Dzohkar Got ___________!

BostonSuspect2.jpg
The Boston Marathon bomber Dzohkar Tsarnaev was found guilty of capital murder.

Two years ago, two men wanted to cause mass destruction and death at the Boston Marathon. These two men placed pressure cooker explosives near the finish line. The bombs went off around 2:45pm and 2:53pm.

The bombs exploded. The impact killed three and injured hundreds of people. Krystle Marie Campbell, 29, Lu Lingzi 23, a Chinese national and Boston University graduate student from Shenyang, Liaoning; and Martin William Richard, an eight-year-old lost their lives.

The suspects placed the bomb close to little Martin.

The suspects were Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev. These two men who lived in Cambridge were immigrants from Chechen region of Russia.

They were spotted on cameras placing the devices. They ran from the scene.

Within the night, they carjacked a man who was heading to work.

They stopped at a gas station to fill up. The man escaped and told the attendant that he was carjacked. The attendant notified the law.

A campus police officer from MIT was nearby. The officer spotted them in the area. As he approached the vehicle, Tamerlan jumped out and put the slugs in him. The MIT officer Sean A. Collier was killed immediately.

After they bucked the MIT officer. The law started to close in.

Tamerlan decided to go out with a bang. He and Dzhokar went into a firefight with the law.

Tamerlan got served a lead sandwich. He would die in the firefight. Dzhokar was injured.

It took about 15 hours to locate Dzhokar hiding in a man's backyard underneath a boat.

These two had the whole Boston metro area on high concern. They thought that they could cause an act of terrorism. They thought they could get away with murder.

Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev were spotted with the backpacks. Inside them were bombs.
Well that proved to be wrong.

Tamerlan met justice in a hail of fire.

Dzhokar met justice at the hands of a federal grand jury.

Today, the surviving bomber was found guilty on all charges of conspiracy, capital murder (police officer and three bombing victims), and using a weapon of mass destruction.

The 21 year old man who's life is in the hands of a jury could face the GAS or LIFE in federal time out.

The experts considered this an act of terrorism. They were upset over the U.S. intervention in Muslim countries. This event was considered one of the worst post 9/11.

Dems Ordered The Philly Cheesesteak!

The Democratic Party picks Philadelphia.

Dems will host their convention in Philly. They passed over BKNY and the CO as their final choice.

Republicans picked Cleveland, Ohio as their choice for their national convention. So these events within 245 miles of one another.

Like Cleveland, the people over in Philadelphia, Trenton, Camden, NJ and Wilmington, DE will prepare for the donkeys. The Philadelphia area will see some $$$, protesters and the junk food media swarm the Wells Fargo Center and Philadelphia Convention Center in late July 2016.

Mayor Michael Nutter will do his best to keep the problems out of the event. He will push the ghetto into the trash bin.

The City of Brotherly Love residents will see pizza places and bars rise in revenue. After all the pizza places and nightclubs will be hoping that $$$ will travel. The country, rave, rock and hip-hop music establishments are favorites among young Democrats.
The City of Brotherly Love will host the Dems.
Agitators of the racist right will be in the city with cameras in tow to find that one Black or Hispanic Democratic voter who will say they gotten their "Obama Phone".

As with the Republicans, Democrats are looking for the night life to be a little bit sexy. The pimps and prostitutes will see $$$ in their eyes. The female and male prostitutes will make Democrats feel so good when they arrive. They will probably pick up weed sack.

Philadelphia the fifth largest city in the U.S. is the midway point between New York and Washington, DC. The population is 1.6 million residents.

Philly is close to Atlantic City as well.

It's where America's founding began.

The Democrats will eventually nominate their candidate. They are hosting this gig in late July.

We Remember The Boston Marathon Bombing!

File:Two suspects wanted by the FBI for the bombing.jpg
Dzhokhar (right) and Tamerlan Tsarnaev (left) carried out one of the most gruesome attacks in American history. The Boston Marathon Bombings killed three. The two men went onto an attack on a police officer before the federal authorities manage to take Tamerlan and Dzhokhar to justice. Tamerlan was killed in a shootout and Dzhokhar was badly injured.

One of the oldest marathons was rocked in 2013 by a set of explosions. Around 2:56 pm on a nice sunny day, Americans gather together to watch competitors across the world compete for the Boston Marathon.

Close to the finish line, an exploding device goes off. Then another exploding device goes off.

The explosion would prove to be one of the most harshest and deadliest attack in the nation. The suspects used domestic devices such as pressure cookers to carry out a violent attack.

Three lives were lost in the blast. Countless others injured. Those injured had their limps blown right off them.

A nation changed that day. We continue to send our condolences and prayers to the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombings.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send condolences to Krystle Campbell (age 29), Lu Lingzi (age 23) and Martin Richard (age 8). Also we send condolences to MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) police officer Sean Collier (age 27).

Courtesy of Wikipedia:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took over the investigation, and on April 18, released photographs and surveillance video of two suspects.

The suspects were identified later that day as Chechen brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Shortly after the FBI released the images, the suspects allegedly killed an MIT police officer, carjacked an SUV, and initiated an exchange of gunfire with the police in Watertown, Massachusetts. During the firefight, an MBTA police officer was injured but survived with severe blood loss. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot several times in the firefight and subsequently run over by the car then driven by his brother. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dzhokhar was walking causally away while Americans scream in panic.
An unprecedented manhunt ensued on April 19, with thousands of law enforcement officers searching a 20-block area of Watertown.

During the manhunt, authorities asked residents of Watertown and surrounding areas, including Boston, to stay indoors. The public transportation system and most businesses and public institutions were shut down, creating a deserted urban environment of historic size and duration.

Around 7 pm, shortly after the "shelter-in-place" advisory was rescinded, a Watertown resident discovered Dzhokhar hiding in a boat in his back yard. Dzhokhar was arrested and taken to a hospital shortly thereafter.

During an initial interrogation in the hospital, Dzhokhar alleged that Tamerlan was the mastermind. He said they were motivated by extremist Islamist beliefs and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that they were self-radicalized and unconnected to any outside terrorist groups. According to him, they learned to build explosive devices from an online magazine of the al-Qaeda affiliate in Yemen.

He said that he and his brother had decided after the Boston bombings to travel to New York City to bomb Times Square. Dzhokhar was charged on April 22, while still in the hospital, with use of a weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in death.

He has pleaded not guilty to 30 charges.

If found guilty Dzhokhar will automatically get federal time out. But also he'll be facing the gas chamber.

BROWN MEETS RED III!

Carpetbagger Republican faces Senator Jeanne Shaheen.

Former Massachusetts senator Scott Brown is back. He's declared he's running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in neighboring New Hampshire. He hopes he could shake up the state and beat the incumbent Democrat in a potentially toss up state.

He will face his former colleague current Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen.

Maybe this is a test for a potential run for president?

After all, he's being floated around a serious contender for president.

Scott Brown is the Tea Party's first victory in 2010.

When Edward Kennedy died in 2009, Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick ordered a special election.

That special election was underestimated by the Democrats. When the Democrats lined up Martha Coakley as their nominee, they saw that she didn't carry the fire in the belly as Kennedy.

Scott on the other hand was a political nobody  who managed to win over independents. He wasn't ashamed of his lifestyle. He drove around in a diesel powered Ford F-350 and wore Carrhart jackets. He was married to a local news reporter from Boston and one of his daughters is a songwriter and music producer.

Although a moderate by most Republican standards, his impact gave the Tea Party a motivation. His victory helped cause the wave of Republicans. The political party managed to win back the U.S. House of Representatives and many state governorships.

Democrats are fearing that they may lose their majority in the U.S. Senate. For you see, even though the Republicans are worthless in Congress, the voters seem to like them better than the Democrats.

The Democrats have tried and failed to capture the magic of 2008 and 2012. They couldn't muster the votes during a midterm. With an unpopular president, it makes it even harder for Democrats to obtain the magic.

Republicans lead this the growing campaign of opposition. And this opposition could gridlock the president's agenda for the remaining term.

Brown was the vote that destroyed the supermajority the Democrats had. Democrats had a supermajority of lawmakers and yet couldn't get nothing done with the opposition. For at least 133 days, Democrats couldn't muster enough courage to get the president's agenda done.

Now with the worst legislative body in 80 years running things, do you believe that Republicans actually have an agenda?

Russia Today: Is Racial Profiling Still In America?

Easy answer: YES!

If Congressman Peter King (R-New York) thinks "ethic and racial profiling" is beneficial to stopping criminal activities by American Muslims, what would it be said about White extremists?

I mean how dumb and bigoted these Republicans are!

The U.S. Constitution is read only in short form according to the Republicans who rally on charging the lone surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect as an "enemy combatant".

The American justice system continues to put Black males in the prison system more than any race combined.

The conservative agitating media continues to relish on Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev's religion and not the crime they've committed. They're upset that the U.S. Justice Department had issued the Miranda rights for the surviving terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

They're upset that the Justice Department and the White House found it better to try this suspect in federal court.

Which is the right thing to do since this was an act of domestic terrorism on American soil.

The junk food media really needs to take lessons from Russia Today.

BREAKING: Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev And Tamerlan Tsarnaev Captured!

U.S. federal authorities want these guys.

This is the ongoing issue out of Boston. The AP and multiple sources report that two individuals Dzhokhar and Tsarnaev Tsarnaev are the suspects sought in the bombing at the Boston Marathon.

The FBI released their images yesterday and multiple tips were given to them.

The clear images of the individuals gave the nation a look into two brothers who managed to pull off a deadly attack at an annual event that been held over 100 years.

The United States Justice Department issued a warrant for these two. The FBI and Massachusetts law officials have been tipped off to a robbery at a 7 Eleven. The individuals tried to rob it.

They were spotted around MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and they've ended up killing an officer.

People have posted on their social networking websites the events that have unfolded while most of us were sleeping or working,

They've also carjacked an individual.

When the police seen the individuals with the car jacking victim in the suburb of Watertown, they ran off.

The individuals fired upon the police and transit officers. The exchange of gunfire killed Tamerlan Tsanaev.

Now the other individual Dzhokhar is possibly in a stand off with the U.S. federal authorities.

The nation went live on this coverage. Similar to the Christopher Lee Dohner coverage. A few months ago, the LAPD were looking for a former cop who killed Monica Quan, her finance, and three law enforcement officers.

The media looked into the individuals manifesto through his social networking (via Facebook).

They've determined that Dohner was depressed about being fired from the Los Angeles Police Department and discharged from the military. He felt that he was being blackballed over his perceived complaints of racism at the department.

The manifesto he wrote was over 10 pages long and it contained his decry to kill as many as possible.

Now there's a similar theme here with Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. These two individuals were from the Dagestan region, The region is close to Chechnya, a conservative Sunni Muslim region known for Islamic terrorism. They've looked Dzhokhar's social networking sites and determined that he was devoted to Islamic radicalism. The Russian Federation's most reclusive region of Chechnya is considered a Sunni Muslim region.

The media hasn't confirmed if he's an associated to al-Qaeda or any extremist groups.

The talk of Islamic extremism will generate hate crimes among those who are Muslim or Sikh.

These two men lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts and they've had trouble fitting in with people.

Looking into their social networking websites they've seemed like they were studying at local colleges.

They've were considered model citizens. The family claimed these two were studying for medicine. What the federal authorities are trying to determine is how they were inspired into inflict harm upon innocent people.

President Barack Obama was notified about the situation since 2 AM. The situation unfolded overnight with the suspects trying to leave the vicinity.

The police were effective in determined the men. Both were spotted around the finish line. The "black hat" individual (Tamerlan) was spotted first. The "white hat" individual (Dzhokhar) was spotted with hat turned backwards. The improvised bombs that were left by the two went off before 3 PM on Monday.

The bombing injured over 150 people and killed three. There was a massive causalities inflicted by these two explosions. These bombs were a mixture of pressure cookers, nails, ball barrings and metal fragments.

This issue triggers debate over what you post online, gun control, immigration, terrorism, and racial profiling.

The media have found YouTube videos by the suspects.

The Boston Globe announced the officer who was killed in today's shooting was 26-year old Sean Collier.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to his family.

Death of a law enforcement officer.
Okay, there haven't been any developments so far. The neighborhood in the Watertown area is being surrounded by federal law enforcement figures and local police.

As of 9:45 AM, Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI director Robert Muller have talked to the president about their solution to ending this standoff.

We're in the afternoon hours of this incident going on in Watertown, the media has released the picture of a transit cop who was shot by the suspects. Richard Donahue is fighting for his life after an exchange of gunfire injured him severely.

Richard Donahue was a transit law enforcement officer injured.
The media has released the picture of President Barack Obama in the Strategy Room in Washington, DC.

The media also got in contact with suspects family members. The father, the sisters, aunt and uncle are informed about the suspects.

These classified these individuals as terrorists.

The media hasn't confirmed the individual (Dzhokhar's) capture.

Rulsan Tsarni says Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev immigrated to the United States around 2000 or 2001, and have lived at the same Cambridge address since that time.

According to Tsarni, Dzhokhar completed high school in Cambridge and was attending college somewhere outside of Boston.

He described Tamerlan as a “loser.”

Tsarni was shocked when he was informed of the unfolding situation that left Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead in a shootout.

“He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his,” Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to live on this earth.”

Later in the morning, Tsarni held an impassioned news conference that began with him offering condolences to “those who’ve been murdered, those who’ve been injured.”

Tsarni noted that his family had not been in touch with the family of the suspects for a number of years, but still, he expressed shame.

“My family has nothing to do with that family… Of course we’re ashamed. We’re ashamed. They’re children of my brother,” he said. “Somebody radicalized them, but it’s not my brother… He spent his life working.”

Tsarni called on his nephew to turn himself in. When asked why the suspects may have committed what Ruslan described as “an atrocity,” he said simply it was because they were losers.

“Being losers, hatred to those who were able to settle themselves; those are the only reasons,” he said. “Anything else to do with religion, with Islam, it’s a fraud; it’s a fake.”

Ruslan told reporters that the two bombing suspects wasted an opportunity for a great life.

“This is the ideal micro-world in the entire world,” he said of the United States. “I respect this country. I love this country; this country which gives chances to everybody else to be treated as a human being.”

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has eluded authorities and is still on the loose. The FBI has issued a national alert for the apprehension of him.

Until we get word of his capture, we will post more information.

Unconfirmed reports of shots being fired.
Horrible error in reporting.
The New York Post made too many critical errors in their reporting of this.

Conservative media outlets are lavishing over the fact these suspects being converted Muslim extremists.

So far, I noted That Guy Who Helped Obama Win, Crazy Jones, and That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall openly boasting about Muslim extremism.

These individuals were according to friends and family, agnostic. But recently, the older Tamerlan was getting more religious and acted like a loner. Dzhokhar was a model student who was awarded a scholarship to college. He was naturalized a U.S. Citizen in September 2012.

Law enforcement were around this Watertown area for over 18 hours looking for the slip up by Dzhokhar.

The Boston Globe reports that the person who the New York Post splashed is in fear of death threats.

The family of a Revere high-school student whose photograph appeared in the New York Post indicating a link to the attacks at the Boston Marathon said they were being hounded and were afraid to leave their home.

The front page of Thursday’s New York Post featured a photo of Salah Eddin Barhoum, 17, and another young man watching the marathon before the blasts with the headline: “Bag men: Feds seek these two pictured at Boston Marathon.”

The FBI later released photos of two suspects in Monday’s bombings, neither of whom were Barhoum.

Barhoum, a runner for his high school track team, told the Associated Press Thursday that he is afraid to go outside, fearing people will blame him for Monday’s bombings. The AP reported that Barhoum is a Moroccan native and went to authorities, anxious to clear his name.

The teenager later told ABC News that when he saw the Post’s front page, “It’s the worst feeling that I can possibly feel. . . . I’m only 17.”

Outside the family’s apartment building on Thursday, a man who indicated he was Barhoum’s father, but declined to give his name, told a Globe reporter and other members of the press in broken English that reporters had been hounding his family all day Thursday and they had been afraid to leave.

“From one o’clock in the morning till now, we [ate] nothing,” he said. “Please, can you respect my family?”

“The picture of my son on the Internet, [he] is now skewered,” the man said.

Confirmed by law enforcement the suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was caught.
Amateur Internet sleuths on various websites, culling through images of the Marathon, had highlighted Barhoum and others as potential suspects in Monday’s bombings, which killed three people.

The man who indicated he was Barhoum’s father declined to be interviewed further and said his son did not want to speak to the press any more late Thursday afternoon.

There are confirmation that an individual was spotted in a boat in a neighborhood close to the area where U.S. federal authorities are searching. There were an exchange of gunfire in this event.
Killed in gunfire by law enforcement. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was the Boston Marathon bomber.
We can't confirm if they've found Dzhokhar Tsamaev.

President Barack Obama was contacted by Russian Federation president Vladimir Putin. Putin sends his condolences to the American people lost in this tragedy.

They've found suspect. There's no confirmation that he's been caught. But from what the news wires reporting that a man was hiding in a backyard near a boat.

There are cheers from spectators.

Medical officials are under fire for releasing possible death photos of Tamerlan Tsamaev. Coming from the Smoking Gun website. Not safe for work. Also comments are not safe for work.

BREAKING: Suspects In Boston Marathon Bombings!

News of the individual being caught appears across national wires.

Huffington Post siren.
Developing out of Boston, there's a break in the case of the marathon bombing.

According to CNN and the Associated Press, an individual was arrested.

The FBI held a press conference in regards to the Boston bombings investigation.

The news is reporting that investigators believe they have identified a suspect based on surveillance tape which show two people the FBI are looking for.

The individuals are considering them armed and extremely dangerous.

Array 500

FBI has released the images of the individuals responsible. The FBI are looking for two men.

Images of two possible suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing circulated among agencies investigating the terror attack are expected to be released to the public Thursday, The Boston Globe reports.

The photographs, captured moments before the blast Monday that killed three people and left more than 180 wounded, show two individuals separately standing at each of the bombing sites, according to multiple reports.

A Fox News reporter who said he had seen the photos described them as "clear," adding that the images show both individuals carrying bags. He said authorities requested the photos not be released for fear of compromising the investigation.

The bombs had been placed near the finish line, along Boylston Street. The bombs, which were pressure cooker devices, detonated at 2:49 p.m. EDT, 13 seconds apart. No warnings had been given, and no one has been arrested or claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Described as pressure cooker bombs, thought to be made using Fagor-brand pressure cookers, they were improvised explosive devices constructed from pressure cookers, explosives, bits of metal, and bearing balls placed in black nylon duffel bags or backpacks.

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and perennial loser Mitt Romney were attending the mass for the victims today.

While we were sleeping the news broke overnight saying that they've cornered the individuals responsible for the Boston Marathon Bombing.

To keep you up to date on the situation, they've ID the two men as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tzarnaev. They're brothers and the prime suspects in the bombing.

Overnight, there was a firefight and Tamerlan was killed. Dzhokhar is on the loose. He's considered dangerous according to law enforcement figures.

The FBI and Massachusetts law enforcement figures are looking for the suspect in the nearby Watertown, Massachusetts.
Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tzarnaev
The two managed to kill a MIT police officer, injured a transit officer in a firefight and threw explosive devices at police during their getaway attempt in a long night of violence that left one of them dead and another still at large Friday, authorities said as the manhunt intensified for a young man described as a dangerous terrorist.

Two law enforcement officials told the AP that Tsarnaev and the other suspect, who was not immediately identified, had been living legally in the U.S. for at least one year.

Right now, the city of Boston and vicinity is closed off to keep the suspect from fleeing. The FBI and local police are packing strong. They've determined the suspects are extremely dangerous and they're a strong possibility of a massive firefight.

"We believe this man to be a terrorist," Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said at a post-4 a.m. press conference about the at large suspect. "We believe this to be a man who's come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody."

An MBTA Transit Police Officer was shot during the overnight manhunt through Cambridge and Watertown.

Richard (Dic) H. Donohue Jr., 33, is in surgery now at Mt. Auburn Hospital, according to a police spokesman just after 8 a.m.

Donohue has been an MBTA police officer for three years.

Donohue is from Winchester and now lives with his wife and six month old son in Woburn.

All MBTA service has been suspended on Friday morning and law enforcement officials are asking residents of Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Belmont, Cambridge and the Allston-Brighton neighborhoods of Boston to stay indoors and for businesses to not open today. Also, no vehicle traffic will be allowed in or out of Watertown until further notice.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

A robbery at a Cambridge 7-11 Thursday night was followed by the fatal shooting of a MIT campus police officer, then a carjacking by the suspects, which turned into a shootout in Watertown on early Friday morning, with one suspect pronounced dead at a hospital after the shootout and the other at large.

The Junk Food Media Plays The Race Card!

From King Hippo to some guy at Salon, the media outrage over who plays the mad bomber has the internet lit up. If one thing is clear about the Boston Marathon tragedy, those in the junk food media don't care about the lives of those lost nor the reaction from the president.

President Barack Obama warned the media not to jump to conclusions. That message was ignored by the likes of That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall, HuffPo, the media folks over at Loserville, Failed News Network and Obama News. Each individual came up with a theory that practically deters a message that was clear and simple.

DON'T ASSUME THE PERSON IS GUILTY! WAIT UNTIL THE EVIDENCE IS PROVEN THAT AN INDIVIDUAL IS ARRESTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT!

Loserville sent reporters to the home of the individual the media claimed was a "person of interest".

Failed News Network's John King claims that the sources told him that the individual is a "dark skinned individual" and he doesn't want to rile up folks.
Break in the case of the bombing at the Boston Marathon
Salon writer wrote a piece saying that the conservative agitators are quick to blame those who are Muslim.

The Salon writer says that White terrorists are dealt with as lone wolves, Islamists are existential threats.

He's right at a point. The reality of this article made the folks over at Loserville and King Hippo mad.

But one thing is clear about this situation, it's politics as usual.

We really need to wait until the FBI and Boston Police arrest the individual(s) responsible for this tragedy.

The conservative agitators are really insane. They're determined to screw the president with this overly played racism and disgusting behavior.

Still the left need to stop the rambles of blaming the crazy White guy! There's enough of those folks over at Loserville and through your AM radio dial.

Tragedy At Boston Marathon! [NSFW]

BREAKING: THIS STORY WILL CONTINUE! WE HERE AT JOURNAL DE LA REYNA SEND OUR CONDOLENCES TO THOSE LOST IN THIS SENSELESS TRAGEDY!

We have confirmed that this is a planned attack.

Unconfirmed reports from Fox News that Boston Police have a "person of interest" in custody. There's a report of a young individual who is possibly a "foreign national" who was injured and is at guarded condition at the Massachusetts General in Boston. The person of interest is in custody. We have no name or nationality of this individual. There are reports from the junk food media saying blame is to a Saudi national, but there's no confirmation of this.

There was third bomb located near the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. This exploded without injury.

But overall, all we know at this moment is there were two bombs that went off at the Boston Marathon.

This marks another horrible tragedy in America. This tragedy in April adds to the already memorable horror of the Oklahoma City bombing, Columbine High School shooting, Virginia Tech shooting and now this event.

Governor Deval Patrick, Boston's mayor Thomas Menino and President Barack Obama express sorrow for those lost in this incident. They want those involved captured and brought to justice.

The Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano, FBI director Robert Mueller are involved.

This tragedy will spark debate over gun control, illegal immigration, terrorism and hate crimes towards Americans who are Muslim or Sikh.

Confirmed attack at the Boston Marathon. President Barack Obama and lawmakers share condolences with those lost on this day.
BOSTON (AP) — Two bombs exploded near the finish of the Boston Marathon on Monday, killing two people, injuring 23 others and sending authorities rushing to aid wounded spectators, race organizers and police said.

One runner, a Rhode Island state trooper, said he saw at least two dozen people with very serious injuries, including missing limbs.

About two hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

The Boston Marathon said that bombs caused the two explosions and that organizers were working with authorities to determine what happened. The Boston Police Department said two people were killed and 23 others injured.

Competitors and race volunteers were crying as they fled the chaos. Bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners. Authorities went onto the course to carry away the injured while stragglers in the 26.2-mile race were rerouted away from the smoking site.

Roupen Bastajian, a 35-year-old state trooper from Greenville, R.I., had just finished the race when they put the heat blanket wrap on him and he heard the first blast.

"I started running toward the blast. And there were people all over the floor," he said. "We started grabbing tourniquets and started tying legs. A lot of people amputated. ... At least 25 to 30 people have at least one leg missing, or an ankle missing, or two legs missing."

Obama Boston Marathon Explosions

A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.

"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. He was not injured, but marathon workers were carrying one woman, who did not appear to be a runner, to the medical area as blood gushed from her leg.

Smoke rose from the blasts, fluttering through the national flags lining the route of the world's oldest and most prestigious marathon. TV helicopter footage showed blood staining the pavement in the popular shopping and tourist area known as the Back Bay.

A third explosion was heard about an hour after the first two after authorities warned spectators to expect a loud noise from a water cannon.

"There are people who are really, really bloody," said Laura McLean, a runner from Toronto, who was in the medical tent being treated for dehydration when she was pulled out to make room for victims of the explosions. "They were pulling them into the medical tent."

Cherie Falgoust was waiting for her husband, who was running the race.

"I was expecting my husband any minute," she said. "I don't know what this building is ... it just blew. Just a big bomb, a loud boom, and then glass everywhere. Something hit my head. I don't know what it was. I just ducked."

Runners who had not finished the race were diverted straight down Commonwealth Avenue and into a family meeting area, according to an emergency plan that had been in place.

BOSTON (AP) -- Two bombs exploded in the packed streets near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, killing two people and injuring more than 80 in a terrifying scene of shattered glass, billowing smoke, bloodstained pavement and severed limbs, authorities said.

A senior U.S. intelligence official said two other explosive devices were found near the end of the 26.2-mile course.

At the White House, President Barack Obama vowed that those responsible will "feel the full weight of justice."

There was no word on the motive or who may have launched the attack, and police said no suspect was in custody. Authorities in Washington said there was no immediate claim of responsibility.

"They just started bringing people in with no limbs," said runner Tim Davey, of Richmond, Va. He said he and his wife, Lisa, tried to keep their children's eyes shielded from the gruesome scene inside a medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners, but "they saw a lot."

"They just kept filling up with more and more casualties," Lisa Davey said. "Most everybody was conscious. They were very dazed."

The twin blasts at the race took place almost simultaneously and about 100 yards apart, tearing limbs off numerous people, knocking spectators and at least one runner off their feet, shattering windows and sending smoke rising over the street.

Some 23,000 runners took part in the race, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious marathons. One of Boston's biggest annual events, the race winds up near Copley Square, not far from the landmark Prudential Center and the Boston Public Library. It is held on Patriots Day, which commemorates the first battles of the American Revolution, at Concord and Lexington in 1775.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis asked people to stay indoors or go back to their hotel rooms and avoid crowds as bomb squads methodically checked parcels and bags left along the race route. He said investigators didn't know whether the bombs were planted in mailboxes or trash cans.

He said authorities had received "no specific intelligence that anything was going to happen" at the race.

The Federal Aviation Administration barred low-flying aircraft from within 3.5 miles of the site.

Obama was briefed on the explosions by Homeland Security adviser Lisa Monaco. Obama also told Mayor Tom Menino and Gov. Deval Patrick that his administration would provide whatever support was needed, the White House said.

"We still don't know who did this or why," Obama said, adding, "Make no mistake: We will get to the bottom of this."

A few miles away from the finish line and around the same time, a fire broke out at the John F. Kennedy Library. The police commissioner said it may have been caused by an incendiary device but didn't appear to be related to the bombings.

"There are people who are really, really bloody," said Laura McLean, a runner from Toronto, who was in the medical tent being treated for dehydration when she was pulled out to make room for victims.

About four hours into the race and two hours after the men's winner crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

By that point, more than 17,000 of the runners had finished the race, but thousands of others were farther back along the course.

The Boston Police Department said two people were killed. Hospitals reported at least 82 injured, at least eight of them critically.

A senior U.S. intelligence official said the two other explosive devices found nearby were being dismantled. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the findings publicly.

A woman who was a few feet from the second bomb, Brighid Wall, 35, of Duxbury, said that when it exploded, runners and spectators froze, unsure of what to do. Her husband threw their children to the ground, lay on top of them and another man lay on top of them and said, "Don't get up, don't get up."

After a minute or so without another explosion, Wall said, she and her family headed to a Starbucks and out the back door through an alley. Around them, the windows off the bars and restaurants were blown out.

She said she saw six to eight people bleeding profusely, including one man who was kneeling, dazed, with blood coming down his head. Another person was on the ground covered in blood and not moving.

"My ears are zinging. Their ears are zinging. It was so forceful. It knocked us to the ground."

Competitors and race volunteers were crying as they fled the chaos. Authorities went onto the course to carry away the injured while race stragglers were rerouted away from the smoking site.

Roupen Bastajian, a 35-year-old state trooper from Smithfield, R.I., had just finished the race when they put the heat blanket wrap on him and he heard the blasts.

"I started running toward the blast. And there were people all over the floor," he said. "We started grabbing tourniquets and started tying legs. A lot of people amputated. ... At least 25 to 30 people have at least one leg missing, or an ankle missing, or two legs missing."

Smoke rose from the blasts, fluttering through the national flags lining the route. Blood stained the pavement in the popular shopping and tourist area known as the Back Bay.

The Boston Marathon honored the victims of the Newtown, Conn., shooting with a special mile marker in Monday's race.

Boston Athletic Association president Joanne Flaminio previously said there was "special significance" to the fact that the race is 26.2 miles long and 26 people died at Sandy Hook Elementary school.

The number of casualties changed rapidly throughout the afternoon. Two people were killed and more than 130 others were injured, according to a preliminary statement from the Boston Police Department. The number rose to more than 100 injured shortly after 5 p.m. and kept growing as the day progressed, the Boston Globe reported.

The first blast filled a spectator gallery near the finish line with a gray cloud of smoke. Screaming witnesses immediately fled the area. Ten seconds later, a second explosion jolted the crowd.

Streets reserved exclusively for runners filled with emergency crews, as first responders climbed fences to reach wounded athletes and spectators. Flags from nations represented in the race were thrown to the ground

Medical tents set up for runners are being used to treat individuals with injuries.

Police chief Ed Davis said that a third incident took place at the JFK Library in Boston.

"We are not sure if these incidents are related, but we are treating them as if they are," he said.

An unexploded device was also recovered, Davis said.

More than 27,000 runners participated in this year's Marathon, which takes places every year on Patriot's Day, a state holiday in Massachusetts.

BOSTON (AP) — Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the chaos. Bloody spectators were being carried to the medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners.

"There are a lot of people down," said one man, whose bib No. 17528 identified him as Frank Deruyter of North Carolina. A Boston police officer was wheeled from the course with a leg injury that was bleeding.

About three hours after the winners crossed the line, there was a loud explosion on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. Another thunderous explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

Runner Laura McLean of Toronto said she heard two explosions outside the medical tent.

"There are people who are really, really bloody," McLean said. "They were pulling them into the medical tent."

Cherie Falgoust was waiting for her husband, who was running the race.

The Associated Press and Reuters news wires report that at least a dozen people were injured after a pair of explosions detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon, the Boston Globe's Twitter feed reported.

There were no immediate reports of the exact number of casualties. The Globe reported “multiple people” were injured.

An international event such as the Boston Marathon attracts thousands of attendees. This explosion has known fatalities.

Witnesses reportedly heard two booms that sounded like two claps of thunder near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.

The explosions occurred just before 3 p.m. Video of the scene showed a number of emergency crews in the area tending to victims and blood on the ground near the finish line.

"I saw two explosions. The first one was beyond the finish line. I heard a loud bang and I saw smoke rising," Boston Herald reporter Chris Cassidy, who was running in the marathon, told the newspaper. "I kept running and I heard behind me a loud bang. It looked like it was in a trash can or something...There are people who have been hit with debris, people with bloody foreheads.”
