The Law Throws Murder Charges On Unrepentant Motorist!

Unrepentant Ohio motorist kills two people. The law says that she's been an issue since her teens. Now she may spend the rest of her life in the iron college if she is found guilty of murder.

There was this woman who stole a Chevy Impala from a local gas station. Her theft of this vehicle is the least of her concerns. Right now, Kyndra Shackelford, 18 is being held on murder charges. The woman was being pursued by the law and she decided to crash into a vehicle driven by Marcus Harper.

He didn't expect the woman speeding down the dark road. She was trying to flee the law and it ended up being a fatal incident.

Marcus was killed on impact. His passenger was injured badly. They haven't released the name of the victim. Shackelford was injured but she didn't lose her life. So after she got stitched up, they gave her a ride to Montgomery County lockup.

Now the junk food media has released all the details to how this fatal incident happened.
Fatal accident in Dayton, Ohio is national news.
The Ohio State Patrol, Montgomery County Sheriff and Huber Heights police are investigating why this woman made the reckless decision to drive in a stolen vehicle. Maybe she was under the influence of alcohol. Obviously she may have purchased alcohol from the gas station. She may have taken the ride of the person after a brief pickup.

The law will interview the person who got the vehicle lifted. Obviously it's evidence to the incident.

The victim will likely be facing an insurance bill out the ass.

They will interview the surveillance tapes. They will interview witnesses who spotted the accident.
Victim identified in deadly Huber Heights pursuit photo
Criminal survives accident. But the criminal ended up killing victims.
Right now, I am guessing her Get Out of Jail Free card is $1 million.

The charges range from high felony, murder (aggravated vehicular homicide), felonious assault (aggravated vehicular assault) grand theft auto, failure to comply to a lawful order, to high misdemeanors such as being a non-license motorist operator.

Aggravated vehicular homicide is MURDER in the first degree. That eliminates all the other charges. Each charge carries 5 to 20 if found guilty of the charges. The murder charge (unintended) is 15 to LIFE in the iron college.

The law says that Shackleford has a laundry list of other incidents where she may face time for. One was aggravated menacing (stalking or threatening with violence), improper use of a firearm (discharging it in the air), domestic violence, resisting arrest and skipping court.

It was told that she would say "Fuck Tha Police" when confronted or called out. She would fake a name to get out of a pair of slap bracelets.

As of now, I believe Shackleford has no ounce of remorse for the victims. She didn't care who she hurt. She knows if the lawyers would tell her story of childhood, she'll be out in 15.

Shackleford is innocent until proven guilty.

World News Today sends our condolences to the family of Marcus Harper.

NOLA Mourns An Officer Killed While Transporting Dangerous Suspect!

Officer Daryle Holloway was gunned down by a coward who managed to get the drop on him. The FBI and U.S. Marshals are aiding in the search of this creep. New Orleans is in mourning of an officer who devoted his life to service.

What was a routine transport to the parish lockup turned into active in manhunt. New Orleans police aided by the state officers are in search of a murderous creep. This creep took the life of an officer who let his guard down. The suspect maneuvered like a worm and reached for the service weapon.

Officer Daryle Holloway was transporting Travis Boys to the parish lockup for aggravated assault when somehow this creep managed to get the drop on him.

The suspect grabbed the service weapon and hit Holloway in the head.

The police cruiser would crash in at an intersection. Boys broke the window and high tailed it out of the area.

Louisiana state patrol, the FBI and the U.S. Marshals are assisting in the apprehension of this dangerous suspect.

Travis Boys is a wanted man.
Holloway leaves behind a wife and three children. What makes it so sad is the fact that he was a motivate speaker. Many fellow officers describe him as a "friendly", "easy going" and "devoted" worker.

The AP reports that New Orleans Crimestoppers organization announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to Boys' arrest.

Rifle-toting police in bullet-proof vests, some with trained canines, searched whole blocks of one neighborhood about a mile from the city's French Quarter Sunday afternoon. Residents clustered on street corners to watch as officers checked backyards and squinted under modest homes elevated on flood-protection piers.

"He will be caught and he will be brought to justice for the murder of Officer Holloway and for this assault on our entire community," Harrison said in a police department statement.

The shooting happened Saturday morning as Boys was handcuffed in the back seat of the vehicle. Boys managed to get his hands from behind his back to the front and obtain a weapon as well, Harrison told reporters at the scene in a video interview posted on the department's Facebook page.

Boys got to the front seat through an opening in the cage that separates front and back seats and shot Holloway, Harrison said.

"Officer Holloway put up a fight to try to get the subject to not exit the vehicle but succumbed to his injuries," Harrison said.

Department spokesman Tyler Gamble said police were trying to determine what weapon Boys used and how he obtained it, but do not believe Boys used the officer's gun.

John Polk, who lives around the corner from where the police SUV came to rest, said he was just awakening when he heard a loud noise and his power went out. The noise, he figured, was an electrical transformer blowing.

"I look out the door — I'd heard the boom — I see the fire truck here on the corner," he said. It was only later 45 minutes later, after police had swarmed into the area that he learned what happened.

A helicopter circled overhead as marked and unmarked units from state police and other law enforcement agencies cruised the side streets. Utility workers worked to replace the downed power pole.

State police, St. Tammany Parish deputies, Housing Authority of New Orleans police and the U.S. Marshals Service were among those searching for Boys.

Police seeking Boys halted traffic Saturday into an area of several city blocks of the St. Roch neighborhood not far from where the shooting occurred. Officers kept people from entering the area, and others from leaving.

Gun crimes on the rise in America.
Vincent Alexander, a prep cook at Margaritaville restaurant in the French Quarter, said he was walking home from work when police detoured him a short distance from his house. "I just called my roommate. They're not letting him get out the house."

Holloway had been a member of the New Orleans Police Department since 1992. He was the father of three children.

Harrison said Holloway was not the arresting officer but was transporting Boys to the lock up when the shooting occurred.

New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu also said some harsh words for Boys.

"Killing an officer in the line of duty is an attack on our community and it will not stand", says Landrieu. The heart and soul of New Orleans is heavy today as we mourn one of our city's finest".

Okay, where are the concern trolls? Are they going to find some reason to blame the president instead of the shooter for this senseless tragedy?

I mean seriously, the shooter should get the blame. But to the agitators, the finger President Barack Obama, civil rights leaders, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former Eric Holder for this.

After all, cries for better policing is code for anti-cop says the conservative concern trolls.

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Daryle Holloway.

Cincinnati Mourning An Officer Killed In Morning Shootout!

Cincinnati Police Officer Sonny Kim.
Sonny Kim was an officer for the Cincinnati Police. He was gunned down by a suspect. He and the suspect were killed.

Again when the chips are down, the good ones die. And today, Cincinnati Police announced the death of 48 year old Sonny Kim, a 27 year veteran of the department.

He and others were responding to an erratic man in Madionsville. I am guessing the man decided to go out with a bang. In the firefight, Kim was injured gravely. He would die at the hospital. The chief Jeffery Blackwell express shock and sadness. He commended Kim as a great officer who done what was right for his community and the people he swore to protect.

World News Today send our condolences to family of Sonny Kim.

Kim immigrated from South Korea to settle in the city of Cincinnati. He would join the force in the 1990s and continue his work in public service.

The suspect 21 year old Tre Hummons would later die of his injuries and the city is sharing their thoughts on it. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that details are emerging on what happened today.
Scene at Whetsel and Roe Streets, Madisonville where
Cincinnati police respond to a man with a firearm. One of their own took a bullet.
Much of what happened near the intersection of Roe Street and Whetsel Avenue is unclear, but Blackwell did provide a basic timeline:

Police got a call at 9:03 a.m. about a man with a gun. At 9:10 a.m., a second call came in to dispatchers. Nine minutes later, Kim responded. And seven minutes after that, at 9:26 a.m., frantic officers were hurrying to the scene to provide backup.

Both Kim and the suspect were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Blackwell praised officers' "valiant" attempts to save their fallen colleague's life. He asked the community to pray not only for Kim's family, but also for the department as a whole.

Kim was known as a friendly, familiar face around the neighborhood as a longtime District 2 officer. He was passionate about martial arts, having served as an instructor with Japanese Karate-Do for nearly 20 years. Blackwell described him as an exemplary officer, well liked and physically fit.

Capt. Jeff Butler, who worked closely with Kim in District 2, fought back tears as he spoke to reporters.

"Sonny Kim was the consummate police officer," he said.

City Manager Harry Black said the city would honor Kim as a hero.

"This is a stark reminder that all jobs are not created equal," Black said, adding that police officers "have the courage and conviction to do what many of us might not be prepared to do -- that is to sacrifice their lives if necessary."
Cincinnati mayor John Cranley and police chief Jeffery Blackwell are shocked that an officer died in the line of duty.
Blackwell said earlier this morning that the officer had been wearing body armor, but that he was struck anyway in the chest.

In a March 2014 interview with the online karate magazine The Shotokan Way, he described how stressful his job as an officer was and how important he considered his training.

Alleged shooter Tre Hummons.
"In the USA, most of our police tactical training deals mainly with firearm encounters," Kim told the publication. "Having an assailant with a firearm will put you under some emotional and physiological duress."

He said police trainers have a saying: "You will perform how you train."

"One must train hard and under pressure in a realistic environment," he said.

Kim's Facebook cover photo an image of his three sons, posed together and smiling.

Kim is the 98th Cincinnati police officer to die in the line of duty -- the first since 2000.

"There's not much you can say," said CPD Chaplain Tyronne Patrick. "I let the officers talk to me. They have to do the talking. It's like losing a child."

Somber-faced officers embraced and consoled each other as it rained off and on at the shooting scene.

"My heart is just heavy for his family at this time," Sara Sheets, director of the Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corp., said of Kim. Sheets has lived in Madisonville for 12 years.

Her home is a block from the shooting.

Florida Teens Visit County Lock Up After They Film Joyride In Stolen Car!

Teens got busted hauling loot from their robberies.

If you're committing a criminal act in the daylight, don't be a fool. If you're recording this stuff and posting it on social media, then you're just a stupid idiot. I guess this is one of those "You Can't Fix Stupid" moments.

Four Florida teens are spending the night in the county after they were caught on film posting a home burglary. They wanted to show their bounty on film. They were flashing that cash, them jewels and that nice new ride they've swiped from an Oakland Park neighborhood.

The teens -- identified as Jaynell Justin, 16, of Oakland Park; Amos Marc, 17, of Oakland Park; Lamonte Scott, 16, of Oakland Park; and Machel Stevens, 18, of Fort Lauderdale -- left the stolen items in the stolen car after getting into a crash in Fort Lauderdale, BSO spokeswoman Dani Moschella said.

Among the stolen items that police found in the car was the camcorder that the teens used to record the nearly three-minute long video, Moschella said.

Fort Lauderdale police tracked the stolen items to residential burglaries in Boca Raton and Oakland Park. When BSO detectives saw the video, they recognized each bragging burglary suspect, Moschella said.

The teens were arrested on charges of burglary and grand theft.

Detectives believe the teens have committed at least 25 residential burglaries in Oakland Park, as well as stealing and burglarizing cars.

NSA Shooting: The Suspects Were Geekin' Transgender Prostitutes!

Ricky "Maya" Shawatza Hall was killed by the law after she crashed into the gates of the NSA. The FBI and Maryland state police determined that the suspect was a transgender prostitute who was trying flee the law after a botched robbery.

There was a story coming from the Washington, DC area. One suspect was killed after police opened fire on the vehicle that crashed through the gates of the National Security Administration near Fort Meade.

The suspects were apparently trying to flee the law after being tipped off that they stolen a vehicle.

Well the suspect Ricky Shawatza Hall (who goes by the name Maya) and her friend Kevin Fleming (unknown street name) were homeless. They were selling their bodies for drugs, food and shelter.

So Hall and Fleming were on the streets and a 60 year old man saw them. He picks them up and offers them an opportunity to make money. He figured that he was going to pay them at least $100 for a few hours and take them back to the streets. The suspects told the trick that he had to take a shower with them. So he gets undressed in the bathroom while the suspects clean his wallet and took his keys. As soon as he heard the door slam, the trick realized he was robbed.

Kevin Fleming, 20, was the passenger in the car when officers opened fire on the vehicle
Kevin Fleming's mugshot as a man.
The suspects were geekers. Two prostitutes who robbed a trick. The suspects were transgender prostitutes from Baltimore who were picked up by a trick. The trick took them to a hotel in nearby Elkridge, MD. He probably knew the suspects were male. And he probably was a married man.

So the trick called the law, gave a description of the vehicle and told the law that they are within miles of the hotel.

Hall was driving the vehicle and Fleming was the passenger.

Hall exited off  MD State Route 295 (The Baltimore-Washington Parkway) near the NSA. There is an exit that is restricted to non-NSA officials.

They went into a restricted area. The officers immediately order the vehicle to stop.

According to the FBI, they refused order and plowed right through the gate. As soon as they plowed through the gate, the officers opened fire on the vehicle. Hall and Fleming were struck by the lead.

Hall crashed into a NSA police SUV. Hall was lifeless at the wheel. Fleming was also injured and is surviving on the ventilator. Fleming took a few to the chest.

Now many try to figure out if this was a case of either terrorism or just another horrible incident in which an unarmed suspect was killed by trigger happy cops.

We know they were suspects in a stolen vehicle. The suspects did have traces of the rock in possession and a firearm in the vehicle. The firearm probably belonged to the trick.
Hall died at the scene and Fleming was injured in the shooting along with a guard believed to have been in the rammed police vehicle. Above, a white sheet appears to cover a body outside the the SUV
The sheet is over the suspect. The car was riddled with led. A NSA police unit vehicle destroyed.
The Howard County Sheriff may charge the trick for prostitution. The trick will probably have to have a bit of family counseling and a HIV test. Since he wasn't on the NSA property, his name isn't going to be released to the junk food media. Although, he may have a sense of vindication after the prostitutes were given a lead sandwich, the real problem lies between him and his wife. He doesn't have a vehicle to get to work. It's evidence. The trick's wife now believe her husband is gay or bisexual. He will probably have a cloud of shame hanging around him. He probably will be it doing again, but for the time being, he will have a lot of explaining to do with wife and family.

The FBI and Howard County Sheriff will determine if charges will be filed against Fleming should she survives the injuries. for theft, destruction of government property, drug and weapons possession and prostitution.

Hall end up paying the ultimate price. The bag 'em ups will do an autopsy on the suspect. They will determine if the suspect was binged on cocaine when this event happened. Maya earned herself a coffin and hundreds of mourners.

Expect the Westboro Baptist Church to picket the funeral.

The unfortunate tales of the grimy Baltimore streets. They thought in order to stay alive, they had to geek from tricks. They were accused of stealing from prostitutes, tricks, and charity.

I am assuming that Hall and Fleming came out as gay when they were young. They were rejected by family. They experience sex at an early age. I am guessing a family member or a male friend raped them when they were young. They were introduced to drugs. They fell in love with their fix and the dope boy. The dope boy would supply them with all their fixes. The only thing they had to do was let them get the loot and a little bit of head.

Hall and Fleming were probably raped, beaten and robbed during them days of hoeing. After all, transgender prostitutes are often beaten, raped, and killed by the tricks or anti-gay bigots.

Hall and Fleming spent time in the city lockup. Hall before had spent time in the iron college.

Transgender prostitutes often face more dangers because they're considered men in drag. Even if some are transitioning into women, some tricks may have a "panic" if they found out they got head from a woman who was biologically born a man.

In human trafficking, the need to satisfy the fix some turn to their friend the dope boy to help them make that money. Drugs are often associated with the hoeing game. The dope boy can become a prostitute's friend (aka pimp).

Pimps take advantage of female and transgender prostitutes. They offer them love and affection. They provide shelter, food and clothes. All they have to do for the pimp, is make them more money.

Do me a favor? Help my friend.
The Ford Escape is thought to have been stolen from the Terrace Motel in Elkridge, Maryland, where Hall and Fleming went with an unidentified 60-year-old man early Monday morning to 'party'
This hotel told the law that the trick was a regular customer.
The pimp will slut shame prostitutes. "You're not pretty. You can't make money if you look like this. You got to wear this in order to make men get you!"

The pimp will physically assault a prostitute. "Shut up bitch!"

Prostitutes will leave their children, legitimate boyfriends and husbands, and family to get a fix.

Crack cocaine and heroin are the common fix for prostitutes. Often prostitutes rely on sugar daddies and other females for protection. The pimp will always control his hoe.

If you don't get in line, you may end up in the white lines.

The FBI and state governments are trying to crack down on human trafficking. They are trying to push for needle exchanges, safe houses for prostitutes who want to leave the business,  harsher penalties for tricks, mandatory HIV testing for offenders, sexual awareness classes and family counseling.

Human trafficking and advocating prostitution could carry LIFE in the iron college.

Prostitution is a misdemeanor that could land the offender in the iron college for up to a year. If the prostitute or trick are HIV+, the charges are bumped to a CLASS THREE FELONY. That could carry up to 15 years in the iron college if the offender is caught.

Geeking is street lingo for stealing properties in order to acquire drugs.

CO Poisoning Kills Another Ohio Victim!

The law is trying to figure out how a woman died in a carbon monoxide poisoning.

A woman who lived in Vandalia, Ohio died over the weekend. According to the law, she was a victim of carbon monoxide poisoning. Of course, this ends the month of death. Three young girls died in this situation earlier this year. The carbon monoxide gas this odorless, tasteless and colorless and it kills. It doesn't discriminate on who it kills.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Patricia Bolden.

Many don't even know it. But the symptoms of illness, dizziness, nausea and finally the permanent sleep come forth when you're exposed to carbon monoxide.

Many in the emergency agencies always recommend a CO2 Alarms. The CO2 alarms can detect a odor. It's also recommended that you change the batteries of CO2 alarms and smoke detectors whenever you flip the hours during Daylight Saving Time.

Apparently the woman's estranged husband found her body after hours of failed contact.

Bryant Bolden, the husband is grieving over this situation. He and Patricia were separated and were in the possibility of reconciling.

The Brookfield Apartments where Patrica lived are within a few blocks of the Vandalia City Courthouse and police station.

The local gas company determined that it was a furnace. The Montgomery County Bag 'Em haven't concluded its investigation. They have not ruled out foul play in this tragedy.

Somehow, I am getting that feeling like this isn't just a simple accident. More details on this soon.

Facebook Threats Lead To Shooting!

I've taken a break from Facebook. I am not ashamed or worried about people "dropping me".

The past month has been miserable. I've been coping with a lot of things. Some are self-inflicted and others are just consequences of my naive trust for users and abusers.

I am tired of looking at Facebook. All that crap from my "friends" and family, has gotten out of hand. I am tired of looking at their walls or updates.

I've told the good readers of Journal de la Reyna in 2013, that Facebook is destined for a downfall.

It's a matter of time before you will log out and find the next social media sensation.

I mean c'mon. Seriously, how many friends do you really know online?

I know "thousands" of people. But I am close to only one person. ME!

I am reclusive and often times a social outcast. I don't hide my feelings towards certain people and feel that being the dreaded "nice guy" spurns me with nothing but failure and resent towards others.

I've been hurt too many times by people and some of the women I've dated. I've kicked my best friends to the curb. They were useless.

I will continue to associate with people but at a close distance.

Yeah, the social media is getting boring. I spend way too much time online. I got to find ways to break myself of the social media obsession. The social media includes the video streaming, the online dating and blogs.

I am a part of the social media. Me and S. Baldwin have done it for years. I don't think I'll stop blogging online. But maybe I will keep my social media intake to a low.

Stay focus to Journal de la Reyna and help push us into the mainstream.

So I'll post occasionally on Facebook. I will "like" some of my friends postings.

I will tweet some things online. I mean Twitter isn't one of the most frequent places I go to.

I will share a photo or two on Instagram. But I am going to stop following Snoop Dogg. He's posting so much stuff, it's kind of annoying at times. And I am a big fan of the hip-hop icon....

I will cautiously respond to some request on POF, OKCupid, Badoo, and Tinder. Not every woman is truthful on their profiles. About a majority of these profiles are fake. The online dating websites are trying their best to make money off the lonely and desperate. They'll bait you and rope you into a monthly subscription and you'll still be single looking for love.

"I am not a second choice..." to quote my lovely friend name Jordan.

Now back to the subject matter here. Facebook becomes the center of controversy. A group of teens were threatening each other online and wanted to make this brawl into a viral sensation. It didn't go out like they've planned.
Kierra'onna Rice. The price of fame kills this teen.
The victims brought their fists. The suspect brought a gun. And some paid the price for fame.

In Birmingham, Kierra'onna Rice paid the price. The Alabama teen was accompanied with a bunch of ignorant teens. They were witnessing the fight in a park. They wanted to film it but it quickly turned awry when

This feud started with a fight three weeks ago that ended with Rice and several other girls agreeing to meet in a local park for a physical fight. They tipped off others through Facebook to meet up and wanted to settle business.

"Fights on the street are not fair and are extremely unpredictable," he said. "You're agreeing to accepting the harm that may take place to you and others."

Two male suspects began shooting soon after the girls arrived at the park.

"They took it upon themselves to fire recklessly into a crowd," he said.

According to Edwards, there is nothing so far to indicate that the shooting was planned.

Two suspects ages 17 and 19 have been arrested and were identified by witnesses as the shooters. Police will release their names once formal charges have been filed.

Rice is the second 14-year-old homicide victim in Birmingham in the last few weeks.

Edwards said that police are seeing a connection between teenagers and guns, causing "big concerns" among officers.

"We're starting to see a lot of teens armed and extremely dangerous," he said. "We are starting to see them become more violent. They're using guns to solve their issues.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Kierra'onna Rice.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Kills Family In Ohio!

CO incident leaves 2 sisters dead in Troy
Dejah Bishop, her sister and cousin died in a carbon monoxide poisoning.

In Troy, Ohio located 20 miles from Dayton, four children were poisoned by carbon monoxide poisoning. Two of the children passed away Friday, and we here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of 13 year old Dejah and 14 year old Dioanna Bishop.

UPDATE: We learned that 13 year old Jakia Jones has passed away. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to her family as well.

These two young girls were with their two cousins in a home that had a faulty furnace. During that winter month, people use the heat. And I guess the odorless and colorless gas escaped and the sleeping children didn't wake up.
CO incident leaves 2 sisters dead in Troy
Dioanna Bishop.
8 year old Jahari Ward is the only victim left. He is in critical condition. The young children were found by another family member. And to make matters worse, their grandmother is in the hospital for health issues.

This tragedy is horrible and the Dayton Daily News is still getting information about what happen and if any charges are going to be filed in this.

Miami County Sheriff and Troy Police are working on this.

The police said they don’t know if the children had gone to school Friday. They were in the house and someone came home and found them unresponsive and called for help, Anderson said. Medics and police at the scene performed CPR.

What's Cooking Inside The Crime Oven?

Desma KaShay BrownWas she cooking up another misguided caper?

A Georgia woman wanted on credit card fraud charges was found sweating it out in an oven on Thursday, according to police.

Desma KaShay Brown, 25, is accused of using a debit card belonging to her 61-year-old housemate to order $428 worth of clothing earlier this month. The clothes were shipped to Brown's relative's home.

When the man's bank statement arrived, he called police. The man said Brown hadn't been home, and initially Thomasville Police officers were unable to locate her.

But on Wednesday, cops got a tip that Brown might be hiding out at a nearby house. They found the suspect, who is about 5 feet 4 inches tall, in a very unusual place.

“We found her curled up in the oven,” Thomasville Police detective Joey Blackburn told the Times-Enterprise.
Hot stuff.
Police said that although Brown said she'd only been hiding inside the oven for about five minutes, she was already sweating profusely.

She is charged with four counts of financial transaction card fraud, and remains behind bars at the Thomas County Jail on an outstanding probation violation warrant.

She's looking good enough to eat!

This is one of the dumbest criminals ever to exist.

The Ghosts Of Suburbia!

Dayton, Ohio's inner suburb is officially a "ghost town".

Sometimes I've often talked about the situation in my community of Dayton, Ohio. Back in 2007, I've went to YouTube to do "A Tour of Poor Dayton" series. I've outlined the situation of my community in video and shared it with those who were familiar with the situation.

I've won praise for being an advocate for my community. But with this praise came the harsh criticism.

Often, the "you can't fix stupid" crowd would go off on me because I apparently dogged on the city.

How I've would even consider Dayton, "poor"?

I've never said the city was "poor". The situation where businesses are dying and the community is facing a terrible future is the only thing I've talked about. It's a process that is happening in most rust cities where manufacturing was the only thing that kept it going.

Target is closing in the suburb of Trotwood.
Dayton does has revenue. It's just not enough people to experience the joy! People are leaving this city in the masses. Dayton lost its metropolitan status when Springfield broke off to be a micropolitan area.

Now Dayton's metro area includes its inner and outer suburbs with the addition of Troy, Xenia and Eaton as its extended areas.

I want to tell you that so much stuff have happened over the past years, but none so than the situation happening in the suburb of Trotwood, Ohio.

The inner suburb of Dayton is now officially a "ghost town".

I've grew up on the west end of Dayton, Ohio off Gettysburg Avenue. I used to live only a mile from Trotwood. Nowadays, I've often bypassed the city

Back in the early days, Trotwood was once a tiny village. It was just a blip on the county map.

It would merge and annexed the rural Madison Township in 1997 and become a city. During its time, the city was proud to have the Salem Mall, the opening of Ohio State Route 49 extending from U.S. highway 35, and the benefits of one of the finest police force in the nation.
Sears in Trotwood has closed in 2013.
Now it's been over 15 years since Trotwood became a city. And the results are really depressing.

Think about it. With the extension of Ohio State Route 49, I thought the city was going to grow.

There's nothing much over there.

Just a few industrial parks, a food processing plant and a bunch of empty big box stores.

It was confirmed by Target, Inc. that due to insufficient sales, the retail giant is planning on closing its Trotwood and Middletown locations. This puts the nail in the coffin of a community robbed of the big box giant.

Joyce Cameron, mayor of the suburb of Trotwood.
So far this comes as a major blow after Sears and K-Mart left the Trotwood area, respectively. The downfall of Trotwood began when the Salem Mall lost its two anchor stores J.C. Penny and Lazarus (now known as Macy's). Soon all the 90 named brand stores would go out of business or the mall would have mom-and-pop stores. The Salem Mall was officially declared dead in 2003. The mall would later be razed in 2006 and Sears until 2013 was the only store left of the original building.

Then the downward spiral continued through Builder's Square, Bowl-A-Roma, Franks Garden Stores, Gold Circle, Child World Palace, Toys R Us, Elder-Berman and its furniture store (Bon Ton Stores), Walmart, Red Lobster, Arby's, Wendy's, Circuit City, Value City, Best Buy, Cub Foods, MC Sports, Woolhan Lumber Company, Sun Electronics, the West Dayton Drive-In, Loews (The Kon Tiki) Movie Theaters, Rex Electronics, Best, Noble Romans Pizza, Pizza Hut, Applebee's, Drug Emporium, Salem Chrysler Dealership, AJ Wright, the Dayton Jewish Federation, Pier One Imports and not to mention every other business that been in the city.

Yeah, the CSX Railroad Corporation closed the portion of railway went through Trotwood. The City of Dayton bought the remaining short line and once in a while a train would go through the area.
The Salem Mall (circa 1998). The mall was demolished in 2007 after all its lost all its stores.
The only big box stores still in the area include but not limited are JoAnn Fabrics Store, Evans Arena Dodge car dealership, Big Lots, Office Depot, Burlington Coat Factory, Home Depot and Lowes Home Improvement stores.

Sooner or later, these businesses will close or relocate.

The United Theological Seminary, the Greater Dayton RTA Northwest Transit Center, Greyhound, and the Hara Arena are the only things of interest left in the dying suburb.

The racial makeup of the city was 38.66% White, 58.34% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.43% from other races, and 1.98% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.82% of the population.

Since this a majority-minority (mostly Black) suburb, many White people are leaving the city.

This gives the racist right (conservatives or Republicans) a talking point about the status of cities being in "ruins" because of Democrats.

I hate to tell you this, but it's not a Democrat or Republican problem. It's an American problem!

The Dayton Daily News adds that Trotwood City Manager Michael Lucking conceded as much in an interview with Dayton Daily News reporter Kelli Wynn.

Target is the latest store to announce it will leave the area once anchored by the Salem Mall.
Trotwood lost its opportunity to grow when the corporate owners of The Landmark backed out of the development deal. It was supposed to be the revitalization of the dying suburb. The town center is indefinitely suspended.
“No city wants to lose a business within its community. It is disappointing,” he told Wynn when asked about Target’s closing. “As a community, we understand that our future is not retail oriented based upon the changing market place and how stores operate. We have to be proactive in terms of figuring out how we re-purpose those retail buildings.”

So if you're from the Dayton area, what's your take on this situation?

Could Trotwood regain its glory?

Will Dayton survive as a city?

Send us some feedback!

Here's a video from My Tour Of Poor Dayton series. It's back when I actually found interest in driving around with a camera.

Hate On YouTube May Soon Be Gone In One Click!

YouTube: View & Share!

The freedom of speech allows an individual be who they are. If one is to be the nasty condescending bigot online, then you may have to find another place to blow your hate. Google, Inc. the parent company of YouTube and Blogger is going to try to clean up its image. The first thing Google wants to tackle, is the bandwidth trolls. They are going weed out the trolls and permanently ban the hate from its websites.

Yeah, you may have heard of internet trolls. These are the people who constantly write comments on YouTube, Facebook, Blogger, and Twitter nasty, racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, sexist, downright evil comments about an event, a person, or even their own family members.

These people would end up becoming internet cyberbullies and cyberstalkers. These individuals are dangerous. They don't even know how far they'll go before someone hurts them or the person they're targeting.

Lawmakers are trying to curb cyberbullying by passing harassment laws (in regards to online behavior).

I am for that in two ways. It may stop people from creating phony profiles of individuals. I was a victim of this nonsense three years ago. And due to the constant drumbeat of this nonsense, I've semi-retired from making videos on YouTube. There's no reason to keep going on with the likes of some random asshole online. So I decided to move away from the spotlight for now!

It may end the ongoing racial slurs that seem to plague social networks like YouTube.

Mix blatant bigotry with poor spelling. Add a dash of ALL CAPS. Top it off with a violent threat. And there you have it: A recipe for the worst of online comments, scourge of the Internet.

Blame anonymity, blame politicians, blame human nature. But a growing number of websites are reining in the Wild West of online commentary. Companies including Google and the Huffington Post are trying everything from deploying moderators to forcing people to use their real names in order to restore civil discourse. Some sites, such as Popular Science, are banning comments altogether.

The efforts put sites in a delicate position. User comments add a lively, fresh feel to videos, stories and music. And, of course, the longer visitors stay to read the posts, and the more they come back, the more a site can charge for advertising.

What websites don't want is the kind of off-putting nastiness that spewed forth under a recent CNN.com article about the Affordable Care Act.

"If it were up to me, you progressive libs destroying this country would be hanging from the gallows for treason. People are awakening though. If I were you, I'd be very afraid," wrote someone using the name "JBlaze."

YouTube, which is owned by Google, has long been home to some of the Internet's most juvenile and grammatically incorrect comments. The site caused a stir last month when it began requiring people to log into Google Plus to write a comment. Besides herding users to Google's unified network, the company says the move is designed to raise the level of discourse in the conversations that play out under YouTube videos.

One such video, a Cheerios commercial featuring an interracial family, met with such a barrage of racist responses on YouTube in May that General Mills shut down comments on it altogether.

"Starting this week, when you're watching a video on YouTube, you'll see comments sorted by people you care about first," wrote YouTube product manager Nundu Janakiram and principal engineer Yonatan Zunger in a blog post announcing the changes. "If you post videos on your channel, you also have more tools to moderate welcome and unwelcome conversations. This way, YouTube comments will become conversations that matter to you."

White extremists are often on websites that support the Black community.
Anonymity has always been a major appeal of online life. Two decades ago, The New Yorker magazine ran a cartoon with a dog sitting in front of a computer, one paw on the keyboard. The caption read: "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog." At its best, anonymity allows people to speak freely without repercussions. It allows whistle blowers and protesters to espouse unpopular opinions. At its worst, it allows people to spout off without repercussions. It gives trolls and bullies license to pick arguments, threaten and abuse.

But anonymity has been eroding in recent years. On the Internet, many people may know not only your name, but also your latest musings, the songs you've listened to, your job history, who your friends are and even the brand of soap you prefer.

"It's not so much that our offline lives are going online, it's that our offline and online lives are more integrated," says Mark Lashley, a professor of communications at La Salle University in Philadelphia. Facebook, which requires people to use their real names, played a big part in the seismic shift.

"The way the Web was developed, it was unique in that the avatar and the handle were always these things people used to go by. It did develop into a Wild West situation," he says, adding that it's no surprise that Google and other companies are going this route. "As more people go online and we put more of our lives online, we should be held accountable for things we say."

Nearly three-quarters of teens and young adults think people are more likely to use discriminatory language online or in text messages than in face to face conversations, according to a recent poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and MTV. The poll didn't distinguish between anonymous comments and those with real identities attached.

The Huffington Post is also clamping down on vicious comments. In addition to employing 40 human moderators who sift through readers' posts for racism, homophobia, hate speech and the like, the AOL-owned news site is also chipping away at anonymous commenting. Previously, anyone could respond to an article posted on the site by creating an account, without tying it to an email address. This fall, HuffPo began requiring people to verify their identity by connecting their accounts to an email address, but that didn't appear to be enough and the site now also asks commenters to log in using a verified Facebook account.

"We are reaching a place where the Internet is growing up," says Jimmy Soni, managing editor of HuffPo. "These changes represent a maturing (online) environment."

Soni says the changes have already made a difference in the quality of the comments. The lack of total anonymity, while not a failsafe method, offers people a "gut check moment," he says. There have been "significantly fewer things that we would not be able to share with our mothers," in the HuffPo comments section since the change, Soni says.

Newspapers are also turning toward regulated comments. Of the largest 137 U.S. newspapers - those with daily circulation above 50,000 - nearly 49 percent ban anonymous commenting, according to Arthur Santana, assistant communications professor at the University of Houston. Nearly 42 percent allow anonymity, while 9 percent do not have comments at all.

Curbing anonymity doesn't always help. Plenty of people are fine attaching their names and Facebook profiles to poorly spelled outbursts that live on long after their fury has passed.

In some cases, sites have gone further. Popular Science, the 141-year-old science and technology magazine, stopped allowing comments of any kind on its news articles in September.

While highlighting responses to articles about climate change and abortion, Popular Science online editor Suzanne LaBarre announced the change and explained in a blog post that comments can be "bad for science."

Because "comments sections tend to be a grotesque reflection of the media culture surrounding them, the cynical work of undermining bedrock scientific doctrine is now being done beneath our own stories," wrote LaBarre.

The Huffington Post and Associated Press contributed to the story.

Now I want an understanding to why Google's YouTube taken extreme measures on the nasty comments.

Here's an example of what YouTube deals with on a frequent basis.
