itself with the recovery.”

Return Of The Obama Phone!

President Barack Obama may have to continue his campaign for change throughout his second term.

Let's continue down the path to defeat by putting out another pointless debate over things that have nothing to do with the economy!

I seriously think that Frank Luntz has a point on one thing! In a Mother Jones article, the conservative agitator who spins talking points for the Republican Party talked to a bunch of young voters at a College Republican retreat.

Luntz believes that the conservative talk radio market has been very successful in ratings, however it's destroying the Republican Party in the elections.

The immigration reform blitz that Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida) pushed upon the King Hippo and Weasel Levin wasn't moving the needle among the right wing faithful. The right wing agitators can't stomach immigration reform. They believe that it's granting amnesty to undocumented workers and their families.

The talk about immigration reform is on the ropes after the Boston Marathon bombings. The conservative wing of the U.S. Senate is trying to slow down the progress made because they're feeling the need to be "border hawks" and "isolationists".

They want to use the U.S. Constitution only when it applies to their extreme agenda.

Instead of trying to understand the issue of immigration reform, they evoked fear and hatred of those who aren't like them.

Now let's rehash the old meme of the Obama Phone! Once again proving that there support of the conservative junk food media is mutual.
He's still bitching!
If you've got the opportunity to listen to the conservative agitators in the junk food media get riled up about the Government Phone Program, then you're missing much!

They're worked up over the program granting the underclass an opportunity to have a free cell phone in case of an emergency

The official website for FreeGovernmentPhones say that ever since Barack Obama was inaugurated, the term “The Obama Phone” has persisted. People say Obama is redistributing the wealth by starting a program that gives free cell phones – Obama phones – to the poor. Detractors of both President Obama and of the government’s long-standing phone assistance program have fought over this claim since 2009 with each side mudslinging “facts” at each other.

Well this hasn't stopped among those "mudslingers" in the junk food media.

Hence the video that got those in the conservative/white supremacist bubble riled up.

This video went viral and it's was spread through the conservative/white supremacists blogs and junk food media shows.

Unfortunately, it didn't help the perennial loser Mitt Romney move votes. It only hurt him, badly among the middle class. It's was another lame attempt to race-bait those old White bigots into fearing the evil Black "welfare queen sheboon" who wants her stake in the "gubmint's gibbs mes!"
The scary Black lady who riled up conservatives.
The Politico tries to tear through the bullshit with no avail. The report tells a tale of Republicans and some conservative Democrats threats of ending the program because they're upset over the "welfare queen" talking about how she's got her free "Obama Phone!"

Lifeline, the controversial phone subsidy program that snagged attention during the first Obama administration, has landed back in the spotlight. Critics then accused the White House of dishing out free cellphones to the poor. Now they’re questioning whether reforms put in place by the Federal Communications Commission to tackle rampant misuse will actually work.

A Republican-led House bill with 42 co-sponsors would nearly gut the federal program. An amendment in the recent Senate budget debate tried to eliminate funding entirely. And a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing Thursday will dissect its worth.

Lifeline gives telecommunications providers a subsidy to offset the cost of phone service for customers with low income. The program ensures everyone has access to emergency services and jobs.

The Republican Party who still trying to win over the middle class and the non-White majority will once again throw away votes.

They're throwing away opportunities to win over voters. They're floating on a sinking ship. And if they continue on, they'll lose more elections.

It's not worth my time to argue with idiots! The keyboard warrior has to be older than me, stuck in their ways! The warrior has to be a White male and probably a conservative that harbors bigoted views towards someone's race gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, language, political or economic standings.

By the way, since these people assume it's mostly Black people who stay on welfare and government entitlements, I want to address this.

When Blacks become a majority of the country's population, then it's safe to say Blacks are racists! Until then, it's the White conservative male and his uncanny support of the Republican Party who promote themselves as the racist.

Richie Havens Passes Away!

Songs of Freedom.

Richard Pierce "Richie" Havens (January 21, 1941 – April 22, 2013) was an American folk singer and guitarist. He is best known for his intense and rhythmic guitar style (often in open tunings), soulful covers of pop and folk songs, and his opening performance at the 1969 Woodstock Festival.

Richie Havens, who marshaled a craggy voice, a percussive guitar and a soulful sensibility to play his way into musical immortality at Woodstock in 1969, improvising the song “Freedom” on the fly, died on Monday at his home in Jersey City. He was 72.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Richie Havens.

The New York Times gives a tribute to the legendary folk singer who brought peace and harmony to a bunch of young blossoms who now became either our parents or grandparents.

For the baby-boomer generation, he will live forever on the stage of the Woodstock festival, which he had the honor to open because the folk-rock band Sweetwater, the scheduled opening act, was stuck in traffic. Mr. Havens and his guitarist and drummer arrived by helicopter. They had been scheduled to go on fifth.

Mr. Havens started with “Minstrel From Gault” a few minutes after 5 p.m. on Aug. 15, 1969. He was originally supposed to play four songs, but other performers were late, so he played on. He later said he thought he had played for two hours and 45 minutes, but two bands followed him before sunset, around 8 p.m., so that was impossible.

But Mr. Havens played 10 songs, including Beatles songs. His impassioned improvisation was pitch perfect for the generation watching him, most of whom saw it later in a documentary on the festival. His clarion encore “Freedom” — made up on the spot and interspersed with the spiritual “Motherless Child” — sounded a powerful if wistful note.

“ ‘Freedom’ came from a totally spontaneous place,” Mr. Havens said.

Richard Pierce Havens was born on Jan. 21, 1941, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, where he grew up. He was the eldest of nine children. His father made Formica tables for a living and played piano with various bands. His mother worked for a bookbindery.

He began singing with street-corner doo-wop groups when he was about 12. At 14 he joined the McCrea Gospel Singers. He was recruited by a street gang, and he dropped out of high school. He spent the rest of his life educating himself, and was proud of the results.

Gay Marriage Got The Republicans Split!

Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) is against gay marriage. But his wife Cindy and daughter Meghan are in favor of it.

Guns don't split the Republican Party. It's those wicked homosexuals who kiss in front of their children.

Republicans hope the majority conservative wing of the Supreme Court would rule that gay marriage is illegal. Court insiders are watching for the swings from Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Anthony Kennedy. After last year's debate over the legality of Obamacare, many Americans are biting nails on a landmark decision. Legalization of gay marriage concludes the fight for civil and equal rights.

Gay marriage moves the country forward.

The Supreme Court is about to hear the case of Prop 8, a discriminatory law that banned the same sex couples of California from being legally married.

California has a huge LGBT population and many there want the right to marry like straight couples.

A majority of states banned gay marriage. California voters endorsed the ban on gay marriage in 2008. The case was heard in federal court and both sides equally won. Now the last appeal goes to the Supreme Court.

Already over nine states legalized the right to marry for gay couples. Gay marriage is becoming popular in the United States. By a slight margin, gay marriage is approved by the general public. Those who are 18 to 39 favor gay marriage by an overwhelming margin.

The Republican Party is still rigid on gay marriage. They believe that if the country allows gay marriage, then it open the door for people marrying animals and non-human objects.

There are some Republicans who are breaking the ice on gay marriage. This month, the first elected Republican politician came out in support of gay marriage. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) acknowledged that his son is gay.

Having a family member come out changed Portman's mind and also rattled the Republicans.

Now many other Republicans and conservative activists are showing support for gay marriage.

Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) is against gay marriage. His daughter Meghan McCain and his wife Cindy McCain support gay marriage. Meghan McCain is a liberal Republican who is a fixture on MSNBC. She writes for The Daily Beast and her own professional blog. Former campaign adviser Nicole Wallace, and former Bush lawyer Ted Olsen are notable Republicans who came in support of gay marriage.

But so far, the needle hasn't moved with the general party. Republicans, Westboro Baptist Church, Pat Robertson, the Family Research Council, Focus on the Family and National Organization for Marriage are determined to fight against the legalization of gay marriage.

This month's CPAC banned gay Republicans from attending festivities. It irked MSNBC's conservative agitator S.E. Cupp. She turned down an invitation to attend the event.

Republicans are searching for the big tent. The Republican Party is 90% WHITE and 10% other.

It's the party that's similar to cocaine. Cocaine is mostly white.

The Republican Party has trouble courting young voters. It has trouble courting Black, Hispanic and Asian voters. The party already lost the Black and Islamic vote.

Listening to conservative agitators call themselves the "Pro-Family, Pro-Marriage and Pro-Life" party is funny!

They support death of criminals, banning gays from marrying, and want children to become obese.

If they dropped the act and say they're bigots, maybe the world would agree with them.

The Republican Party as of right now is considered the enemy of progress. They're seen as the party of stuffy old men. They can't get over the fact that our country is moving forward. They're still living in a long and forgotten era.

It's time to put away the Ronald Reagan nostalgia. It's time to move past the hate and the division. President Barack Obama is the future of progress. Republicans are so far behind and it may be their undoing.

Give the LGBT community the right to marry. They're not hurting anyone!

K.C. Mayor Upstaged By Ignorant Black Constituent!

Man makes himself the news when he jumped the stage during a State of the City Address by Kansas City mayor Sly James. The protester Derron Black is a perennial candidate who lost many races. But this week's outburst may help put him with those in the Tea Party Movement. He needs advice from Congressman Joe Wilson (R-South Carolina).

Kansas City, Missouri is the largest city in the state. It's population is 472,000 and it's growing. The city covers four counties and the neighboring sister Kansas City, Kansas. The region covers the western end of Missouri and portions of eastern Kansas.

The city is home of the Kansas City Royals baseball team and Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL team still grieving over the horrible decision made by Jovan Belcher, a teammate who killed his former girlfriend and then himself.

The city is famous for barbecue, jazz, blues and the beautiful landscapes. And you can add an ignorant Black man to the city's fame.

Well today, it's reported that mayor Sly James was rattled by an angry constituent.

The mainstream media was taken back by the abrupt interruption by the man who knocked down the flagpole and stole the microphone.

He managed to get a few swears in before he was taken down by security.

The man who allegedly disrupted Kansas City Mayor Sly James’ State of the City speech on Tuesday was charged Wednesday with two misdemeanors.

Derron Black's mugshot from the lockup!
The Kansas City Star reports that Derron L. Black, 31, was charged with third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and with obstructing government operations, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

As the mayor was giving his speech before an audience of about 250 people at the Gem Theater, a man went on stage and commandeered the microphone. The court file alleges that when the mayor’s police-provided bodyguard, Marlon Buie, grabbed him, Black resisted Buie by punching and swinging his arms.

Buie suffered a cut on his neck and bruising on his arm. He was treated at North Kansas City Hospital on Tuesday.

Black posted bond on Wednesday and was released from jail. He could not be reached for comment.

According to the court record, Black acknowledged in a statement to police that he interrupted the mayor by throwing a flag to the floor and yelling obscenities.

On Tuesday night, a statement was posted on YouTube that purported to be an apology from Black.

“This is Derron Black,” the audio segment said, adding that he was in the jail at police headquarters. “I’m just reflecting on all today’s events, and I would just like to apologize to all my fellow Kansas Citians for being disrespectful and disruptive today.”

The statement went on to challenge James “about the true reality of the condition of the people east of Troost or just throughout Kansas City in general.”

The mayor was not harmed and went on to finish his speech, which tried to highlight progress in the city over the past year.

Black was an unsuccessful candidate last year for a seat representing Missouri House District 23.

Ohio Teens Found Guilty In Rape! [NSFW]

Their futures are ruined by this incident. A reminder to all men, young and old: RAPE IS RAPE!

The rust belt city of Steubenville, Ohio is the center of a national story.

A reminder to those reading, we advise that you take discretion in reading this.  A party in the city with teens being drunk on stupidity led to a young girl being raped by two star football players.

The individuals were found guilty in this incident.

This controversy attracted worldwide attention after Anonymous, the hacktivist group unearth the social media of those involved in this sexual assault.

Also what this attracts is conservative ire and White supremacists. The fact that one of the accused is Black and the young girl is white will certainly rile these extremists up!

This would lit up their forums with ugly racial slurs, word vomits about Black on White crime, and of course an Obama name drop! This will be a reason for these extremists to paint Blacks as sex crazed NIGGERS who voted for that MUSLIM SOCIALIST WHO DISGRACED THIS COUNTRY with his GUBMINT GIVEAWAYS.

The conservative/white supremacist bubble will name drop Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Trayvon Martin in their word vomits.

White supremacists already label Black people as "animals", who obsess with their women.

They can't figure out who's more at fault for the rape, the Black man or President Barack Obama!

This incident advocated online activism about corruption. The social media is a tool to help people connect. So far this year, Facebook surpassed over 1.3 billion in registered members. The social network is also a tool for the most controversial things. It's why most people work in education, the media, government, and private sector warns their employees not to engage in matters that may land them in the unemployment line.

Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter are the most popular social networks in the country. They've entertained, angered and inspired many. But unfortunately, they can make people do the most stupidest things.

The two involved in this rape, Trent Mays and Ma'lik Richmond are going to be sentenced soon for their involvement in this. The iron college will not be kind to these two. If they go to the iron college for adults, they'll be bait for the mentally disturbed who love the fresh meat.

Their futures are permanently ruined by this.
The picture that set the world ablaze. Trent Mays and Ma'lik Richmond  were pictured with the victim.

As soon as they get out of the iron college, they'll be registered as sexual offenders.

Their participation in the alleged sexual assault of the young girl shows that their behavior was reckless and they should have left the drunk girl alone. They didn't think!

They'll be thinking about it while sitting in the iron college.

Many are seeking to put these guys in prison for life.

The Associated Press reports that Steubenville High School students Trent Mays and Ma'Lik Richmond were sentenced to at least a year in juvenile jail, capping a case that came to light via a barrage of morning-after text messages, social media posts and online photos and video. Mays was sentenced to an additional year in jail on a charge of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, to be served after his rape sentence is completed.

The two teens broke down in tears after the verdict was read and later apologized to the victim. Both were emotional as they spoke, and Richmond began sobbing so heavily that he bent over and had to be helped back to his seat. Richmond's father, Nathaniel, also asked that the victim's family "forgive Malik and Trent for the pain they put you through."

Mays, 17, and Richmond, 16, were charged with digitally penetrating the West Virginia girl, first in the back seat of a moving car after an alcohol-fueled party on Aug. 11, and then in the basement of a house.

The case roiled the community amid allegations that more students should have been charged — accusations that Ohio's attorney general pledged to look into — and led to questions from a much wider audience online about the influence of the local football team, a source of a pride in a community of 18,000 that suffered massive job losses with the collapse of the steel industry.

Protesters who sought guilty verdicts stood outside the courthouse Sunday morning, their arms linked, some wearing masks. Later, prosecutor Marianne Hemmeter criticized the efforts by the hacker collective Anonymous to publicize the case, saying the extra attention led to a chilling effect on those willing to testify.
Disturbing pictures of the victim circulated on the internet because these idiots took pictures and posted them online.
The trial opened last week as a contest between prosecutors determined to show the girl was so drunk she couldn't have been a willing participant that night, and defense attorneys soliciting testimony from witnesses that would indicate that the girl, though drunk, knew what she was doing.

The teenage girl testified Saturday that she could not recall what happened the night of the attack but remembered waking up naked in a strange house after drinking at a party. The girl said she recalled drinking, leaving the party holding hands with Mays and throwing up later. When she woke up, she said she discovered her phone, earrings, shoes and underwear were missing, she testified.

"It was really scary," she said. "I honestly did not know what to think because I could not remember anything."

The girl said she believed she was assaulted when she later read text messages among friends and saw a photo of herself taken that night, along with a video that made fun of her and the alleged attack. She said she suspected she had been drugged because she couldn't explain being as intoxicated as defense witnesses have said she was.

"They treated her like a toy," said special prosecutor Marianne Hemmeter.

Evidence introduced at the trial included graphic text messages sent by numerous students after the night of the party, including by the accuser, containing provocative descriptions of sex acts and obscene language.

Lawyers noted during the trial how texts have seemed to replace talking on the phone for contemporary teens. A computer forensic expert called by the state documented tens of thousands of texts found on 17 phones seized during the investigation.
Anonymous had a huge role in getting this story out there!
In sentencing the boys, Judge Thomas Lipps urged everyone who had witnessed what happened in the case, including parents, "to have discussions about how you talk to your friends, how you record things on the social media so prevalent today and how you conduct yourself when drinking is put upon you by your friends."

The girl herself recalled being in a car later with Mays and Richmond and asking them what happened.

"They kept telling me I was a hassle and they took care of me," she testified. "I thought I could trust him (Mays) until I saw the pictures and video."

In questioning her account, defense attorneys went after her character and credibility. Two former friends of the girl testified that the accuser she was drinking heavily that night, had a history of doing so and was known to lie.

"The reality is, she drank, she has a reputation for telling lies," said lawyer Walter Madison, representing Richmond.

The accuser said that she does not remember being photographed as she was carried by Mays and Ma'Lik Richmond, an image that stirred up outrage, first locally, then globally, as it spread online. Others testified the photo was a joke and the girl was conscious when it was taken.

After the trial, the accuser's mother rebuked the boys for "lack of any moral code."

"You were your own accuser, through the social media that you chose to publish your criminal conduct on," she said.
Don't blame a victim. Blame the rapist.
The photograph led to allegations that three other boys, two of them members of Steubenville High's celebrated Big Red team, saw something happening that night and didn't try to stop it but instead recorded it themselves.

None of them were charged, fueling months of online accusations of a cover-up to protect the team, which law enforcement authorities have vehemently denied.

Instead, the teens were granted immunity to testify, and their accounts helped incriminate the defendants. They said the girl was so drunk she didn't seem to know what was happening to her and confirmed she was assaulted.

After Mays and Richmond were taken into custody Sunday, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said he planned to convene a grand jury next month to investigate whether anyone else should be charged in the case.

Noting that 16 people refused to talk to investigators, many of them underage, DeWine said possible crimes to be investigated include failure to report a felony and failure to report child abuse.
Ma'lik Richmond breaks down in tears after he and Trent Mays were found guilty in the rape of teen.
"This community desperately needs to have this behind them, but this community also desperately needs to know justice was done and that no stone was left unturned," he said.

Mays and Richmond were determined to be delinquent, the juvenile equivalent of guilty, Lipps ruled in the juvenile court trial without a jury.

The length of their sentence beyond the minimum one year will be determined by juvenile authorities; they can be held until they're 21. Lipps said that "as bad as things have been for all of the children involved in this case, they can all change their lives for the better."

The accuser's mother echoed that, saying the case "does not define who my daughter is. She will persevere, grow and move on."
