Kenan Thompson Leaving SNL!

Famed comedian is set to exit SNL.

Famed comedian Kenan Thompson could be heading for the exit at 30 Rock.

The comedian who often did impressions of Rev. Perm, Steve Harvey, Oprah, Miss Cleo, and numerous other celebrities will be coming back for the 40th season of the famed Saturday Night Live. However this will probably be his last season on the famed sketch comedy.

In his teenage years, he was an original cast member of Nickelodeon's sketch comedy series All That. Thompson is also known for his roles in the sitcom Kenan & Kel and the films Good Burger and Fat Albert. In his early career he often collaborated with fellow comedian and All That cast member Kel Mitchell. He ranked at #88 on VH1's 100 Greatest Teen Stars.

Thompson was a featured player until 2005 (spanning the 29th and 30th seasons), and was promoted to repertory player at the beginning of season 31 (the 2005-2006 season).

Thompson has been a cast member on SNL for eleven seasons, breaking the record for the longest serving African-American cast member previously held by Tim Meadows, who stayed on the show for ten seasons. Thompson is now the senior cast member on the show, after Fred Armisen and Seth Meyers left the show. He is also the third-oldest current cast member after Michael Patrick O'Brien (born 1976) and Bobby Moynihan (born 1977).

Thompson also holds the record for most celebrity impressions performed on the show, performing 108, beating Darrell Hammond's previous record of 107.

TMZ wrote that Thompson was set to leave the show before Season 41, to focus on other projects.

Lorne Michaels urged Thompson to stay for the remaining season.

Jay Pharaoh and Thompson both criticized NBC and Michaels for the show lacking Black female comedians.

SNL hired comedienne Sasheer Zamata to calm the criticism. She comes after a six year hiatus since the departure of Maya Rudolph.

Michael Che is leaving The Daily Show after being a correspondent for less than year to take over as head anchor for Weekend Update.

Famed announcer Don Pardo died last month before the taping of new episodes. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Don Pardo.

Kenan is a funny guy. We at Journal de la Reyna wish Kenan the best on his career post SNL.

Bill Maher and Jay-Z Slam Loserville Over Trayvon Martin Comments!

Media mogul steps in Bill Maher's Real Time.

Mr. Carter steps in the special panel with comedian/libertarian activist Bill Maher for an analysis of Loserville's coverage of Trayvon Martin and the NYPD controversial stop-and-frisk tactics on Real Time.

The panel included former Democratic congressman Barney Frank, the openly gay politico who often said some controversial things to piss off the conservative agitators.

The media mogul is on Real Time promoting his album Manga Carta....Holy Grail (Roc-A-Fella/Roc Nation) and his Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film. Jay-Z also acknowledged his feud between Harry Bellanfonte and Robert DeNiro.

Jay-Z was singled out by Bill-O a few weeks back after the Loserville commentator had choice words for the Black community. As usual, Bill-O's word vomit included the blame of the "race hustlers" who embrace the hip-hop culture and social ills of single parent homes which lead to Black on Black crime.

WE BLACK FOLK" ARE IN THE GRIEVANCE INDUSTRY says Bill-O and the rest of those conservative agitators in the junk food media!

As explained last month, conservatives have this fixation on Black crime in urban areas.

Since the controversial verdict granting an acquittal of Martin's shooter Trayvon Martin, the Black community has rallied against "STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS" and the "STOP AND FRISK" tactics of major police organizations.

Blacks and Latino men are often stopped more than White men by law enforcement agencies.

Black leaders including President Barack Obama have express concern about the distant relationship between law enforcement and the Black community. Of course, the president shared experiences as a victim of racial profiling when he was then a college student at Harvard.

In 2009, Henry "Skip" Gates was arrested at his own home by the Cambridge Police. The conservative media got livid when the president responded to the matter in which he felt the arresting officer acted "stupidly" in not determining Gates being a resident of the home.

In 2012, the president said that if Trayvon Martin was at age and had he had an opportunity to confront a threat, would he had the right to "STAND HIS GROUND" against George Zimmerman.

These two incidents have flared up deep concern about the racial divide with class, economic and political standings.

Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-New York) has offered choice words to the Tea Party Movement recently.

“It is the same group we faced in the South with those white crackers and the dogs and the police. They didn’t care about how they looked," Rangel said.

Because of this, Rangel said the Tea Party could be defeated using the same tactics employed against Jim Crow.

"It was just fierce indifference to human life that caused America to say enough is enough. ‘I don’t want to see it and I am not a part of it.’ What the hell! If you have to bomb little kids and send dogs out against human beings, give me a break,” said Rangel.
Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-New York) calls the Tea Party movement a bunch of "WHITE CRACKERS" who set back progress in the Civil Rights Movement.
Rangel among with members of the Black Congressional Caucus have found out about the Buckeye Firearms Association's efforts to built a fundraiser around Zimmerman and the all of sudden concern of urban crime by conservatives.

I don't blame him.

Conservatives don't give two flying (well you know) about Chicago, Memphis, Cleveland, Baltimore, Atlanta, San Francisco, Stockton, New York, Detroit, New Orleans, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. They rather sit in their gated communities, travel to Walmart, and keep public transportation out of their neighborhoods. They want to have open carry gun laws in churches, hospitals, schools and bars. But in the urban areas, they want either to take their guns or let them kill each with unregistered guns.

Conservatives (whether they are Democrat or Republican) rather see us suffer in the recession. They don't want a Black, Latino, worshiping Muslims or gay families to have social safety nets. The decry welfare, food stamps, unemployment benefits, and disability as "gubmint handouts" and want to strip the safety net instead of plugging the holes of massive jobs lost because of globalization.

They give corporations a pass on unfair labor practices, unfair pay, unethical practices in management, deliberate work hour shifts for part time and full time workers and forced closures because of political dissent. All while collecting millions in campaign fundraising for their reelection campaigns.

They want to stop abortions from single women who make a personal choice. But they don't want a Black woman to have children and raising them as single parents. They don't give to flying (you know what) about the Black community. They rather see us either in the iron college. They rather see us die off because of diabetes, HIV/AIDS and drug addiction. They rather see us kill each other with firearms and drugs.

Of course, they're up in arms over their White suburban children taking the page and using it. They'll blame us for their White kids following Black entertainers Jay-Z , Lil' Wayne, Ludacris and Snoop Dogg. They also criticize Eminem as well, being the world's most successful White rapper/entertainer.

The sins of the past continue in present time.

We allow people on Loserville to gin up dog whistle stories about "Obama Phones", "New Black Panthers", "Race-Riots" and "Trayvon Martin".  They are given the freedom of speech to berate the Black community because of the passionate responses over this whole ordeal with the Zimmerman trial.

Over 90% of Black America believes that Zimmerman targeted Martin with antipathy towards him because of his race. They believe that Zimmerman got away with murder whereas if Martin was the killer, he would have been charged for the crime.

Jay-Z is a product of Brooklyn's crime days came from the drug dealing days to become a legendary rapper and entrepreneur. The media mogul can say he's a proud parent, proud husband and successful entertainer in the same breath.

On Real Time, Jay-Z dukes it out with the panel over Black crime and how the country can overcome the problems of it.

Jay-Z appears on Roc-A-Fella Records/Roc Nation, LLC.

Obama's Cabinet Getting Flack From Liberals!

File:President Barack Obama with full cabinet 09-10-09.jpg

It's bad enough that Republicans signal a political fight for the confirmations of John Brennan, Jack Lew, John Kerry and Chuck Hagel, but those in the Democratic Party are complaining just as much.

Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-New York), Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-New Hampshire) are voicing concern about the president's cabinet lacking women, minorities and LGBT members.

Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-New York)
"It's as embarrassing as hell," Rangel said on MSNBC's "Jansing & Co." of Obama's top picks. "We've been through all of this with Mitt Romney. And we were very hard on Mitt Romney with the women binder and a variety of things."

"I kinda think there's no excuse when it's the second term. If it's the first term, you could see people got to know who is around and qualified in order to get this job, number one," he continued.

"I had thought that it could be the Harvard problem where people just know each other, trust each other. And women and minorities don't get a chance to rub elbows and their reputations and experience is not known ... so in the second term, these people should be just as experienced as anybody, any other American."

Okay, Democrats here's a dose of reality for you!

Your liberal allies are going to doom you! Just like Republicans right now, they have a problem with their allies in the conservative movement. Perennial loser Mitt Romney, Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, Fox News, Grover Norquist and the NRA aren't really helping the Republicans in the popularity contest. They're likely going to hurt the Republicans in the long term.

Democrats are doing the same thing. They need to drop the extremist wing of their party. I mean Rangel of all people gives these conservatives are reason to scream! Rangel is a Black politician who under investigation for possible corruption. Rangel lost his committee spot for his inept actions.

He shouldn't complain too much about the president's picks. I mean he does have women running the Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Commerce, an ambassador to the United Nations, and of course the State Department and Labor department still has two until retirement. The president has the first African American Attorney General. The president is Black and the first of the nation to be elected twice to lead the United States.

C'mon people.

Give the man a break!

I mean seriously, for him being the first Black president, you hear a lot of NIGGERIZATION from the likes of conservatives. First you hear about President Barack Obama taking your guns, then later a gun crime in an urban area is the fault of the president. Second you hear that President Barack Obama proposes legislation, appoint members of his cabinet, federal judges and pardons, only to be gridlock by Congress, but then when he does an executive order, they scream that he's violating the Constitution.

It doesn't matter what the president does, he's going to have critics screaming at the top of their lungs about these issues without merit.

Shake!

U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) sits in the audience during the presentation ceremony of the Congressional Gold Medal at the Emancipation Hall of the Capitol Visitor's Center June 27, 2012 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The Montford Point Marines were recognized for being the nation's first African-American Marines who received basic training at Montford Point Camp, New River, N.C. from 1942 to 1949, and their services to the country. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images)
Charlie Rangel (D-New York) survived an ethics scandal. But could he survive his next term?
Before I go into the real issue, I wanted to get this issue of my chest. This ridiculous Operation Fast & Furious scandal is still an annoying thing to the president and his attorney general. The Republican witch hunt led to Attorney General Eric Holder being held in contempt of Congress. The U.S. Justice Department has found no evidence of criminal misconduct in the withholding of information to House Oversight Committee chairman Congressman Darrell Issa (R-California). The president invoking executive privilege in the matter infuriating the Republicans.

In Washington, a small group of conservative activists went to the White House to protest. The protest is mainly their frustration with the controversial Operation Fast & Furious scandal.

Republicans enraged at the president and Attorney General Eric Holder over the ATF's mishandling of firearms leading to the death of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry. The Republicans are playing political gamesmanship with this issue. They claim a ridiculous conspiracy about the operation being a way to enact legislation to restrict assault rifles. President Barack Obama hasn't signed any legislation that restricts the ownership of firearms. But to the Republicans and the gun lobbyist organization the National Rifle Association, they will rile up white voters with this nonsense of the president taking guns and taxing the American people.

I would say that anything done by the president, isn't going to satisfy the white working class male.

Conservative white men are stuck in their ways. They will never understand the president's policies gave them a tax cut. They will never understand that this Operation Fast & Furious scandal is a distraction. No member of the U.S. Justice Department wants to see a fellow law enforcement officer killed. Yet the Republicans claim that the president and Holder have blood on their hands because they refuse to release documents that could indict members of the ATF or expose tactics to curb drug smuggling.

This protest is one of the many the Tea Party is planning on doing this Fourth of July week.

The Secret Service shut down the protest after an undetermined package was found close to the White House. So you know it will have the kookspiracy nuts raging online about the government finding a way to shut down dissent.

The Tea Party is still upset over the Supreme Court ruling. The ruling upholds the controversial American Health Care Reform Act (Obamacare). The Republican governors and lawmakers are going to boycott the decision.

These are the ones who claim the president is stomping on the U.S. Constitution. But yet there's going against the Constitution by denying the court ruling. Talk about stomping on the Constitution?

Okay, now we'll move on!

Congressman Charles (Charlie) Rangel (D-New York) has been longstanding representative of the Harlem and Bronx district. But trouble amid the 82 year old politician could really unseat him. After declaring victory in a brutal Democratic primary race, Rangel thought he could breathe a sigh of relief. Not so fast, Mr. Rangel.

Rangel was initially declared the winner over State Senator Adriano Espaillat. After reports were made about several precincts’ votes in the district being left out, a recount has ensued. Rangel’s margin of victory is down to 802 votes. The Politicker reports
The race between veteran Congressman Charlie Rangel and State Senator Adriano Espaillat for the 13th Congressional District in Upper Manhattan will come down to paper ballots. Mr. Rangel was initially declared the winner by the Associated Press based on initial results provided by the New York City Board of Elections, but it was subsequently revealed those results did not include votes from many of the precincts in the district. After a re-examination of the votes, the BOE released unofficial results tonight including votes cast in all of the district’s 506 precincts that show Mr. Rangel defeating Mr. Espaillat by a margin of just 802 votes. According to the BOE, Mr. Rangel received 18,075 votes, or 44.29 percent of the total cast, compared to Mr. Espaillat’s 17,273, 42.33 percent of the votes cast.
These unofficial results do not include paper ballots cast by absentee voters and affidavit ballots submitted by those whose name is not on the voter rolls when they arrive at the polling place. Those paper ballots, which include votes for both candidates, will be counted by the BOE next Thursday and will be the deciding factor in this tight race.
On Thursday, Mr. Espaillat’s supporters held a press conference in front of Mr. Rangel’s office where they called for a federal monitor to oversee the counting of votes after the issues with the initial results.
It seems likely that if the recount goes in the favor of the challenger, Rangel could be unseated. According to Wikipedia, the first causalities of the 112th Congress are incumbents in the primaries.
